About this house rental

Situated in Holden Beach, this attractive house for $169 per night is a great option for your next break. Our home is 3 BR/2B beach cottage that is a block from the beach. We have private beach access because we own property on the island. There are two accesses. Walk two blocks and you are touching your toes in the sand of Holden Beach. The beach is never crowded, even during holidays. Our home is 4/10th of a mile from all the main restaurants, a basketball court, and public park facilities. The Town of Holden Beach is now charging a parking fee for all public parking spaces. Stay at our house and you don't need to pay for parking. It is less than half a mile walk to the restaurants, pickleball/tennis courts and ice cream shops. We updated the kitchen with new countertops, stove, built-in-microwave, and dishwasher. The refrigerator is very spacious. We have a washer and dryer in the kitchen for your use. The kitchen/living/dining are a large open space that is great for families to be together. There is a large TV with FOCUS cable and internet is provided. The dining area has a table and six chairs. There is also a bar in the kitchen that seats 4 more. The house has been painted recently inside and out. The space under the house can be used for parking or outdoor activities. There is plenty of parking in front of the house and underneath. There is also a new outdoor shower under the house for our guests to use. All the bedrooms have new queen size beds. The living room and all bedrooms have Roku TVs, with wireless internet. There are three porches, two on the back on one on the front all with water views. Come sit on the porch and feel the breezes.

Great location and open floor plan was just what we needed. Kitchen was all that we needed. The only exception was the refrigerator and freezer was too full of owner’s food. We had lots of food for a Thanksgiving gathering and had to keep some in our coolers. No big problem. We have never had this issue at a VRBO property before. Also we found sand spurs in the carpet in the den.

Although I gave this property a 3 /5 on cleanliness, the owner communicated with me above and beyond to help resolve the issue. It was not the owner's fault but the previous renters. The owner even drove to the property to solve the problem. We were very grateful!

We had too many people in the other house we booked and need a place close by on Holden beach for the last couple days of our stay. Marsha was responsive and even allowed us to drop our things a little early. The home is lovingly maintained, and provided enough room for our three grown boys and for us. The water was nice and hot and the kitchen was very well equipped. Would stay here again.

Great location! Walking distance to restaurants. Home is located on a quiet back street with an easy and quick walk to the beach. We enjoyed relaxing on the decks. The home offered ample room for our family of 6 adults and the kitchen had everything we needed. The covered parking was great and we had a fun evening using the grill. We would definitely stay again.

We arrived about 30 minutes early as we live over 4 hours away and wanted to leave time for traffic. When we arrived we noticed the house was not cleaned which was not a big deal as we knew we were early so we left to get groceries and came back about 45 minutes later and the cleaners were in the process of cleaning. We didn't get into the house until around 4:20p or so as the cleaners were running behind. This was not a problem and we thanked the cleaners as they left. We had a nice stay and even decided to stay an extra day as everything was going so well. But a few weeks after our stay the homeowner is trying to charge us $100 because condiments somehow got thrown away from the fridge. We placed the condiments in a food lion bag and left them in the back of the fridge so we didn't mix what we purchased with what they had in the fridge. Regardless of how the condiments were thrown away sending a messaging complaining how we showed up a little early, accusing us of doing something we didn't do and then trying to charge us $100 for condiments that all together may be $10 is ridiculous and not professional in any way. We were planning on coming back in the future as we had a great time, but the experience after the visit has been horrible.

This is a simple beach house located very close to the private beach access. Not as big as other properties at this price point - but very clean and had a great time. The outdoor shower is awesome and beds are comfortable.

It was a great place within a 5 minute walk of private beach access! The beach was never crowded even on July3! Marsha was always helpful and answered all my questions very quickly no matter when I asked them. We would definitely recommend Marsha and her property for a great stay at Holden Beach!

The house was just like being at home. The location was great, short distance to the beach and the snack stores close to the bridge. The stay here was great and I would recommend it to anyone that was for a great place to spend their vacation!

My family and I were looking for a post graduation, relaxing experience and we could not have been more pleased with this house and host! Everything you need to have a wonderful beach experience is right there! Short walk to the beach and quick access to the mainland! So peaceful with a wonderful porch for rocking and drinking your coffee! We have already made future reservations

Property was nice and as advertised. We showed up about an hour before check-in to make sure we knew where the place was. Owner had said we could park there early to go out to beach. When we got there the place was still occupied, as we were leaving, someone came out and said they would be out in the next half hour. Just asked if we could drop some groceries in the fridge and person said not right now. So we left. Got a nasty message from owner saying she was not happy that we tried to check in early. We didn't even go to the door and were backing out when someone came out. Rubbed me the wrong way. Wont likely stay here again, but the place was nice.

The house is quite nice and close to the beach and restaurants. Beds were comfortable and had TVs in each bedroom. Very quiet area. We really enjoyed our stay. Marsha was a pleasure to work with and promptly answered all of my questions.
