The property was just about perfect for our needs. We brought our skiff and used a close by canal/ neighborhood boat ramp to be able to conveniently dock it behind the house. SO wonderful to just hop in and head out to fish or snorkel at the reefs (awesome reefs only 15-20 minute boat ride). The neighborhood was very quiet with the nicest of neighbors who gave us local fishing advice. The area is extremely pet friendly and our two enjoyed their stay. We rode the shuttle from a nearby CVS to Key West when the mood arose. The shuttle took about an hour and a half. If we drove ourselves, it was maybe 45. Big Pine Key was laid back and peaceful. Previously, we have always stayed in Key West. Now, we will always look for a place in Big Pine on a canal. The property was as advertised and the manager Marie was always accessible and very pleasant to work with. We hope we will be able to return to this property. It definitely fit our needs.

The neighborhood is wonderful for taking walks and exploring. The location is great and the house was comfortable, The manager was very responsive when we reported an issue. When we arrived, the air conditioner fan was running non-stop. We reported it, and it was fixed promptly.

Located on Big Pine Key, we were near enough to visit Key West (40 min) and Marathon (30 min), but out of the hustle and bustle of the crowds. The house is the third house in from open water on a very clean and deep canal, in a friendly, quiet neighborhood. We did not use the boat lift, so can't comment. This house has been recently painted inside and out. It has cute, beachy themed decorations throughout. Dishes, appliances, towels and linens are what you would expect in a rental house. We used the kayaks and bicycles provided just about every day of our stay. Tips - if you want a PFD on the water, bring your own or buy them once you arrive, as there were none at the house. Also, we had to buy a lock since we rode the bikes to the store as well as in Key West. There is no upstairs, outdoor seating (deck). For a nice sunset view, you will walk to the end of the street (or kayak to the end of the canal) as we did several times. If you play pickleball, there is a very active group right on the island and within biking distance. A few maintenance things need to be taken care of - a light fixture was broken, bulbs were out, smoke detector needed replacing and sliding doors and screens were all sticking, but these are minor and might have been because no one had rented the house in the month before we arrived. Any questions we had were answered immediately by the owner. Overall, this is a nice rental house in the beautiful Florida Keys!

Great home, right on a deep clear canal 2 or 3 houses from the ocean. Great amenities 3 kayaks, 2 bikes. Close to Key West if you want experience the history, fun and sights. Big Pine has everything you need as far as pharmacies, grocery, and some shops. Close to Marathon and the 7 mile bridge, Bahia Honda state park. So many things to do all around you. Lots of tiki bars, happy hours, and live music. The owners are great to deal with, quick to respond if you have any questions. I give this home a thumbs up.
