Perfect getaway spot between Dahlonega and Gainesville right on Lake Lanier. Deck, patio and fire pit got much use. Owner Jim was terrific and responsive.

We loved sitting on the huge back porch/sunroom to relax. This home is newly renovated and so cute. The owner let us dock our boat next to his at the house for convenience. Our stay was short but very relaxing. Love the north side of the lake.

I rated this place a "5" it was very nice, other than groceries and clothing you don't need anything else. My week stay here was much needed and I plan to return next year.

This place was perfect,my to girls ages 6 and 9 can't wait to go back! We swam, played on the paddle boats and did a lot of fishing! My 9 year old caught 22 fish while there, mostly sunfish and catfish! I hooked a huge gar but lost him at the dock. Jim was great and quick to get back to answer any questions I had. Overall great experience! Thank you Jim!

This is our second time at Jim’s Lakehouse. We were so excited to return! It was just what we needed as a family. All electronics stayed in the house throughout the day while we enjoyed and made wonderful memories down on the lake. We tied up our floats and floated in our quiet little Cove area while the kids enjoyed jumping from the top deck into the deep water. Drinks, music and water..what else could you ask for!! In the evening time we played family games out on the back screened in porch. Our youngest was out on the dock every evening fishing. He caught an alligator gar and several bass. My husband took me on a date night in downtown Gainesville. They have a cute little downtown Square and park with a bunch of great restaurants surrounding the circle. We had wine and apps at Cork It, very romantic. We did make a point to stay at the house at least every other day to enjoy the wonderful amenities. On the other days we checked out the nearby outlet mall , rented a boat from Paradise Rentals for the day and our favorite adventure was white water rafting on the Ocoee River! Def recommend Ocoee Rafting!! The House is in the perfect location. Plenty of room...and the couch...Holy cow the most comfortable couch EVER! We took several afternoon naps on this heavenly piece of furniture. If you are looking to get back to family time and to just relax and clear your mind and enjoy nature I definitely recommend this house!

It is a nice place to unwind. Quite and relaxing. A beautiful place by the lake, waiting for the sunset by the dock and then having a bonfire after. I would love to go back again. The owner Jim even checked on us to see if we need anything.

Comfortable, cozy, well equipped house. Owner was extremely helpful and accomodating. Loved that kitchen has a large, empty pantry for guest use!

A great place right on the water with easy views from porch to dock thats in a very small cove with no boat traffic (kids can swim freely without someone on boat patrol.) Spacious kitchen and family room. Bedrooms and bathrooms are somewhat small and plain but the screened porch, outdoor porch or lake is where it's all at anyway! Very helpful and responsive owner.

We came 2 years ago and had a such great experience we came back for more! Lots of family memories made at such a lovely spot on the lake.

My family of 4 stayed here for about a month, during the pandemic, while we were in between houses. It was the perfect place for us! There were 4 bedrooms which gave us all private space while adults worked from home and kids home-schooled. We definitely stress tested the wi-fi and it was outstanding! The home is lived in, meaning it has every potential gadget and comfort of home. You can literally show up with clothes and groceries and your vacation is ready to roll! There is everything in the kitchen you could need, plenty of linens and water toys, fishing poles, grill, games, etc. The dock is an amazing place to hang out and watch the lake activity and sunsets! We had many camp fires in the beautiful fire pit! The TV's were superior quality as well! The house is in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood and the owner was amazing to deal with! We really enjoyed our time at the home and look forward to returning soon. Highly recommend - can't say enough!!!

We had a great time at this home. It does need lots of maintenance though in the home and the dock. The beds are old and sink in the middle. Some more and newer kitchen/cooking supplies would be helpful, it was difficult to cook and prep food.

We were very pleased with our accommodations, setting, and communication with owner. Answered questions & met our needs. The property has a beautiful dock (easy to walk to!) with lots of seating, shade or sun, boating items, etc. Fire pit with more seating. Loved the screened in porch with water view. Inside more comfy seating with TV’s, games; nice sleeping arrangements, & spacious kitchen with many items. Washer & dryer and cabinets/closets with supplies- pillows, sheets, blankets, cleaning items, washing powders, paper towels & toilet paper. It was clean & well decorated; recently renovated. We all enjoyed the short drive to stores, restaurants & many site-seeing locations were not far either. Boating on the lake was less congested in this northern area of the lake. Very pleased with owner, property & vacation.

The property was great. Jim was extremely helpful and the amenities were just what we had expected. We spent most of our time on the top level of the dock enjoying the views. The location was excellent for a enjoying the lake and the mountains.
