I debated on writing this but I had to. I had a bad experience at the this property because I had to pay an additional fee for wristbands and parking. Then the unit was very dirty. Where should I begin. There was sand all throughout the unit, the stove was gross, the linen was the most awful. The linen had stains, sand, and the pullout had food,sand, and soiled. I have stayed at Laketown Wharf and have never experienced such a nasty unit. The showers are in desperate need of a deep cleaning and bleaching. The floors are also in need of a scrubbing. The elevators situation is also a huge problem. I am not pleased with what I paid for.

Loved the rooms and beds and all the hotel amenities. Elevators were super fast for the 19th floor. Master TV was busted and never worked. Everything else was great.

I loved it was close to the beach. The pools were nice. I hated to wait 30 minutes for an elevator to go down or up. TV in bedroom turned on but cable did not work.

Other than finding a few scraps of food (donut in the bedroom and crackers in the living area) which was a little off-setting to start our stay with, our accommodations were exceptionally nice, comfortable and spacious. Being on the 19th floor provided us with an awesome view of the ocean, the beach and the surrounding areas of Panama City Beach. The only problem, which was a MAJOR problem, was the elevator. I understand that this is a separate entity than the home we stayed in, but it was a huge deterrent in our decisions to leave the condo or stay in, which led to fewer "adventures" than we would like to have had. The average wait time for the elevator was 15 minutes - the longest wait was about 30 minutes. In addition to the extensive wait time, many times the elevators were dangerously full and I was worried for our safety. So if the elevator issue could be handle and cleaning could be more detailed, Laketown Wharf 1931 would be one of the best places to stay in Panama City Beach, Florida!

For them to have that many rooms on the property and to only have 1 elevator working for the whole building we stayed on the 19th floor and had to go up and down the stairs everyday/everytime we needed to leave. Also the room was never cleaned we had to wash all the comforters and sheets before we could even go to sleep the towels were dirty as could be with stains and looked to be like pet hair on them all. The people at the lobby didn’t seem to know much of anything when it came to asking about the elevators they just told us it was not their business they don’t know when they would be fixed.

The room was nice , the view was nice and is a good place to be at. But you have to pay for the parking extra $60 dollars , and the elevator takes for ever and is a nightmare, whenever is time to check out is hell to even get down.

The location is fantastic! Lot of pools on the premises! Places to eat on the ground floor! We had a wonderful stay with the only exception being having to wait for elevators! You would have 2 full elevators stop before the third usually had room because half the elevators didn't work!

This was the worse experience we have ever had. We will not stay at another va casa managed property. We didn’t even get our check in email until we called on our way down to the reservation. Unreal! My husband, who stayed back to work, was unable to get them to communicate. Stay away from this company in PCB and this rental. Gross!!!!

Second time staying at Laketown Wharf as the location is perfect for beach access and main attractions. Balcony has a nice lake view while the front door exit has a beach view. Kitchen had everything we needed as we forgot to pack our own utensils. The only thing was that some bedsheets/linens/towels had some stains and hairs but that was easily fixed with the extra set that were left. Overall, really satisfied with our experience.

I do appreciate management calling to check how my stay was going and trying to make it right, but that unit needs a serious deep clean and it’s probably a good time to replace those sofas.
My actual personal deal breaker was the inconvenience of the elevators. It was frustrating waiting 30 minutes any time I needed to leave. For that reason alone, I wouldn’t stay here again. The wait time made it discouraging to want to go anywhere. (Disclaimer, this was a holiday weekend so that likely played a part in the wait time)

The condo was clean. The property is extremely large and not enough elevators. The elevators are slow and can take up to 10 minutes during afternoon crowds. The mattresses need to be replaced, they have zero support and have had many guests on them.

The best thing about this condo is that it’s at the beach, hence the three stars. The bedsheets were full of sand upon arrival. No trash bags in the kitchen. Not even one in the trashcan. The pullout couch mattress was nothing but springs. Our guests had to sleep on the floor because it was more comfortable than the mattress. Several knobs were missing from the drawers on the furniture. No one took a hot shower all weekend. We love PCB, but do not recommend booking this unit to anyone unless there are positive changes made.
