About this house rental
New for 2024: New Kitchen with Professional Gas Range, Sub Zero Refrigerator, Custom Cabinets, and Stone Countertops. "Shining Star", boasts spectacular ocean and bay views that offer amazing sunrises and beautiful sunsets for you and your family to enjoy. This spacious house gives your family over 5500 square feet of living area and over 2000 square feet of decks, complete with a hot tub and private pool, all siting right on the beachfront. The rooftop deck, one of the highest viewpoints in Sandbridge, provides views of Sandbridge, the Atlantic Ocean and Back Bay. Tastefully decorated in a beach theme, the home utilizes bright colors and tropical decor. The expansive Great Room, featuring a cathedral ceiling and natural wood beams, offers open and relaxing entertainment. Your family can take in ocean views from every window, or lounge in front of the LCD TV and enjoy their favorite shows. Overlooking the Great Room is the Loft, serving as additional entertainment and sleeping area. The Dining area offers seating for family gatherings and reunions, seating over 24. You will appreciate the gourmet kitchen complete with 2 dishwashers and 2 microwaves. The house features 10 bedrooms including five master suites complete with their own baths and a family suite with a Jack & Jill bath. On the lower level, additional entertainment space is provided including a second full-size refrigerator and a 7-foot pool table. Miss all the traffic and arrive on Friday to enjoy the weekend at the beach! Loft-Level: Den with Foosball Table and Rooftop Deck Access. All Sandbridge Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a small fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per bathroom sink. We also provide kitchen towels. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent. Right on the beach with lots of attractions nearby. We visited the Aquarium, the Norfolk Zoo, and the Children's Museum in Portsmouth. Shopping was also fun!
The selling point for me was the long table which could seat more than twenty at a time! We could take our meals together rather than in separate locations or shifts!

We gathered family at the house to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday. It was so great! Lots of good gathering places - for all together around the table or to split into smaller groups for chatting or games. There were plenty of places to retreat if you need some quiet or to put your feet up. Great views from multiple floors and angles. We caught the sunrise over the ocean and the sunset over the water from the roof on the other side. Everybody loved it and we hope to visit again!

Spent 4 days with out of town family in Sandbridge for the Christmas holiday. The check-in process was seamless and the property was centrally located and in proximity (5 miles) to shopping and other services.
The property is a bit older, but well maintained. We were blessed with higher than normal temps during the holiday so we used the jacuzzi, outdoor decks and seating areas and walked on the beach.
The temps did not support use of the pool and coincidentally there were crabs in the pool - yikes!
At this price point I expected a bit more polish. The bedding in most of the bedrooms _ sheets were ill fitted and not fresh. Pillows were worn and could use a refresh. It was disappointing that there was not even a dust pan and the broom was tattered. I always like to tidy up after each day - we did bring dish detergent, trash bags etc - bit there wasn't even a mop and with kids there's going to be a spill.
Recommend ensuring basic cleaning supplies are in the home. Additionally, whomever cleans the property could probably up their game a bit. I swept up and wiped everything down before our guests arrived. Lastly, the gift bag was a bit insulting and it would be best to not offer it.

We were a little concerned based on the review from October. However, after contacting the rental company and obtaining more information we felt very comfortable with proceeding. All matters identified in October had been handled by the rental company. The communication process with the rental company was extremely easy. Some emails and some text messages took care of almost everything. We did speak with them on the phone because of the issues from October. The home was well equipped and clean upon arrival. There was not much we needed that we could not find. We ordered extra towels based on the towel policy of the rental company. This was very helpful for our multi night stay. The home has fantastic views east and west and the fourth floor loft and deck is spectacular. We would definitely stay again.

A mushroom was growing behind the toilet in The main master bath and a large amount of black mold was growing in the master bath shower on the second floor. We alerted the management property. We were surprised at the response of ‘sorry you encountered the situation and thank you for letting us know’.

The house was perfect and the views were amazing. We were even able to see dolphins from the balcony. It was so easy for everyone to enjoy themselves.

It would be nice if signs were posted that you have to park in a certain direction so you wouldn’t receive a ticket. Also more time needs to be allowed for cleaning the unit. We found cobweb in the lamps ceilings and corners, sliding door tracks were filthy (we had babies crawling). Would have been ice to have a mop and pail to wipe the floors with as well as a dust pan. Also some of the furniture had not been dusted in quite a while. It’s a beautiful property just need to have it deep cleaned once or twice a year.

Great experience. Great property. Gathered the family for my wife's 60th. House was immaculate and everything I had hoped it would be.

Great house - poor management
The house overall was great. What we didn't know, because we booked through VRBO instead of directly through the management company, is that the house wouldn't be furnished with even BASIC supplies for our stay. No trash bags, no kitchen towels or sponges, no soap, and an array of DANGEROUSLY dull knives. I just cannot understand why a house built to house 20+ people would not have basic supplies like that. It really ruined the experience for us. There were to itty-bitty cutting boards to use as well, which was basically worthless for our use.
We contacted the property management company multiple times to request a late check-out due to our flight itinerary. They never responded to our calls or texts. Finally on the last day, the cleaning company showed up at 10am sharp at check-out time and I just told them to come back. I was happy to pay the late-checkout fee, but they should have told us over the several days of our stay that it wasn't okay. We had no choice.
I was especially bothered that, despite them sounding as if they were available 24/7 by text message, we sent them texts and then never got responses. HOWEVER - they sent us plenty of canned/automated messages such as "Let us know how your stay is going!" after I told them about a broken toilet.
By the way, the toilet was fixed but then broke again. A second toilet broke on the last day of our stay. The rooms also had sandy floors and one of the bathrooms has tiny ants everywhere. Just a lot of little things that added up for us.

Definitely not up to VRBO standards.
This property is a great beach location. Otherwise it was very disappointing. The kitchen was absolutely filthy. Clearly it had not been cleaned at all. There were crumbs everywhere, dried lettuce and food in the sink, coffee spills down the cabinets. The sink in the kitchen was leaking and there was a disgusting rubber pan collecting the water. The leak was reported immediately and problem was never addressed. The entire house was dusty and sandy. I want the owners to know what a poor job Sandbridge Blue is doing for them. I would never rent a property they are managing again.

Perfect retreat house
We rented this home for a womens retreat. Perfect number of bedrooms and bathrooms, space for all to eat, well equipped kitchen, and can't beat the view.
