We enjoyed our experience in Kauai. Always beautiful. Brandon, the property manager, was very helpful bringing ice and a cooler when the fridge broke. Nice condo but could use a deep clean. Loved the proximity to the Shipwrecks beach and other Kauai attractions.

Wonderfully equipped kitchen! Made all the difference to be able to cook meals of any sort. Salt,pepper and other spices left from previous guests very helpful. Plenty of beach supplies too(snorkels, coolers, sand toys, etc). Lovely home away from home. Stayed in July 2023. Very hot and humid weather and we made do without air conditioning. Lots of fans and ocean breeze. Great location for wonderful walks. Plenty of sea life to view in the evenings. I look back on this rental with nothing but good feelings. Thanks Connie and John for the memories.

Stayed in Poipu for a week in a great condo. Used the kitchen every day, clean and comfortable for all of us (my family). Would recommend this property to anyone.

Nice setting: unit was well-equipped. Poipu beach was very nice. This place was very convenient to restaurants and shopping.

Great place to stay. Close to everything that you need on vacation (pool, bbq, ocean, beach, hiking trail). Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. The condo has everything that you need (beach chair, umbrella, cooler, beach towel, scuba mask, toys...).

This condo has everything we asked for and more. It might not have the idealistic views of ocean or the mountains but the area is still beautiful and close to Poipu beach and the surrounding area. Our condo is within walking distance to the beach and the size of the room is big enough for our family of 3 adults and 1 teenager. We had couple of issues and contacted the owners. We got the helpful responses back fairly fast and the issues were solved. Very pleased with the condo and the owners. Would come back and stay here again (if the price hasn’t gone up too drastically) and recommend strongly to anyone considering getting a vrbo condo in the Poipu vicinity.

The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Short walk to the beach. We could see part of the beach from the lanai. It is located in an area that makes it easy to get to pretty much anything. We had great food at Da Crack, Puka Dog, Dole Whip, shave ice at Uncles. I recommend doing a sunset cruise on Captain Andy's catamaran. The crew was great, food was outstanding so the price was worth it. Thanks for a great 10 days.

A nice 2 bdrm condo on 2nd flr in great location in Poipu. Highly recommend and will stay here again next time I come back.

Everything was great. The place is in a quiet area, but close to resorts, restaurants and beaches. Large enough for 6 people comfortably.

Wonderful stay! Everything provided for a great day at the beach(cooler, snorkel, umbrella, beach towels & chairs) & prepare a home cooked meal. Steps away from gorgeous grounds of Grand Hyatt, shipwreck beach & heritage trail. Comfortable beds! —want to come back!

VERY NICE

This condo was perfect for all our needs. The location is ideal, just a short walk from Shipwreck Beach, where my wife and I got married during our stay! The amenities were plentiful and generous to ensure we had everything to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The only issues were negligible for us but need repair by the hosts at some point: the dining room light switch didn't work and there was some small dining room wall damage, presumably left by a previous guest. We were absolutely comfortable staying here and would definitely wish to return to this condo if we're to visit Kauai again!

We would definitely stay at this place again. Pardon the random musings below, but I wanted to leave all the details. Located between the Grand Hyatt and Hilton Vacation Club but roughly 1/5th the price of the Hyatt. The grounds are well maintained and open to the ocean, unlike the Hilton Vacation Club. We enjoyed the pool under the stars and palm trees every night. We used the tennis courts. There’s numerous BBQs on the grounds that are available if you desire. This part of Poipu is better than the main drag as its quieter with less sun-burned dodo birds that don’t understand why you shouldn’t walk on the coral or take a selfie with a turtle :) The beach in front of the Hyatt is very rough, so watch your little ones. The beaches around the bend at Poipu are great for snorkelling. At this complex, Poipu Sands, you can walk on the grounds at the adjacent Grand Hyatt and sneak in a Luau performance without paying for it ;) This VRBO property has been mostly updated, and most guests will be impressed with the master bathroom. The main floor bathroom is updated but the shower in that bathroom is poorly lit and the facets are difficult to use. The kitchen is new, but some of the cupboard doors need hinges that allow them to open around appliances. Loved the giant electric griddle which we used for a batch of pancakes. We were not a fan of the shag carpet. Always feels like you are walking on other people’s sweat and skin flakes. The local artwork throughout the condo was a nice touch and made the place quite attractive. Some of the windows are stuck open, which is a consideration given our last comment below. The cleaning staff doesn’t seem to reset the bird crap, especially on the master bedroom balcony. Every balcony in Kauai has bird crap on it, and you can see people cleaning the railings all over the island, so don’t think this is limited to just this place. A couple of negatives that likely wouldn’t deter us in the future: the fan in the fridge freezer was worn out and we often had to turn off the fridge to get rid of the noise. The property owner offered to get someone in to look at it, but we just worked around it. Negative number 2: there’s a small sewage treatment facility 100 meters away, adjacent to the parking lot. You often gets wafts of farts if you leave the front door open for the breeze. The nearest building at Grand Hyatt often gets a whiff as well. It all depends on the direction of the wind.

Property is as advertised. Large living room, great deck areas with plenty of seating. Lower bedroom was spacious and main floor bath was great for the kids. Master bedroom (upper) was roomy with vaulted ceilings and a private deck. Master bath was excellent as well, and liked the louvered windows to the outside. Location is outstanding, with walk/jog paths within easy access. Quick walk to Shipwreck beach, the Grand Hyatt/Tidepools and beautiful sunrises. 10/10 will book again.

Poipu Sand is private and right by the water. Love the trail along the beach. The condo is spacious and kept very clean inside. Connie and John responded quickly to all my inquiries. Overall a wonderful stay.

We are a family of 4 adults. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the condo and the fully equipped kitchen as we like to cook. The location is close to everything in Poipu and we had lots of fun playing Pickle Ball on the tennis court. Thanks for the Pickle Ball lines.

John and Connie's condo is a perfect getaway. We stayed with our two teen daughters who appreciated having their own twin bed and bathroom. The location is right next to the Grand Hyatt and walking distance to Shipwreck beach and is a perfect location to explore the whole island. The condo is well supplied and I can't think of a single thing we needed that wasn't already on hand. Next time we go to Kauai we will for sure try and stay at their condo again. A few points that I see others asking in the reviews: - no A/C. We never felt the need for it. There's a lovely cross breeze and ceiling fans that keeps every room comfortable.. - the unit includes a few boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella plus a couple of coolers - it's part of a nice complex with well kept grounds and maintained swimming pool. Overall, an excellent spot that I'd recommend. .

The condo was just as described. The location was great and nearby to trails, several beaches and shopping. We were exceptionally surprised at the amount of beach items (chairs, boards, umbrellas, etc) the hosts provided. Coolers AND ice packs made day trips easy and fun. We contacted the hosts regarding a minor issue and they responded very quickly. Our only negative was that the lighting on the lani was too low to be able to eat or play cards after dark, but otherwise we loved our time at the condo.

John & Connie's condo was well maintained, spacious, nicely decorated, and in a great location. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for making meals. We loved relaxing on the lanai each morning, and listening to the surf in the distance each night. John and Connie were very responsive to any questions we had. We had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend their condo.

Ocean view, good location, great stay.

The property was exactly as described and perfect for our needs. The check in is super easy so you get to start enjoying the place immediately. Parking was never an issue. As soon as you get there you are welcomed by the smell of plumeria. The condo itself was large enough that our party of 4 never felt crowded. We were in the upstairs bedroom and it was huge with it's own lanai, walk-in shower and plenty of counter and closet space. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking so you can enjoy every meal on the large dinner table on the downstairs lanai. We didn't even use the indoor dining room, but it's there if you need it. There's everything you need for the beach, including coolers which we used on our day trips to Waimea and Hanalei. I was extremely happy with the place and would recommend to anyone except those who cannot do stairs (which thankfully isn't me yet!)

My group and I were very impressed with John & Connie's property -- incredible location, just a short walk to both Shipwreck and Poipu Beach and plenty of space. We'd love to return and stay here again very, very soon.

We’ve been coming here to Poipu Sands for many years. We really enjoyed our week at #426. It is located very close to the Grand Hyatt, which we enjoy going to for drinks, dinner etc. The condo was fully stocked with all the necessary amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. Everything was clean and well organized when we arrived. Connie and John were super accommodating throughout this whole process. We’ll definitely try and book this place again.

We loved our stay at John and Connie’s. So much space! Lovely lanai’s. We have a one year old and she had a blast exploring the space and especially climbing the huge staircase. It was just the three of us but we easily could have had another family stay with us. Easy to find and great location!

Superbe propriété très grande et vraiment bien équipée! L’essentiel pour le snorkling, boogie board, parasols, tout y était! Nous avons laissé notre parasol à la propriété pour que d’autres puissent en profiter! Le condo est vraiment plus grand que sur les photos, une belle surprise vraiment! La piscine est super belle aussi. Nous sommes allés visiter le Hyatt qui est à deux minutes de marche du condo et c’est superbe aussi! La plage à distance de marche (shipwreck beach) n’était pas un bon choix, trop venteux et grosses vagues durant notre séjour. Par contre la plage publique de Poipu était magnifique (3-4 min de voiture), on a même vu des monk seas au repos sur la plage! Le meilleur endroit voté par les membres de notre famille de 4! Bon endroit pour faire un treck dans le canyon.

We arrived a lot later than anticipated, and the lockbox enabled us to get in quickly without having to go through someone to do so. The place has a nice setup with a living room, dinning room, and outside deck, with an upstairs master bedroom that also has a deck off it. The bathroom shower was very nice and nice bathroom area in general. Perfect place for 4 people to stay. Beach access a short walk down the path. You’re also within a 5 minute drive to most restaurants, so good location.
