Located on Devil's Backbone, just 6 miles from Downtown Wimberley, Ridge View Escape has an amazing 40 mile view that overlooks the Wimberley Valley! First Floor Bedroom 1 with king bed and attached full bathroom. second floor Bedroom 2- 1 King bed and private bath Bedroom 3- Queen Bed Uses detached full bathroom with bedroom 4 Bedroom 4- 1 Queen and 1 twin bed with trundle bed uses detached full bathroom with bedroom 3 3rd floor Bedroom 5 1 King bed with private full bath with shower and claw foot bathtub Main House- 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms Game room- 1 private king bedroom with full detached bathroom Amenities: Pool Hot Tub 50" 4K TV in living room with 200+ channels (some premium channels) and DVD player First floor bedroom and game room bedroom do not have a tv Large tv in Game room Newly renovated kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances . We had a great time, loved the character of the over 100yrs old house but with modern amenities. Also made great use of the pool, jacuzzi and especially the game room. But most of all the views are spectacular from all patios as well as most bedrooms. Had some small unwanted visitors in the house but got rid of them with broom and vacuum cleaner. This is normal in the hillcountry.

This place was awesome. Plenty of room for our party of 13. The pool and hot tub were so cool to enjoy on a hot day with one of the best views I’ve seen in central Texas. We wouldn’t look anywhere else if coming back to this area.

This property is awesome. It's great for families and large groups of friends. There is a lot to keep everyone entertained and the morning and evening views are a great way to start/end the day. Shiloh and the management are great people and super responsive.

The pictures do not do this house justice. Victorian but homey with a nice kitchen and bathrooms. The weather was cold so we couldn’t enjoy the backyard as much as we wished but the view was still awesome from inside.

I was looking for a large space with amenities, Ridge View Escape exceeded my expectations. My family and I loved our stay so much we're considering making it an annual stay here. The house and decor are beautiful, the amenities are awesome, and the view is stunning. Wonderful memories were made.

Great home. We were a party of 12 and were very comfortable. The house is very clean. The bathrooms are new.
The whole crew really enjoyed the swimming pool, the hot tub, and the fantastic game room.

The house was really cool for our kids. They have never been in a really old home before. The pool was really nice. And the location was great to get to the Lake, downtown Wimberly or to Gruene. The water tasted and smelled terrible, but we ate out a time or two and it was the same in those places, so it must just be the water there. The view is what it looks like on the pictures, fantastic! The bathroom downstairs is not convenient to the bedroom downstairs, that was not exactly accurate on the description. The house needs a good cleaning and the washing machine is a front load so it was really smelly. Other than that, this was a great place to stay for a few days with the family and a good location to whatever you are doing in the area.

1st Time Stay
Shiloh and the staff with Vacation Masters Properties were great. They accommodated our request for a 2:00 check-in even though they had eight other properties being checked into the same day. The view looking out at Devil's Backbone was beautiful at sunrise and sunset. Game room was a big hit with pool table, shuffle board, and poker table. Loved the pool. A good amount of comfortable lounge chairs were provided. Plenty of seating out by pool. House was built in 1905 so it's an amazing home. All bathrooms were updated. A/C's handled the heat quite well. We used the hot tub, gas grill and wood pit smoker. Charcoal and wood was provided. Overall, stay was a great experience for the family.

Apologies for this over due review of our stay in beautiful Wimberly. Our family came into town in order to attend a friend’s wedding in Dripping Springs. Upon arrival we found the home clean and ready for our stay. All were impressed by the interesting woodwork throughout the house and the beautiful view in the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates etc. We appreciated Shiloh’s quick response in replacing a coffee maker that refused to turn on as well as her availability to answer questions. The massive dining room table allowed all of us to sit and enjoy meals together. The main attraction however, was the backyard containing the beautiful pool and game room. An unexpected bonus was the large kiddie pool attached to the main pool. Many hours were spent swimming in the pools and playing shuffle board, pool and cards! The only challenge encountered was the efficiency of the a/c being able to cool all of the bedrooms..Due to the age of the home it wasn’t totally unexpected. We relocated some of the provided fans and ensured that curtains were closed to minimize the sun…All rested comfortably each night! We were thankful to have been able to spend time together as a family, enjoy a beautiful wedding and experience the beauty of Wimberly. We look forward to visiting again, soon.

The stairs in the house were a bit steep as expected with a historical home. Nothing that hindered us but we did take that into consideration when picking bedrooms.
Overall: It was a wonderful get away and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Grab a glass of your favorite beverage and enjoy the spectacular view from the back porch.
