About this house rental
The Parsonage, built in 1880, is a meticulously maintained stately historic home in the heart of all the action in Michigan City’s Arts District. Located just blocks from restaurants, bars, breweries and shopping the property makes for a fun gathering year round. The beaches of Michigan City are within walking distance at just under a mile and there is also ample beach parking. There is a Starbucks across the street in the Outlet and Lakeshore Coffee is a block away. The Michigan City Saturday Farmers Market runs May thru October and is located two blocks away at 8th and Washington. The Blue Chip Casino, library and zoo are less than a mile away. The sweeping 12 foot ceilings, beautiful workmanship and charm of a time gone by greet you as soon as you enter and meet the grand staircase. The home is impressive and has wonderful common rooms for accommodating fun gatherings while enjoying a large HD Smart TV and Free WIFI. There is a charming porch off the Main Floor that is a fantastic spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a late night glass of wine. The Parsonage sleeps maximum of 8 has four bedrooms, one on the main floor and three upstairs. Each bedroom has its own private bath including large jacuzzi bathtubs. The upstairs master has the original library with another large screen TV. A toy closet with classic toys and children’s books helps to entertain our younger guests. The fully appointed kitchen, formal dining room and stunning architecture along with luxury linens make The Parsonage a settings for an unforgettable travel experience.

This Historic Parsonage Home is a beautiful old home, with hardwood floors, a lovely staircase and tastefully decorated! Katie and Joe were great hosts, even leaving us pastries for breakfast, much appreciated! especially with our late arrival. We blew a fuse Sunday morning - not unusual for an old historic home - and Joe was there within minutes to fix it. I would highly recommend the Historical Home for anyone wanting to stay in the Indiana Dunes area, just on the edge of the National Park and an easy drive to gorgeous hiking areas and several beaches. The home was just down the block from an outlet shopping area, and a few blocks walk to the Michigan City Beach. Also close to some quaint restaurants, and shops. We loved having 4 bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom, and 5 separate beds with none being bunkbeds. Perfect for our 5 girlfriends' getaway! Best part of the house was the enclosed sunroom, perfect for enjoying morning breakfast.

The house was indeed a wonderfully interesting place and so clean! The hostess was delightful in communication and very helpful. I would indeed stay here again!

Home was fantastic! It was perfect for our girls trip. Location was great and easily walkable to the outlet mall, farmers market, and several restaurants/coffee shops. We loved our stay!
