The downstairs bathroom is a larger, full size bathroom. Also for your enjoyment is a two person hot tub on the lower deck. A short distance from your vacation home is the world famous Watauga River where you can fish for Brown, Brook or Rainbow Trout. The area is filled with other rivers and streams to fish from or hike along. The cabin, with a wraparound deck, provides a wonderful wooded view and is within 15 minutes of Blowing Rock, a small “artsy” town filled with great restaurants and shopping. The city of Boone is also about a 15 minute drive, and will allow you to fill your grocery cart with fine foods and fill your cultural heart with good music and plays. For the family or people of other interests, there is hiking galore, skiing and snow-boarding in winter, golf, Family Billiards, Grandfather Mountain, historic general stores, antiquing, kayaking, horse back riding, gem mining for the kids, rock climbing, and world class spas. After a day out, spend the evening soaking in the hot tub, listen to the sounds of nature on our deck, choose a book from our reading library, watch a movie from our DVD selection on the new flat screen TV... or just CHILL OUT. Come visit us. You will be glad you did. (Rates subject to change without notice. Seasonal rates do apply. The property manager did a great job communicating but the house needs to be pulled off the rental market until some repairs are made. The roof had a partially finished repair which caused a water leak, the internet cable was ripped off the house and did not work the first few days. The property manager did respond quickly and did good to try to resolve, however having to deal with multiple issues made me feel like I was at home managing my personal house. The owner had a contractor come with no warning to put a tarp on the roof and they were banging around first thing in the morning and woke us up. It is a neat house and has a lot of potential with a beautiful location but desperately needs some updating. Overall it was fine but it was a little disappointing and uncharacteristic of a VRBO rental. I have rented multiple properties using VRBO and I just showed up everything worked perfectly and I left with no need to contact manager or deal with any issues. I would not rent this property again with out some updates, especially the bathrooms

We totally enjoyed our stay. The cabin is in a beautiful, gated community. The cabin was very clean and very well stocked. Highly recommended. The property manager was very easy to work with.

Came in to a sweet note with a bottle of wine and some goodies congratulating us on our anniversary. The house was clean and everything we could need was there. We LOVE the location perched up on the mountain side with a little creek running past the hot tub outside. Great communication from the property manager and just all-around pleasant transaction and stay!!

I think it needs updating....and definitely better lighting using daylight bulbs which give off a brighter light. The bathrooms and kitchen need complete updating . Less nick knacks and more white is needed... Looks old which makes it not look very dirty!!!

The cabin is beautiful. The views were just breath taking. Definitely what we were looking for in a weekend get away to go snow boarding. The property owner, Lynn, is super nice. The cabin is labeled for all of your info. The snow just made it much more comfortable. Highly recommend this cabin for the comfort, views, and location.

Due to an issue at the property, we ended up staying at an alternate property. The renters were fabulous in everything they did for us. A great stay in a beautiful area.
