The property was absolutely perfect for our relaxing getaway. It was clean, the owners were so friendly, and we had everything we needed. The river flowing behind the house put the place over the top. Words cannot do this property justice.

We had so much fun! The property was beautiful and the sound of the river was the soul soothing experience I needed to relax. My teenage sons spent most of the time either at the river or in the hot tube. (P.S. hot tubs were super clean and well maintianed... we haven't had that at other places) The entire experience was wonderful and we will be back every year! One of THE BEST places we have stayed. If you have teenagers who sometimes get along but also need their space, this is the place for you. It is big enough to give everyone in the family room to move around but also spend quality family time together!

Right in the middle of a laid back area where time seems to have slowed to a totally different tick of the clock. Easy check-in/check-out. This spot was just what we were hoping to find! The hot tub deck hangs right next to the river with a beautiful view from every angle. The unit was very clean and well maintained with easy access to the Asheville area. We will definitely be back to enjoy again! Bruce, the owner, was always ready to assist with our needs. Thanks again buddy, hope to see you again soon!

The house was clean and hearing the sound of the water is the best. Second time for us to stay here and we will be back! There wasn’t anytime that we have not enjoyed the atmosphere and fellowship here.

I feel very sad to have to write a 2 star review but I feel people should be aware of what they are spending their very hard earned money on when trying to go on a nice vacation or get away. I'll start with what the 2 stars are for. One, you are on the river. Two, there is a hot tub. But make sure you read the fine print under the Amenities on the Pool and Spa about the hot tub because apparently the owner shuts the Hot Tub down November 1st through April 1st. My family and I got there on the 3rd of November NOT knowing this was in the fine print. Thank goodness the weather was warmer then usual around this time of year and the owner decided to leave it on. Now for the rest of the details everyone should know about. Yes, one side of the cottage is on the river but the other side of the cottage is right on a main road and it is VERY busy and you are EXTREMELY close to it. You hear nothing but car after truck after truck after car and ect.... It was horrible! I was constantly stressing each time I heard vehicles going 60 to 80 miles an hour zipping past wondering if my truck was going to survive unscathed because YES you are that close to the road. Now to the inside of the cottage. The towels are ancient and feel like sand paper. The bed sheets are older then my grandmother's, and there was a smell in one of the bedrooms upstairs that was very unpleasant. I can only describe it as old dirty socks. It was not a mold smell. I am a professional house cleaner by trade and I clean a lot of water front homes so I know what a musty or mold-like smell is, and that was not the smell. The cottage is much smaller then the pictures lead you to believe. The sliding glass door to get out to the hot tub is a joke! For the amount you are paying a night to stay here they should be able to cough up enough money for a glass door that shuts properly. Shoot! They should have proper towels and sheets as well. Also, yes, there are steps leading down to the water but they are VERY dangerous and unstable. Oh, and to top it all off, the ceiling in the kitchen started leaking while we were there. It was leaking into the kitchen ceiling fan and came from the upstairs shower plumbing. We notified the owner of the situation and he said that it was supposed to had been fixed a few months ago and we were the first tenants to mention to him that it was leaking again. We felt we had to. Hello? Huge safety hazard anyone!? Due to the leak we could only us

Eh, it was quite a bit older than what my girlfriends and I usually stay in when we have a girl’s weekend in the mountains. The pictures gave us the impression that it was newer and more modern which is the kind of place we usually stay at when we go to the mountains from Raleigh. I thought the price was pretty steep for the age of the house. It is on a wonderful view of the water and it is very soothing back there. The hot tub was nice and the kitchen was pretty well equipped. I wish the pan options were a little bit more but we were able to use what we had. The bed I slept in, one of the queen beds, was actually very comfortable. All in all we had a great time. I just think it was overpriced. The hosts may want to consider hiring a new cleaning person/team. The basic look of the house was clean, but when you start looking between things like the upstairs bathroom and that space between the shower and sink (a broom will fit in this space), the current crew is missing a lot. We joked that now we knew where to get hair ties from if we lost ours. Also, the upstairs floor needs painting! I was still pulling off grey paint chips from my feet when I got home. I will say for those of you who want to bring your dogs, we were so glad we didn’t bring ours because there is very little space to walk them around outside. The front of the house is right on a busy street and in order to get to the back of the house by the river you have to climb down steep stairs and it’s pretty rocky down there. Had I brought my dog, I would’ve been a nervous wreck. Check out was very easy the hosts sent me a lovely safe travels text upon checkout. :)

The house itself is super comfortable and has a great back porch overlooking the water. We are a family of four and had plenty of room. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room had a lot of nice seating including a massage chair. In addition, the owners were very easy to work with and we had no issues. Overall I would definitely recommend this rental.

Comfortable place and the pics of the balcony begin to do it justice, what a feeling to be out there! Managed to be in the hot tub when the stars were bright around the full moon shining through that low tree hanging over the fast creek. It had rained briefly earlier in the day. Wow. The drive there was winding but fun, just took my time as most did. Breathe thru the occasional idiot. Beds were comfy. lots of kitchen items. If your calves are sore the massage chair will scrunch them hard, other than that it was weird. Never laid eyes on the landlords but they seemed very picky reiterating all their rules. Which was okay cuz we're clean freaks & mopped the floor when we got there anyway. (When you think abt it they save you $150.) Loved Hendersonville too! Go to Shine Restaurant for any reason & Sherman's to shop. Great lil town

Place was great. Hot tub amazing. Could of stocked up on extra stuff like paper towels and garbage bags. Also the door is a slam lock. We were accidentally locked out but we got back in with no problem. I told my girlfriend that I love her for the first time here. So this place is memorable!

This is first house I saw and picked when looking for a quick weekend getaway. I had no idea what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! The location is amazing and we cannot wait to come back in the summer.

We were in the area for a wedding and only wish we could stay longer (next time). The hi-lite is the deck with the hot tub overlooking the river. Even in colder weather it was delightful. The home features lots of wood and Americana accents, very cozy and comforting. There were only four of us, but definitely room for more.

Did not stay! Not rustic but nasty and old. Smelled awful!.Had to go home no other rentals.!bedspreads were very old and looked like they haven’t been washed in years would not sleep in there beds! Did not check in . Towels were old.

The first floor was lovely. Great kitchen which opens to the balcony that overhangs the river. Very soothing experience to sit and listen to the sound of the river. Lovely living room with great cable TV on the first floor. Also, nice bathroom on the first floor. I would not recommend this property for older individuals or those with mobility issues. All three bedrooms are on the second floor which is accessed by a steep staircase. Also, access to the river is not for the faint of heart. If you have young children or are older, there will be access issues.

Great property on the river. It is right on the main road, so road noise can bother a bit but otherwise the place was very good.
