Located in New Braunfels, this charming house for $600 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This VRBO listing is for the rental of all 3 of these units. Stadt Platz is located in the heart of the New Braunfels Historic District on a large lot purchased from the German Immigration Company in 1848. Stadt Haus is at the street side of the lot and Spiel Haus is in the back of the property along with the bunk. Both Stadt Haus and Spiel Haus have recently been restored to original styles, but they also offer our guests modern conveniences and comfort. The house, cottage and bunk may sleeps a total of (18 people). Stadt Haus (Circa 1890s) has two bedrooms, one large bathroom with antique bath tub, living room, and kitchen with dining area. The old growth pine floors and high ceilings provide a very warm atmosphere. There are stained glass transoms, beveled windows, and a huge circular stained glass window in the bathroom. Swing or rock on our front or back porchs. There are barbecue-pits and picnic tables for each house shaded by our huge pecan and crepemurtel trees. Spiel Haus (cottage) is a unique cottage that was constructed in the 1980s from vintage materials taken from an original Falkwerk house in the area. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and a loft bedroom with a queen bed. Under the loft is the dining area with a complete kitchenette. The living area is separated from the kitchenette by the stairwell to the loft. This cozy area is furnished with a sofa sleeper and TV and wireless internet. Bunk is next to Spiel Haus (cottage) and has the 2 beds, a queen and a full size bed. Bunk serves as the extra bedroom, has no kitchen or bathroom. Spiel Haus is about 10ft away to use the bathroom. The grounds are privacy fenced and landscaped to offer our guests natural beauty and comfort. Outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Stadt Platz is a half block from the famous plaza and across the street from the original Market Platz of New Braunfels. You can walk two blocks to the Comal River & Tube Chute, 3 blocks to Schlitterbahn, or restaurants, bars, and shops in downtown New Braunfels. The Float In, Rockin R River Rides or Felger's Tube Rentals can pick you up at our front door and take you to Float the Comal River, you must contact a river outfitter to schedule a time and pricing. Great location! Walking distance to a bakery, ice cream, coffee shop and restaurants. Centrally located to everything we drove to, as well. Lots of room out back where we hung out most of the time, it was perfect. The property is old and historic, which we appreciate.

The location of this property is perfect if you plan to float the river or visit Schlitterbahn!!! The back yard area was perfect for our girl, Irie - she loved exploring all parts of the yard. Parking was great and we loved that there were several areas to just sit and relax outside - the party lights strung from the trees were beautiful at night. The boys enjoyed the outdoor shower, and I loved the stained-glass window in the bathroom of the main house. The houses stayed cool, had beautiful architectural features, and comfortably fit all 11 of us. The houses were very clean & inviting. My only suggestion is that the bunk house & main house need a little TLC. The bunk house's door does not seal all the way and the tub/shower combo in the main house did leak a bit when draining - not a big deal, we just dried the floor when finished each day. Lotion, soap, trash bags, shampoo/conditioner, dishes, kitchen utensils were all provided. The fridges worked well and the microwave in the main house is brand new. We did not use the ovens/stoves, we did not want to cook on vacation. The cottage out back was pretty much perfect - furniture was very comfortable. Our host, Tom, allowed us to check in 30 minutes early which was so appreciated as we had a very long drive, and it was a hot, humid day. There is a bakery pretty much right behind the house and a coffee shop right around the corner - all within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay but the condition of some of the house wasn’t great. The bath tub in the main house wobbled and felt very unsafe to stand in. Overall we enjoyed our stay but for the price wish some things like the bath were fixed/maintained better.

We had a girl’s weekend in New Braunfels with 12 women and this was a great property for our stay! We were able to walk everywhere - restaurants, bars, shops, the river! Everything was so close and easy to get to. The owner and property manager were very easy to get in touch with and super helpful. I would highly recommend this place if you have a larger group!

Be sure to be careful, with small children, lots of nice breakables in the big house! The location could not have been better as far as shopping, eating, sightseeing, Scclitterbaun and floating the Comal! We cooked out a lot and loved the HEB grocery!

Great location. Bathroom situation is tricky, one of the bathrooms is in a bedroom. Found it difficult to accommodate 12 adults. We ended up getting a couple of hotel rooms to make it work better for our needs.

The three houses were exactly what we were looking for our group's trip to New Braunfels for Wurstfest. Incredible location and walking distance to everything. Great communication with the property manager and very accommodating. Would definitely return!

This is a great property with tons of charm and a superb location. It was great to have separate spaces for 3 families and the shared courtyard for the kids to play safely. Very close to the river drop in and many other amenities.

Great stay, Tom was very well to communicate with and accommodating! Everything was great, blueprints are little misleading with outdoor area (or my expectations might have been little higher) being as large as described, but still a great time! Front house on property is little squeaky, no “sneaking” around there at night! Back two house were cold and awesome! Honestly think we might make this a yearly thing here!

The Stadt Haus and the Spiel Haus were the best solution for being close to family during the holidays, but not too close. The outdoor area was perfect for us: the men built a fire in the chimenea and hung out while the women did the cooking. Only drawback was the microwave was not working in the Stadt Haus. The dogs even had fun checking out the new smells in the yard.
