The property location was unbelievable, steps away from the Kotel. Inside was beautiful with tons of space for a family of 6. We loved our stay here.

We paid $3,000 USD for a one week stay. There is nothing about this place anyone could like. It is a total disgrace. The owner Raphael is useless.

Where does one start. We arrived and we were welcomed with the last guests s--t in the toilet. The cave is three floors. A kitchen and bathroom on the first floor. A bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor and a bedroom and a bedroom and bathroom on the floor below that. When we arrived on Saturday Raphael told us the washer didn't work. Said it would be fixed on Sunday. Of course no one showed up the whole week. The first night we stayed on the middle floor in the bedroom. The stench of sewer is so bad it made both of us sick. I wrote Raphael on Sunday to do something on Whatsapp and he ignored my message. We barricaded the bedroom and bathroom doors with towels. However nothing could stop the smell. We spent the rest of the week in the basement on the lower floor. On Friday Raphael's Whatsapp mystically worked. When he needed us to help him. On Friday he messaged me on Whatsapp to bring prospective buyers to purchase this dump. The lady left in a minute with a scarf around her face. The man came up and asked us if the place stunk this bad all the time. We said nothing. It is none of our concern. Summary this place is a dump. I am going to o petition booking com to remove this rat hole from its website. I am also going to ask booking.com for a full refund of my money. By the way for $3,000 bucks you get no new towels, no cleaning service and you get to take your garbage to the public dumping ground. What a filthy disgusting place managed by a person who does nothing. A total joke.

This was our first time to Israel and we wanted to stay close to the sights in Jerusalem and this was perfect.

Excellent location, wonderful host, lovely and unique apartment.

The location was fantastic, everything was in walking distance but quiet in the street.

Although the owner was kind, several things could be improved. The main issue was that the property advertised on booking.com was highly misleading - when I booked, I was led to believe that this was for the 'whole of apartment', as stated on the page. I booked for 4 adults, and it was clear from the photos and information that there were two separate bedrooms. When we arrived however, the owner expected one of us to sleep on the sofa, the other on a very small pull out bed, and the remaining on the double bed - all in the same room. This seemed absurd to me and not what I had booked, therefore I took the second, vacant bedroom available. The owner let themselves into the property because an alarm went off during our stay and went into our individual rooms - I received a message saying that I should not be using this second bedroom but the sofa. They later agreed, seemingly out of generosity, to let us use this room since it had not been booked. I would have been really upset if I would have had to a) share the apartment with strangers when I thought I had booked it fully for my parents to be comfortable and b) share a sofa with my partner in the same room as my parents. Aside from that, the kitchen had no cooking stove (nor coffee machine), which was disappointing given that we had hoped to cook. A lot of the facilities were unclean, particularly the cutlery, plates, and the oven (which seems to have not been cleaned in months). Lastly, the laundry room (which is supervised by camera) was at our disposal however the washing machine and dryer do not work properly and leaked multiple times during our washes, as well as the alarm going off twice. The person that met my partner (who was the first to arrive) did not speak any English and therefore explained very little of how things worked in the apartment.
