Nearby is the Adventure Out West Ziplines: where all Waltons Mountain guests receive a discount. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, this fully furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage is the place! The full kitchen, outdoor hot tub, incredible mountain views, Wi-Fi, and smart TV are more than enough to make your stay memorable and enjoyable. Waltons Mountain Cottage provides a unique and exciting vacation experience for small families, romantic get aways, or just a relaxing weekend trip. The cottage will not disappoint. Complete kitchen with stove, refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishes, pans and silverware, that is open to the dining and living area. The cottage is about a 20 minute walk to the famous downtown Manitou Springs area where shopping and dining are a must. The walk back is about a 20 minute hike back up the mountain, so plan accordingly. If you will be shopping and aren’t up for a good hike both ways, you may want to drive to town. Plenty of acreage to explore from the thousands of hiking trails to the old Midland railroad train tunnels. Manitou Springs is minutes away for world-famous sights such as the cog railway, the Manitou Incline, Cave of The Winds, and shopping, restaurants, and arcade that make downtown Manitou Springs famous. A great escape from the bustle of cities, clean, every thing you would need to have a relaxing time. hot tub was very soothing. Great views would recommend that you stay at the little cottage at the almost top of the mountain

Everything was good, we arrive early in the morning because we were road trip to Colorado from Texas and was ask about early check in. The host was cool with early check in and we were able to unload the packages and take some rest. I don’t know this is because we get early, but the bed sheets weren’t cleaned, there was a dog hair on the bed and dusts on table and dishes and hot tub we could not use the hot tub because it wasn’t cleaned. However other thing were great grill, location, communication etc. you should visit here when you go to Colorado

Location and information on how to find stay was excellent. We were excited when we approached the home but then...front door sliding screen fell off. It has not been maintain for some time. Then we discovered a safety wood fence rotted away and lying on the patio next to a very steep slope. We felt that we could not even use the patio area since it was not clean or safe.
Also, the TV remotes do not match the instruction book and it was almost impossible to use the two remotes to find any reception. We were disappointed with much of our experience because of these issues. However, loved Manitou Springs and the surrounding area.

The cottage was so cute! We enjoyed the hot tub after strenuous hiking. Very peaceful and quiet.

This was a quiet, little cottage away from the business and traffic of the downtown shopping area. My only concern was the house past us a little further down had a not so friendly brown/black dog that would come running up to you and growl. With having a 16 month old who was loving having a big open place to play and run, (I have two dogs at home and she loves “puppy”), I was a little nervous this dog would come do something. Other than that, beautiful little get away with my dad and daughter! John, thank you for being so kind and informative prior to our arrival!

We rented both the lodge and cottage for our family reunion and it worked great! The adults in the cottage loved having their own space, and their own hot tub! The house was great and the A/C unit in the living area worked well to cool the entire cottage. There is one parking spot directly in front of the cottage, and the rest is shared with the lodge

Secluded property where we saw lots of deer roaming. All amenities were provided, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, etc. hot tub was clean. Really nice house for our family of 4 to get away!!

Great area if you don’t want to stay close to others…even though you aren’t very far from a ton of activities (Incline, trails, shopping…etc). This was my second time at this house and my family really enjoyed it.

I stayed in The Cottage. This place is wonderful! Feels very homey and clean. I definitely plan on coming back. At the lodge (with extended family) or the cottage with my kiddos and husband! John the property manager is great! It snowed one of the nights during my stay and John had shoveled it away from the patio and around the car in the morning. That was absolutely above and beyond. I’m so thankful for the peace and quiet of this place. I appreciate the obvious care and love that is put into this property. OH and the view of the night sky is stunning. Just layers upon layers of stars you won’t see in town. It’s only a short drive to get to anywhere around there you want to go. I would definitely recommend this lovely abode!

We really liked this little cottage. It says it sleeps 4, but only has 1 small bathroom, that's attached to one of the bedrooms, so I can't imagine being there with anybody else. Even with our kids, it would've been a little weird. Great location. VERY QUIET AND PRIVATE! The bigger, lodge, house sits 30 feet from the cottage, and there was a bunch of people staying there (5 or 6 vehicles) and we never heard them. If it's like it wasn't for their cars, I wouldn't even have known they were there. I'd highly recommend this cottage for a weekend getaway, for a couple, and MAYBE a small child.

Property was as shown. I had a couple of questions while we were there. I got an answer immediately from the owner. Only minutes from Manitou. Enjoyed the hot tub and seclusion. Will stay again next time we come out.

For our visit to the area, we wanted something simple that would allow us to spread out, have some privacy, and enjoy the stars with a hot tub. This place fit the bill. Not far from Cave of the Winds and the Garden of the Gods. Easy to reach town with much close by.

We rented The Cottage in addition to renting The Cabin due to the size of our family and at the suggestion of the owner and let me tell you, it was the best decision made! Great to have the extra space and the ability to spread out. This gave us 2 hot tubs to use and extra kitchen space for meal prep, not to mention a nice little place to escape some of the noise and commotion from the 11 kids :) All in all we couldn’t have asked for better.

David had great communication and the place was well stocked with everything we needed. There was road work on two roads when we stayed and at one point we were unable to leave the property to go into town by car due to limited routes in and out. At least one smoke detector looks like it needs to be replaced. Cabin was clean other than lots of dust build up on bedroom walls and 1 ceiling. We received a discount at adventures out west which was great and David accommodated our request for an early check in.

Terrific little cabin
Perfect for our 2night stay on our way to west Colorado. Well furnished kitchen. Super comfy beds. One and only one picky negative. There is a tube skylight in the master bedroom that is incredibly bright in the early morning hours. Otherwise it was a perfect stay

Walton’s Mountain - cottage
Had a great time … the cottage doesn’t have central air conditioning.. it has a portable air conditioner that had a hard time keeping it cool during this heat wave.

Property was perfect. It was a few minutes from town but you felt like you were completely secluded.

The cottage was cute and fitting to our needs. My dislikes, the hot tub had a funky smell to it, there is only 1 parking space for cottage guests, and lastly the dryer makes an awful noise when running. I would recommend anyone who choses to book this cottage, do it thru their personal web page as it is cheaper.

Rustic Cottage, but enjoyable stay!
This property was extremely hard for us to find and get to. Even SIRI got us lost. But we did enjoy the feel of being in the woods and away from the hordes of people down in the town. The property needs some updating and repairs, especially the screen door and the shower, but we were very pleased overall with the size of the rooms and the amenities. We would recommend this "Cottage" to others wanting a rustic but comfortable place to stay in Manitou Springs. By the way, no air conditioning. We did see deer and rabbits nearly every day,
and enjoyed the views of the nearby zipline activity.

Great cabin
The cottage was very clean with great views. Very roomy layout. Loved grilling on the patio and watching the sunset. Walkable to downtown Manitou but steep coming back so we took an uber. The zip line was a short drive away and we got 30% off for staying at the cabin. The cottage was a great value and we really enjoyed our stay.
