About this condo rental
Located in New Braunfels, this attractive condo for $199 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Come stay at our luxury condo, on the Guadalupe River.Relax on your back porch listening to the waterfall. Just steps from the back porch enjoy the pool, hot tub, and BBQ pits . We are right next door to Rockin R River rides pick up and drop off location, Walking distance to Schliterbahn water park. We are also close to downtown and Gruene historic district. And only about 45 minutes from Austin and San Antonio. San Marcos outlet malls are only about 15 miles. Our 2 bedrooms, 2 bath condo is located on the first floor, with one of the swimming pools and hut tubs right at the back patio. Condo sleeps 7 with a king size bed and a twin futon in the master, two twins in the second bedroom, and a full size, pull-out couch. Kitchen has all the utensils you will need, there are grills on the lush lawn and pool deck. Come relax on the river. Ask about our monthly rates.

We enjoyed our stay, the condo having the pool right off the balcony is a huge plus. Great owner that was very accommodating.

Our family of 4 stayed at this condo for a weekend trip to Schlitterbahn. It was literally right down the road from the parking lot and 5 minutes from the downtown restaurants.
PROS:
- Location!
- Very spacious rooms, especially the master bedroom.
- Super comfortable master bed (it was so comfortable, we bought an exact pillow topper for our own bed when we came home!)
- Great washer and dryer unit to take care of wet clothes
- The patio literally opens up to the community pool and spa. This is great if you plan on using them, but be sure to keep the blinds closed so other people in the pool can't spy on you.
CONS:
- Only 1 set of shampoo & conditioner. Be sure you bring your own if your party plans to use both bathrooms
- Several dishes were chipped and need replacing (Already discussed with property manager)
- If you plan to cook, bring your own non-stick pan. Cookware is supplied, but none are non-stick.
- The furniture was somewhat worn and mismatched. Most looked to be from IKEA. The master bedroom dresser drawer had a broken piece that poked out every time the drawer was opened (already alerted the property owner).
Overall, it was a great place to sleep and start off the day with a great breakfast before tubing. The place is centrally located to all the fun activities New Braunfels has to offer. Thank you for letting us stay at your place!

My grandsons really enjoyed the river being behind the property and it was so close to Schlitterbahn (even though we decided not to go) the Tube Chute and Prince Solms Park, which we did enjoy. The pool at the front of the property was really small but the one down by the river was good size. There were 2 hot tubs at each pool which was nice. I would stay there again!

My family and I stayed here from 7/20-7/24 to explore and enjoy New Braunfels as a last minute summer get away. The advertisement for the condo stated it was an upscale condo for the area. I will not pick the place apart but the condo needs some updating and deep cleaning. There was pet hair everywhere. The master bedroom is huge but only has 1 A/C vent so the room stays very warm even with the black out curtains completely closed. The secondary bedroom has 2 twin beds that would be perfect for little kids but not big teens/young adults. The condo has its own patio area that is nice and big that leads to the condo pool and hot tubs. The condo is perfectly located on the Guadalupe River and very close to Gruene and Schlitterbahn. With a little more TLC this condo could be perfect!

Directions were Spot on Plenty of Secured Parking. We Stayed on the 1st Floor so Easy Accessibility to pool That Requires a pool Pass so as to not open to public Fenced in Plenty of Beach Chairs and Bar b que pits. The river is in walking Distance. Restaurants and other places within A 5 MIile distance. The Room was bigger then we Thought and Fully Stocked Kitchen. Plenty of Everything inside the Condo. Definitely Recommend and Will Stay there Again

Wonderful complex with nice pools and great river access. This condo had one of the pools right out the back patio along with grills to cook out. The river access was great. Will definitely be back.

We had a fabulous weekend here. Clean, great location and ground level- poolside. Master ceiling fan was a bit noisy but we just kept it off. Pool and hot tubs were clean and temps were appropriate. Guests (from other units) were respectful too. Appreciated the night time security on property too. Location is ideal for Greune,NB, tubing, shopping and dining. Will return in future.

Enjoyed our stay. Lower level, pool outside, short walk to the river.
Condo was well equipped, kitchen and bathrooms and floats too. The only minus, one of the twin beds was very squeaky everytime you rolled over. And personally for me, not crazy about upholstered couches in a rental. Prefer to be able to wipe them down. Should have looked at pictures more closely.
Otherwise had a good time.

The two twin beds in small room are very hard as an adult not too comfortable even with the added cushions. Don’t look under the sheets as the cushioning is gross. We stripped our beds when we left. YIKES Also if you do not like having people running around above you this is not the place. Lots of noisy kids and parents the whole 3 day we stayed. After 11:00 PM it did quite down but little ones up and running at 5:00AM. Nothing the property manager can control but annoying.
Overall it was a great stay and location to visit the river floating, Gruene, shopping, food are all close!

Our family has stayed at several different VRBOs at the Water Wheel condos. We have family that lives on the same street, so the location is very convenient for holidays. This home really needs some care and attention. The location is perfect for families looking to get away and enjoy the hill country. However, pillows were dirty and very old - to the point that we went to Target and purchased new ones. The kitchen dishes and utensils seemed dirty, mismatched and very old, so we washed what few we used and thankfully did not need to cook there. The furniture in the living area is dated and uncomfortable. The primary bathroom really needs updated. At minimum it should have a proper shower curtain that keeps the water in the tub. The shower head barely puts out enough water due to the calcium build up. Could be a lovely place to stay, but really needs a bit of investment to make it a comfortable place for families to stay.

Great location and roomy place for girls weekend. Love the access to pool and hot tub right outside patio. Close to downtown for shopping and dinner and tubing!!

Great location to pool & town
Property is on the first floor and the patio has access and a view of the pool. We stayed with our grandkids and the pool location was perfect and there were other kids for them to play with. The beds were comfortable and they had shampoo samples which came in handy since I forgot my own. I made meals in the kitchen and all the pans and utensils needed were available. We enjoyed coffee nearby in New Braunfels. The water park is also located down the street. We would’ve liked to have stayed longer and we’ll keep this property in mind for our next stay. Also, the grandkids enjoyed seeing the deer in the yards across the street in the evenings.

I had to buy a coffee maker that first morning , the one there was not working. The pool and hot tub need to be cleaned. And you might want to bring your own pillows!

Pros: good location, roomy, well supplied, clean, nice patio
Cons: needs refreshing with a good interior paint job,

Condo is nicely furnished and equipped with everything you need. Ground floor, literally 20 feet from hot tub and pool. Grounds are clean and safe. Perfect location, on the river. Tracy was superb, answering email questions instantly. 5 stars.

Great place!
The condo was very clean and easy to get into. The pool and hot tub were literally right out the back door. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need. The owner of the unit was always very prompt in returning my emails and was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
