There's free parking/wifi, an outdoor patio, sea breezes, song of birds and lots more! It's an excellent place to stay for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. FALSE ADVERTISING
Hi! Please note there are TWO "mother-in-law" units on either side of the garage -- not a total of 1800 sq ft but two units @900ft each.
Pros: state of the art kitchen/bathrooms. Immaculate. Comfy beds. Great for two couples.
Cons: not "family-friendly", Sign a contract not allowing you to take ubers to/from the property. not walking distance anywhere. "close to the beach" means a 10 minute drive.

My wife, college-age daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the cottage on Portlock in July. Sunny was an incredible host. She was very responsive to any questions we had, and gave us some great tips for local hikes. She also delivered some fresh mangos from the tree in the yard, which were incredible. The unit was super clean, had great amenities, and was very quiet and comfortable for our stay. We would certainly stay here again, and would recommend it to others!

Wonderful Hawaiian Stay
My wife, college-age daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the cottage on Portlock in July. Sunny was an incredible host. She was very responsive to any questions we had, and gave us some great tips for local hikes. She also delivered some fresh mangos from the tree in the yard, which were incredible. The unit was super clean, had great amenities, and was very quiet and comfortable for our stay. We would certainly stay here again, and would recommend it to others!

Perfect property in a great location!
This property was everything we were looking for. I didn’t want to stay in Waikiki, but wanted to be close to things to do and see. This had it all! Short walk to beautiful ocean views and landmark “China walls“, quick drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Parking on the street outside the house was so easy and nice. We had our 4 month baby with us and a pack and play was set up and ready to go when we got there. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was great. Having your own washer/dryer was clutch. We highly recommend this property!

The facility - room, bed, shower, TV (great to have Direct TV with DVR), kitchen - all excellent. The dryer in the washer-dryer unit was difficult to use. it did not dry the clothing even if it ran for more than an hour.
The VRBO manager was reluctant to provide more that two bath towels and bedding for the pull out sofa because "you were signed up as two people and if I must bring more towels and bedding I must charge you for more that two occupants." HMMM - I've never stayed in a facility that denied a request of this nature. Eventually, we received the towels and sheets (without a charge) but no additional blanket. I guess that would have been an additional fee!!!!

This was one of the best rental properties we have been to in terms of amenities — well stocked kitchen, iPad, beach stuff etc. Very clean and the owner was very responsive.

Perfect Hawaiian Getaway!!
This property is absolutely perfect!!!! Alon and Inbar are beyond accommodating and have made sure to provide anything and everything you need!! The location is also absolutely perfect!!! Lots of food, hiking and sites with a 5 min car ride!! We couldn’t have loved our stay more than we did!!

Quiet Place for Wonderful Rest
My wife and I spent 5 days in this very restful and private cottage. Everything was as the host described and their continued care and interest for us was so appreciated. Alon kept in touch to make sure we had all we needed but was never invasive toward our privacy. The cottage was a nice size with so many features I don’t think we we experienced them all. This is a great hideaway with so much to do from great food, long drives, beautiful beaches and so much more. Returning each night to our private, peaceful, and personal cottage was just so wonderful. No noise, busy parking lots or sketchy neighbors. Highly recommended.

Spotless well-situated unit - Looks just like the pictures
The unit was spotless and well-appointed. We have never been in a rental this clean and well maintained. It is just like the pictures and the reviews. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, convenient to Honolulu and all it has to offer and to many gorgeous beaches and wonderful hikes - Hanauma Bay, Lanikai, Kailua, Makapuʻu Point..the list goes on. Bonus points for a food truck with hot malasadas and no line, just five minutes away!

Very clean, modern well located property near Hanauma Bay Marine Reserve in the Portlock/Hawaii Kai neighborhood. Beach access and trails nearby. Halfway between Honolulu and Kailua. Very helpful hosts.

Clean, spacious, room tastefully appointed. It was private and quiet. A small uncrowded beach was in walking distance. Shopping and restaurants were close.

Fabulous place, even better hosts!
Alon and Inbar are the quintessential hosts. They are always available and responsive, but absent unless needed. Their place is elegant, clean, private, and close to the beach. Thank you for such a peaceful retreat!

very nice quiet neighborhood, felt like home
very clean, comfortable place to spend a week to get away from it all. Convenient to good restaurants and a good base for scenic drives. All the convinces of home, although the laundry washer / dryer controls were confusing. The hosts were very accommodating and responded immediately to any questions or needs. Would stay there again if the opportunity arose.

AAAA-mazing!
This was one by far the best rental place my wife and I have ever stayed in. This cute and cozy cottage had everything we needed - and I mean everything. From a/c to sunblock (plus other beach essentials like boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, umbrella), Alon had it all to ensure we had a comfortable stay. They even gifted us 2 Hawaiian sarongs which my wife immediately wore. The cottage is updated, clean, and the floor plan is perfect - super open concept. My wife and I had all the space we needed. The neighborhood is great, too. Super quiet & clean & free from all the madness that has become Waikiki. The cottage is a short drive to local shopping centers where you can eat at local restaurants. There's even access to the water a short walking distance away. We'd DEFINITELY recommend staying here and would love to rent again on our next Oahu trip. Mahalo!

Clean and well maintained. The perfect place!
My aunty stayed at this property during her stay in Honolulu. The layout of the room is perfect and just the right size. So much focus on detail and it felt so comfortable, just like being at home. The owners Alon and Inbar are amazing host and always made sure my aunty was comfortable or if she needed anything! This property is the best one of the east side!
