About this condo rental
Located in Placencia, this attractive condo for $239 per night is a great option for your next break. Luxury 1 or 2 BR, 2 BA, Walk to Village Caribbean Sea, Lagoon, and Mountain views Located at the tip of the 23 mile long Placencia Peninsula where the Caribbean Sea and Placencia Lagoon meet. Sunset Pointe is in the village yet totally private. This condo can be rented as a 1 bedroom 2 bath unit or a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. Since we are a small condo community with only 13 units it is a safe and private place for you and your family to relax and enjoy. We have only 3 buildings with 4 units in each building, two upstairs and two downstairs separated by a 15 foot breezeway. We have no common walls. This small complex means that our 2 Caribbean docks, our pool, and our 3 third floor viewing decks will never be crowded. It is open concept design with each room opening onto a private porch through hand made mahogany French Doors, cool tile floors, air conditioning and seven ceiling fans. The kitchen is well equipped with stainless steel appliances and full size washer and dryer. Decorated in handcrafted Belize bamboo and hardwood furniture plus local art work. We are a convenient 5 minute walk into the village for great restaurants, beach bars, and shopping. We also provide complimentary bikes and kayaks for our guests to use so no car is needed. For your enjoyment we provide cable TV, internet, and DVD. Guides will pick our guests up onsite for offshore fishing, diving, or island hoping or for inland adventures to Mayan Ruins, caves, waterfalls, zip lining, hiking the worlds largest Jaguar Preserve, or horse back riding. There is a third floor Widows Walk were you can enjoy sunrises over the Caribbean Sea, sunsets over Placencia Lagoon and the Mayan Mountains. You can also have a relaxing private massage up there. The beautifully landscaped grounds were given an award by the World Wildlife Organization for incorporating the tropical mangroves into the lush landscaping.

Recommend this property, it was very clean, as described, everyone was very friendly and a walkable distance from restaurants and shopping. We did rent a golf cart, which we recommend and rent early. We had our coffee watching the sunrise and cocktails watching the sunset on the dock. The pool was great and if we wanted to go to the beach we went to Placencia Beach Club. It was the perfect place to relax and we will go back.

The condo was clean, and the site manager was accommodating. Because of the rain, we drove to other locations, but otherwise, we would have been able to use the provided complimentary bikes.

Don’t hesitate to book this stay! The host was so responsive and communicative, check in process was seamless. The condo itself is exactly as pictured, beautiful and clean. The location is a short walk into town which was very convenient. Overall we loved our stay and would absolutely come again.

Francisco was extremely helpful, from the moment we arrived to the the departure in our taxi yesterday. We fell in love with sweet Luna and that gruffly sounding Tiger, 😂.
Alfred was so much fun, we didn’t want do anything other than hang out with him every day. We all learned so much about the area, the culture and the snorkeling was to die for. He’s a gem.

We spent a week at Janis’ condo and had a wonderful time. The building and condo are impeccable! Janis called before our trip to check in and see if we needed anything. Francisco was absolutely lovely and keeps the grounds beautiful. We would rent from Janis again.

I arranged for my ex-husband and son to stay at this property for three nights while on a motorcycle journey from the USA to Argentina.
They reported back that they really enjoyed their stay in Placencia and that the property was excellent.
It was quite a bit more upscale than what they’ve been staying in and it was a nice treat along the way.
Watching the sunrise with coffee on the widows walk was a great way to start their day.
It is a close walk into the main part of Placencia but peaceful and quiet when you return.
I have stayed at Sunset Pointe in the past, and it is seriously the best place to stay in Placencia. If you get a chance you really need to book this property.
I look forward to booking a stay next year. It’s been too long since I’ve been back to Belize.

We fell in love with Placencia and this wonderful property felt comfortable and luxurious. Francisco, the caretaker, was helpful but gave us plenty of space/privacy. The beds were kind of hard but we got used to it. Everything else was excellent! We can’t wait to come back.

Relaxing stay in perfect condo
The condo has the cutest decor and the loveliest location! Our tours were able to pick us up at the canal. The breezy dock is right there for reading and relaxing. Easy communication with owner. Only the WiFi was not always reliable. Overall a wonderful stay!!

Beautiful property. We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Pointe.
We enjoyed our view from the Pier, the Pointe and the roof. Our only disappointment was no BBQ grill to use. Our friends rented a different condo on the same property and theirs had a nice propane grill and large table with padded chairs on the back deck. We ate our meals at their condo as they had the grill.
We definitely want to thank Janis for her recommendation of Alfred Williams and sons. They done an awesome job of being our tour guides. The massage therapist was amazing also. Thank you for a great vacation spot.

Lots of personal touches!

Placencia Paradise!
Placencia is now my favorite beach destination in Belize. It is much more laid back and relaxed than Ambergris Caye and I loved that! And Sunset Pointe was perfect. I loved not getting in my car for 5 days! This is the perfect location a bit away from the village, but still an easy walk. I highly recommend it!

Thank you Janis for allowing travelers to stay in your beautiful condo. It is truly picturesque. The view from the upper deck is as advertised.The reason I did not give it 5 stars is the road getting to the condo. I live on an unimproved road and it is not that difficult to maintain. The only other issue,which was minor,was the small restroom sink did not drain well. I reported it to Francisco . He said he would fix it. he did not. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it. The condo,views and pool/spa out weigh any negatives.. Thanks again Wilson and Renee'

Beautiful unit, privacy with central location
This condo at sunset pointe was perfect. Located at the end of the street and surrounded by water, it was a five minute walk to town. The beds were so comfortable, and the unit is stocked with everything you would need. Use of bikes and kayaks are a bonus. This has the luxury of the higher priced accommodations with a better price tag and location. Owner was prompt with responses, and although we did not need any help from the caretaker, he is there if a question should arise. Our fishing guide picked us up at our dock in the morning, just walk out the door. Perfect place if staying in Placencia, you will not regret spending time here. Thank you !

This is a quaint, quiet, and very beautiful place.
We enjoyed our stay so much. I think probably one of the most beautiful places to stay in Placencia. Setting on dock and watching birds, fish jump, and boats was nice. The place is conveniently located but not too close to village. Nice walk if weather is good. Renting a golf cart was a good idea and fun to drive. Roads were really bumpy, but no hurry no worry. Pool was amazing and hot tub relaxing. We went on 3 excursions while here. Monkey River, Ranguana Caye, and Laughing Bird Caye. Our guides were great, snorkeling incredible, and howler monkeys haunting. The boat rides pretty rough going out but worth the jostling.Thank you for making this Christmas with my family a trip I’ll never forget.

DID NOT DISAPPOINT: FAB-FIND!!!!!
My girlfriend and I spent (a too quick) three days at Sunset Pointe...and honestly I can't think of ONE SINGLE thing we'd've done differently! Not one amenity missed; not one expectation not met; not one -- even remotely -- missed experience awaited! Every person we met along the way was genuine, friendly, helpful and inviting. We rented a golf-cart for transportation -- and zipped around town, the beach, the shops and back to the condo without a care in the world!
The grounds and home was immaculate; the pointe was an adventure in itself; and no matter which way -- from inside our stunning accommodation -- there was spectacular water and peaceful scenary to be found!!! We were also excited that one night, we had a bit of a windstorm...with all windows and open...it was simply magic!!!
No possibly way we won't be back... bringing additional friends and family!!! Can't not wait to share this experience with those closest to me. This was a game-changing experience -- lot's of love, light and peace on this slice of heaven-on-earth! Thank you so much for hosting us!

Everything you need and more
Condo #2 at Sunset Pointe was great. It's close to the pool and the docks. It was clean and had plenty of beach towels. Check in and out was easy. We used the bikes offered and rode into the village each day. We fished on the property and watched the storms from the amazing porches. It was a great time. I highly recommend Sunset Pointe and Condo #2. Thank you Janis for having us.

Beautiful Belize!!
We were very happy that we booked our stay at Sunset Pointe! The condo was just as the pictures showed and so much more. The location was perfect. It's close enough to walk into town, while being tucked away at the end of the peninsula, providing a quiet, serene and picturesque view of the sea, lagoon and mountains. It is very well stocked, one of the best VRBOs I've stayed in, just bring your flip flops and swimsuit. The pool is lovely and so are the grounds.
We rented a car in Belize City and drove the Hummingbird Hwy down, highly recommend if you have the opportunity. Placencia is very laid back, the people are warm and friendly, the food is amazing. We did the Monkey River tour, our guide was Jason. He was fantastic, very knowledgeable of plants, trees, birds and animals. This was an educational, fun tour. We also went river tubing and toured one of the many waterfalls Belize has to offer.
Thank you Janis for renting your beautiful condo to us, also thanks for all the tips on what to see and do. We had a wonderful time and will be back!

Beautiful, very clean condo in wonderful location
We stayed for a week at the condo, cooked breakfast and some dinners and did lots of activities in the area. The condo was perfect for everything. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked and everything was extremely clean. The condo is very nicely decorated. We took several day tours (reef, spice and chocolate farm and Monkey River) with Alfred Williams who is a great guide with lots of local knowledge and gives a very personalized tour. The Bunches of Fun banana farm tour is also exceptional. The condo is well located for easy access to Placencia, only about a 10-15 minute easy walk to town center (don't miss Tutti Fruiti gelato shop, among others). Alfred picked us up for trips in his boat right at the condo and the taxi to the banana farm also was right from the condo. We enjoyed the porch as a great place to eat meals and watch the water and sunset. The washer and dryer came in very handy especially to dry beach towels (don't dry well otherwise in the humidity). Everything was great. Janis was excellent at quickly responding to our questions before our arrival and provided lots of good information.

Fantastic! Sunset Pointe in one of Janis' condos, Superb!
I would first like to thank Janis for all the assistance leading up to our week long stay at Sunset Pointe. Our vacation was an anniversary surprise for my wife and Janis answered any questions and sent us all the information immediately. She also offered to help with any special anniversary things we may want to do. Since we were driving down from Belize City, she also provided directions and places to stop and eat on the way. All this made our trip to Sunset Pointe great!
Once we arrived, Francisco and his family (caretaker) showed us our condo and offered their help to make our stay wonderful. All I can say about the condo is that it is fantastic and well designed to make use of the indoors and outdoors! The pool was very refresing and great place to relax and meet other visitors. The grounds around the condos were also immaculate. As Janis told us, the village is within a short walk from the condo. We found that the people were very friendly and every meal we had was some of the best food we've ever had anywhere! As I understand it, Janis designed the condo area, great job! Oh, by the way, my wife could not have been any more surprised, nor any happier then our stay at Sunset Pointe!! When we return to Belize, we will be staying at Sunset Pointe!

Outstanding Stay!
What a great place to stay! Sunset Pointe is the best location in Placencia! The unit was perfectly decorated, comfortable and the amenities were great! We used the pool, hot tub, kayaks, piers and bicycles during our stay. We loved how quiet Sunset Pointe is and how easily we could ride our bikes to nearby bars, restaurants and shopping in the village. Janis told us we would like it and it definitely exceeded our expectations! We will be back soon!
