About this house rental
Nestled in Medicine Park, this charming house for $269 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. The Bunkhouse Lodge is a luxurious retreat for couples and families alike. With its eclectic mix of all things 'cowboy', this lodge is like no other accommodations in Medicine Park! From the ample wrap-around veranda you can see Mt. Scott rising nearly 2,500 ft off the prairie floor. The drive to the top of this piece of granite is one of the best scenic views in all of Oklahoma. Behind Mt. Scott, you will find America's first wildlife preserve named the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge. Bicycles, kayaks, motorcycles, and hiking await your discovery on sixty-four thousand acres. You are sure to be impressed with the scenic vistas and historic sites. There are rock formations larger than a small city in this place. You could start the day with a fly rod and a largemouth bass, hike to a natural bridge by noon and end the day with a steak at the Old Plantation restaurant in Medicine Park. If you like watersports we have the famed, granite bottom, blue water Lake Lawtonka, just at the foot of the mountains. You would have to drive eight hours west to see anything like this. The Bunkhouse was located on an unnamed road, but not anymore. It is now on 'Bunkhouse Road' with an official Comanche County street sign as verification. Just behind us are three blue-eyed Gypsy Vanner horses that make their him on two adjacent pastures of the Windsong Ranch and directly behind them are a herd of alpaca. Eclectic would describe this lodging but it reflects the multi facets of Southwest Oklahoma on a year round basis. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do! We love the bunkhouse! Our group had another great visit there. The only thing we have trouble with at this house is comfortable seating. We did enjoy the new recliner but wish the chairs around the table were more comfortable. We spend a lot of time around the table playing games and visiting. They also wanted me to let the owner know the couch has seen better days. But we absolutely LOVE the porch and
Yard. The view is incredible! Thanks for another great time!

Our little family loved "The Bunkhouse." It was in a beautiful location outside of Medicine Park. With beautiful mountain views of the Wichita mountains we had quick access to all of the adventures of Medicine Park. The cabin was nice and clean decorated in a western bunkhouse decor. We enjoyed the wildlife refuge, the aquarium, downtown Medicine Park and the kids loved swimming in Lake Lawtonka. We also enjoyed the beautiful wrap around porch late in the evenings. Great place to stay for awesome family time and we will definitely b back. Thank you so much for sharing "The Bunkhouse" with our family. Loved every minute of our short weekend visit.

While decidedly out of town, this property was just minutes away from everything! We truly enjoyed our evenings on the wrap-around porch, cooking in the spacious kitchen, and the beautiful views that surrounded us and nature that greeted us. We were delighted to have access to the washer and dryer; arriving home without suitcases full of laundry was a DREAM! The host was incredibly responsive to our questions and (minor) concerns. The beds were quite comfortable and the location quiet. Must see things nearby: hiking trails around Lake Lawtonka, historic Medicine Park, and the Comanchee Cultural Center. Lake Lawtonka's public beach access is quite rocky and we recommend water shoes.

This property was perfect for Family Day with my soldier. Less than 10 minutes from base and easy drive. The property was very clean, cozy and felt like home. We were able to spend the full day with our soldier in a very comfortable setting and cook his requested meals. This was SO much better then hanging out in a hotel room for the day. Love love love!

I rented this mini- ranch called "The Bunkhouse" for our familys stay for my Grandsons Army Graduation and Family Day. Since it was about13+ hour drive one-way from alabama We all decided to make it a vacation. My daughter Summer & I work in retail so we really needed a vacation. Everything at the "Bunkhouse Ranch Retreat" as our family calls it was above and beyond our expectations. Also Brannon is a great host. You can call him anytime for any questions. We saw horses and cows and longhorns coming up the Bunkhouse Drive. Just a 7 minute drive from Fort Sill for Family Day. We picked my Grandson up and brought him back to the Bunkhouse Ranch for the Day, up till evening. He loved it as well. Medicine Park Village(With Swimming) is only 4 minutes away and also beautiful Lake Lawtonka Beach is about 3 minutes away. We really enjoyed playing cards at night on the porch table. There's a great evening/night time breeze on the porch. The surrounding Wichita Mountains are breathing in beauty. Not kidding. Our family made some fantastic memories here. We really didn't want to leave and go home. We all wished we had at least another weeks stay . Everything is furnished. All you have to bring is yourself and your groceries. Also a Target and Walmart is close by in Lawton Oklahoma. I totally rate this a 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Sonya Sawyer & Summer White & Family.

Perfect family cabin!
My family had a wonderful time at the Bunkhouse, my 3 and 6 year old loved petting the neighbor horses and donkeys, plenty of space for kids to safely run around and the wrap around porch is wonderful for catching sunrises and sunsets, every view around the cabin is so pretty. The cabin was very clean and truly felt like home while we stayed. The property is secluded yet very close drive to all the things to do and see around Medicine Park! We highly recommend the wildlife refuge, Holy City, and Small Mountain Street Tacos had the best tacos we have ever had!! We highly recommend the Bunkhouse for a relaxing family getaway!

Everything about this property was excellent! Accommodations were clean and comfortable as well as have very cute decor. We loved the huge veranda with outdoor speakers! The location was great, being out on some property giving us our privacy while still being a very short drive to all of the attractions in the area. We have recommended it to several friends and will definitely be back ourselves!!

What a clean and beautiful property. It feels like you're in New Mexico with beautiful panoramic views on a quiet, peaceful plot of land with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It certainly feels like you're farther that 4 miles from town.

What a clean and beautiful property. It feels like you're in New Mexico with beautiful panoramic views on a quiet, peaceful plot of land with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It certainly feels like you're farther that 4 miles from town.
The property was clean and well laid out.

Excellent place to stay. It's out of town, but not isolated. Very clean. Lawn if very well kept. Everything you need is there. No need to bring pots, pans, plates, sheets, towels, etc. Nice grill, fire pit and porch. We'll book it again if we're ever in the neighborhood.
