The ONLY reason I did not give this a 5 star is very petty...my pet peeve no matter where we travel...the cloth shower curtains that are SO smelly...they either need to have plastic liners to keep them from getting wet or they need to be laundered, with bleach after every rental to prevent the mildew and smell. I washed them as soon as we arrived but it did not help much. There..my OCD rant is over 🙄 I wish I could have taken only 1/4 of a star off because...... Other than that petty detail...this house was perfect...SO much room and privacy for our party of 7 and the owners were very accommodating by converting the 2 twin bedrooms into king beds. In all honesty I could have slept on the living room sofa...so comfy! The kitchen was stocked well enough for 8 people (which, for me, translates to “there were plenty of wine glasses!”) I spent a lot of time coveting the beautiful dining room table and living room coffee table! The deck was huge with plenty of seating for dining and relaxing...and THOSE VIEWS ... and the BEACH...about a 20 minute walk down the red dirt road (maybe 10 or 15 if you are not old!) and worth every step..you can also drive if you prefer to get there in 2 minutes. This my husband’s and my 5th trip to the island and we admit this was, hands down, our favorite beach..very private, clean, amazing sunrise, walk forever, amazing sand bars to walk out to during lower tide, the red cliffs. So, to sum it up...I would SO reccommend this house for families with small children ( a room with a queen and a room with 2 twins and a full bath upstairs), teenage children (private “inlaw” suite on ground level with room with 2 twins, room with a game table and private den with tv, and bathroom with shower), and granny and grampa could have the master bedroom on the main floor. And quite honestly, if our 6th trip is just the 2 of us, I will hope this place will be available. Thank you for a beautiful, memorable vacation!

The house was very pretty and clean. It wasn't as close to the ocean as I thought it would be, but I didn't figure that our until after we had made the reservation. The lupine's were in bloom while I was there and they lined the road to the house. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances. One thing I wish they would of had was a fan for the upstairs bedrooms. It got pretty warm during the day and so the upstairs got hot.

We just returned from the most relaxing vacation at this incredible property. To begin with, the house is huge and has amazing views – the photos do not do it justice. The house itself is superbly done up and well-appointed. Panoramic views from the living room, comfortable bedrooms, several bathrooms, and so much space. The area is beyond peaceful, as all you can hear are the crickets and the waves crashing in the distance. Tranquil beaches with still more dramatic views are nearby, down the iconic red dirt roads. We had some great meals a short drive away (such as Broadway 45 in Kensington and the Sou’West Bar & Grill in New London). Services available nearby in Kensington, Summerside isn’t too far, and Charlottetown is about 45-50 minutes away. All in all, just a great experience and we would love to return. Highly recommended. We had 2 families with young children, along with grandparents - the home provided the perfect living room, kitchen and eating area, while providing each with their own floor for privacy if/when they wanted it. Whether taking advantage of nearby cycling, fishing, restaurants, Anne-of-G.G., or just playing on the nearby beach, it was a fantastic home base for our PEI vacation. It was a short 3 min drive down to the beach, or a 15-20 minute walk. The beach was perfect for kids and adults alike, while the yard and play structure were a great place for the kids while parents prepared meals, or just relaxed on the wrap around deck. Highly recommended. We will return..

The home is well furnished, clean, and plenty of privacy for three couples. Bright open concept with views of the rolling fields down to the water. Three sided porch providing shaded or sunny spots as needed. BBQ and porch furniture are great. Hot tub was nice. Walks to the ocean, biking right out the door. The scenery beautiful. Will pack more food next time as shopping is 15 to 30 minutes away. A small price to pay for this fabulous location. Would return again. Thanks.

We spent 1 week at this house and found it very spacious and comfortable. The beach area was beautiful and very secluded. We were disappointed to find out that it was not "a five minute walk down a country lane" and it was very difficult to find our way to the beach as all the lanes say "Private Lane". It was more like a 15-20 min walk or 5 min drive down a very rutted and hilly lane. You will need a vehicle if staying at this property. There is not too much close by but a lot of options within 20 - 60 minutes drive. We were also glad we did not need to use the basement as it was very musty smelling!

This place was wonderful. My inlaws, hubby, our two young kids (5 months and 3 years) and I spent a week here. The place had lots of space, lovely bathrooms, a wonderful kitchen with everything we needed and a great hot tub. It was in a great location as it was quiet, but still close to lovely beaches, fishing and the touristy Anne stuff. I went running on the beach close by most mornings (lovely) and we drove down to enjoy several days of kite flying and castle building. On the mornings/evenings that it rained, I enjoyed the great treadmill with a view out to the water. The only thing I would have liked is a bit more info in the cottage about the local area (they did put in the tourist guide books, but there was no local map showing the way to the beach or some of the owner's tips for restaurants, grocery shopping, etc). I'm sure this will probably be in place next season as I think this is a new rental.

The rental was as described online, very clean and comfortable. Any questions we had prior to the visit were addressed promptly. We visited Cavendish a few times and Charlottetown only once as it was an hour away. Very scenic area and the beach is beautiful. It was pretty windy during our visit so the surf was higher for most of the time. We looked for chemicals and testers for the hot tub to make sure it was at the correct ph level, however we couldn't find any so we did not use the hot tub. It is fortunate to find a nice rental that will allow pets. We find that when travelling, pet owners often times have to accept rentals/rooms that are a lower standard just because those are the designated areas for pets. We would recommend this property. The views from the home are wonderful.

My husband and I, our 8 month old baby and another couple stayed at this property for 5 nights as we visited PEI. All of us agree that we couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation rental while in PEI. By far the greatest feature of this home is the beyond phenomenal ocean view from nearly every single room in the house... from the kitchen, dining room, a couple bedrooms, living room the huge deck- you can see the ocean!! Beyond the perfect view of the ocean our favourite features of this property was the amazing hot tub (yes you can see the ocean from that too), the fire pit/place, the quiet neighbourhood, the BBQ & deck and the amazing beach near by (walking distance and way better and less busy than Cavendish) The home is in perfect condition, very comfortable and well stocked with quality items to make your stay easy and perfect! We have nothing but positive things to say about our vacation at this property. One day we hope to return!
