This home was ideal for 3 couples, each couple having their own complete bath. There were several sitting areas, fully stocked kitchen and several floor fans in addition to ceiling fans if you didn't want to use air conditioner. We did opt for the air conditioner for an additional fee b3cause 2 of our men were really hot natured but the rest of us were comfortable with opening windows and using fans. The pool decking was in orocess of being replaced with composite and was about halfway done. Pool was clean and ready. Only 3 or 4 chaise loungers but they were newer and in good shape. Towels were new and thick, Calvin Klein. Washer and dryer were out in the garage/carport and worked well. Communication with manager was excellent. We would stay here again as it was convenient to sightseeing and groceries. There is no ocean view to speak of but its a short walk to nearby beach and deck above the carport is amazing. Perhaps when the foliage is trimmed you could see the ocean about 5 blocks away. Felt secure and surrounded by beautiful landscaping. Photos don't do the home justice.

We had a wonderful stay at this house. The location can’t be beat if you want a quiet street and quick access to amenities. We went to Keauhou Bay for snorkelling and it was an easy walk. Although there is no direct ocean view, there’s a very pretty rock beach at the end of the road - perfect for sunset viewing. The nearby shopping centre has some decent restaurants and a grocery store. The house is very clean and spacious with plenty of room for the five people in our group to spread out. George was always available by text if we had any questions and he checked in with us every day to see if there was anything we needed. In contrast to one of the more recent reviews we have to say that our experience was entirely different - excellent service and the house is in good condition and well-equipped. The plunge pool served its purpose for cooling off and it was nice sitting by it and also on the beautiful screened-in lanai. We would definitely stay here again!

I’ve been coming to the big island since the mid 90’s (aprox 15-20 trips) and have stayed in a variety of places. This was by far the worst and will never stay there again.
1. House is listed as ocean view. If you are ok with barley seeing the ocean through the trees, then yes it’s an ocean view. The owners idea of ocean view is very different then mine.
2. We show up to ripped chairs around the pool. The pool furniture looked like they picked them up at a garage sale or from someone just getting rid of them. After using them for a day, I was in touch with the property manager who replaced them the next day but he decided to leave them there as extras and now the property owner is charging me for the new chairs.
3. The back screen has band-aids on it where there are tears in the screen. While they may be unused band-aids, how about just replace the screen.
4. The Sundeck above the garage has cracks all over it
5. The pool is a joke. Fine for a couple of minutes after a day at the beach, but if you want to just sit around the pool and keep your feet in, you cannot as the tubing for the pool liner is about 3-4 inches above the height of the deck.
6. No vacuum in the house and no dustpan either. We were there for 10-days and were only able to sweep the floor into an area on the lanai.
7. No trash pickup during our 10-day stay. The guest book states trash will be removed during the stay, or you can take it to the dump yourself
8. All the towels were old and faded when we checked in. The property owner is now charging us for new towels as they state we bleached them.
9. Multiple times was asked to alert the property manager of when his packages were being delivered to the house. And had to arrange to have him pick up personal property stored in the master bedroom locked closet. I normally would not mind this, but when I’m being charged for items which were left in the same condition as when we arrived, how do I charge the property owner and manager for my time?
10. We asked if there was a pack-n-play for my almost 2yr old granddaughter. The property manager txted me back the next day saying there was one on property. The following day, our travel day, we get a text from I assume the property owner stating it’s a $50 charge. Had we known this in time, we would have traveled with one.
I wish I could post phots of the home to provide what you are really getting. Truly disappointing, spend your $$ elsewhere.

Beautiful home! Well kept with plenty of space for 3 adult couples to spread out and relax. At the end of our daily adventures we referred to it as heading home. The pool is small, but perfect for cooling off with a beverage.

Fun getaway
Great area on the Big Island with so much to do close by. Very large house with many seating areas in and out. No great views, but just a couple minute walk to little beautiful beach cove. Course was very convenient to the golfer in our group

Checking in was easy. Be sure to pay for air conditioning in advance so that there's no confusion once you get there. This house has lots of room and private areas so that your group will have plenty of room to relax and spread out. Walking distance to the water and launch site for several snorkeling tour boats. Short drive to nice restaurants and grocery stores. There was no BBQ grill so we purchased a weber to use and left it behind for others along with plenty of bbq utensils.

We stayed for over 40 days. The house is very big, approximately 2,600 sq ft and the pictures are accurate. George and Ed are very nice and would bring these huge avocados from their farm and stopped by several times per week to empty the trash.
Make sure you understand that there is a daily fee for the AC. When we stayed it was $20 extra per day, which means the price you see & the total is not accurate until Host updates. Host capped AC until at 76F and it took 2 weeks of texts to get Host to let us lower the temp and it was capped at 72F (see more notes on AC below).
Watch for extra charges depending on number of people. Nightly price listed is only for 2 people, even though it’s a 3 bd/3ba house + sofa bed. Ask for reduction.
Due to some of the “needs improvement” & uncomfortable beds, linens, & lack of proper cooking gear, for this price with the extra fees for AC & extra fees for more than 2 people, I probably won’t book
Here are the good & the not so good:
Good:
Large common areas
Master bedrooms felt large with high ceilings & large closets with shelves
Clean upon arrive
Back deck area was large and patio furniture comfortable
Excellent wifi, even with 3+ people working
Hosts respected privacy
Refrigerator has lots of space, water & icemaker (although we replaced the water filter)
Except for extra AC charge, price reflects house status compared to similar size
Small splash pool was always nice & cold
Dishwasher quit working & they were responsive on repair
Needs improvement:
All liens need to be replaced, from the towels to the sheets
All beds need to be replaced, very soft memory form beds that are lumpy & starting to sag
Kitchen needs to be reoutfitted with new plates, pots/pans, etc.
Ceiling fans need to be replaced, very noisy & look like they are ready to fall down
Decorations & common area furniture are very dated, although the artwork is nice
No beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, or other beach gear, which is typically provided by other Big Island Hosts
No BBQ grill
The AC is not a very good unit & appears to be retrofitted to house. During the heat of the day, even with lower temp finally allowed, it was barely 5 degrees cooler inside and some days felt extremely hot in the house. The Host will tell you it’s a tropical environment & there is not much they can do. This is not accurate as we have stayed on the Big Island many times and have stayed in places where this was not such an issue.

Great Trip
Wonderful location! Close to great shops and restaurants, but far enough from the crowded areas of town to still feel calm and peaceful. Hosts were great, they had a lot of helpful suggestions for things to do and places to try. George brought us some fresh picked avocados from their farm! Would definitely stay here again.

This house was so beautiful and so well situated, we didn’t want to leave! It’s even bigger than it seems in the pictures, meticulously clean, well-equipped and so convenient to local attractions and conveniences. The plunge pool was also bigger than anticipated, and so fun after a long day of adventures around the island. It’s also surrounded by plumeria trees so it’s both private and smells amazing. You can walk down to a lava rock beach in 5 minutes, or up the hill to shops and restaurants in 10 minutes. The internet was great and allowed several of us to get some work done from the large screened lanai, with occasional visits from cute little geckos. Many thanks to George for being so welcoming and responsive.

Eden in Keauhou
Beautiful. peaceful garden off lanai...and around the property. The location of this property is perfect! In a neighborhood, yet you still have a sense of having your own space....and plenty of space inside too! We visited as a couple, and there would have been plenty of room for the rest of our family. The splash pool is just right for floating and was enjoyed everyday. Easy to navigate your way into Kona and beyond...and close to shopping center with really anything you would need for your stay.

aA wonderful winter getaway
We had a fantastic time while staying at this lovely place in Kona. It was in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to a beach where we often watched surfers. The homeowner and caretaker both did an excellent job of making our stay a memorable experience. Even though we left early due to unforeseen circumstances, we would definitely come back and stay here again! We enjoyed fresh picked avocados and papayas and even got a lovely tour of the farm! It was great

Awesome house!
Great property, conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood but close to shopping and the beach. Spacious and well maintained, it was private from the neighbors. Our family of 7 fit well in it, it was nice to have two master suites. Loved the swimming pool and deck. The books, tourist info and puzzles were a nice touch. Our daughter loved the geckos, but not so much the ants and cockroaches. FYI : The A/C costs more to operate lower than 82 degrees.

Great home, perfect location.
From the minute we arrived we were impressed with the home and all that it offers.
We felt like we had our own personal concierge with George here on the Island. He was super helpful and always available if we needed anything. He had many suggestions that we found helpful such as best beaches, sights and restaurants.
A big thank you to Ed - George Jr - George Sr for everything related to putting this wonderful home together as a vacation rental.
The home is equipped with just about everything a travelling family could ever want. We truly enjoyed staying in your home and will cherish the many memories of staying here in Kona for Christmas 2018.

Location, Pool, Space, Hosts -- Perfection!
The Keauhou house was perfect for our family of 5...70ish grandparents, 35ish parents, one teenager. Lots of space to gather or find solitude as needed. Two master suites separated at either end of a lovely, well designed and decorated home. The house itself is beachy and welcoming with comfortable but stylish furnishings, along with original art. Very inviting and livable. Kitchen is decently stocked and clean. Washer and dryer in garage. The unheated but very pleasant temp splash pool was a joy at end of each action packed day. Location in quiet suburban neighborhood a few miles from the Kona traffic and tourist activity was perfect for us. We could easily head in any direction for the day without first negotiating Kona. One block from Fair Wind snorkel boat...we went 3 times on afternoon boat with summer discounts if booked online. Golfed at public course right there, too...Kona Country Club. Gorgeous course along the ocean. Loved having shopping center a block up the hill. Our kids walked it daily. Loved Los Habaneros-- get there early for tacquitoes (they only make so many each day and they sell out). Food is excellent, but slow...be patient...you are on vacation and dining with locals 😁. Share a bite with the mascot kitty who politely sits outside and "begs." Her picture is on Habaneros facebook page. Binallis Pizza and Pasta very good. Sam Choys for pupus and sunset...perfect. Nearby Teshimas...excellent tempura and chicken katsu...another locals place. Owner Ed was responsive and very easy to work with. Our local hosts, George and Steve, were fun and went above and beyond to insure that our stay was perfect. Very responsive with great recommendations for eateries and sights that should not be missed island wide. We texted back and forth over our 2 week stay and I know that their suggestions enhanced our visit on spectacular Big Island. Really appreciated. We will return to this lovely property and great hosts. I wish I were eating papaya right now on screened in porch in the company of geckos. Hint: pay a little extra for air conditioning. It is worth it.

A real treat!
Owners were very generous with fresh avocados, papaya and our check in process. The kitchen is very well stocked with SHARP knives, lots of plates and glasses. The pool is nice for a refreshing dip at the end of the day. The location is great for walking to snorkeling and the Rays in the Bay restaurant and manta ray watching.
We had a great stay!

Family Reunion/Winter Vacation
What a perfect home and location! Large house with lots of large rooms and a great kitchen. Walking distance to groceries store, restaurants, a farmer's market and recreation. Property manager met us at check-in and stopped by to be sure everything was OK several more times.

Great house and location!
This was a great house and located close to beaches, golf, stores and restaurants. It allowed 3 golf buddies ample space to relax and even have a smoke outdoors at the pool and sun-deck. The pool was a little small, but the screened in Lanai was one of our favorite areas to eat or have a drink in the afternoon. Recommend the Kona Country Club for golf, it was awesome. If you are staying during the warmer months, we recommend paying for the AC, you’ll probabaly need it. Appreciate Ed and George’s quick response to any questions and concerns. Recommend this house to anyone with a large group.

Perfect Location / Pay to be cool
This is the perfect location to explore the island. It is close to everything but in a nice quiet neighborhood. It is across the street from the Kona Country Club and just a few blocks from Keauhou Bay. You have easy access to golf and water sports alike. At Keauhou Bay you can rent paddle boards, kayaks or sign up for snorkle tours. It is also within walking distance of a shopping center which has a couple decent restaurants , grocery store and cinema. We explored a lot of the island and you can get anywhere within a couple of hours.
The house itself is nicely decorated and has all the comforts of home. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals . The house has three separate sitting areas in case people want to spread out.
There is a nice screened in lanai off the kitchen and master bedroom. As others have mentioned, the pool is small and not very warm but the patio area is nice for relaxing outdoors. There is also a deck on top of the garage with a gas grill. This is the only spot with an ocean view.
The beds are adequate, not as good as home but better than many places we've stayed. The sheets we had seemed a little worn as did the towels. There are two master suites with walk in closets and attached bathrooms. The third bedroom is smaller and right next to the hall bath. They looked a little more dated than the master suites but we didn't need to use them.
The only surprise was that air conditioning costs $20 extra per day. The cost was hidden so we didn't know this and when we arrived it was almost 90 degrees in the house. As you scroll past air conditioning under ammenities you will see 3 dots. If you stop your cursor on this exact spot the charges appear. We didn't mind paying just wish they'd been more up front about the charge. Overall it was a great house in a perfect location.

great home away from home
This was a great house, loved the layout. We had 3 adults and 4 teenagers and they loved it too!
The pool was great and the screened in lanai was one of my favorite places. The bath in the master bedroom was to die for. This house is great for 3 couple, two small Families or one big family. The only drawback we encountered was the hot water, there wasn't much on the two rainy days we had. I would recommend this house to anyone and if we go back to Hawaii I would stay there again!

Definitely luxury, definitely worth it!
We (three couples) had an amazing stay in this beautiful villa. It is located near restaurants and stores. You can explore nice beaches and Kona city within minutes. The house itself is in a quiet area with a relaxing outside area.
The house is very very clean and has enough space for 6.
Ed is a lovely host who was always available in case of questions.
All of us would definitely recommend it!!!

Perfect home on the bay
We loved our stay here. The house was clean with great design. It was in a perfect location for snorkeling, swimming and paddle boarding. Also, it's very close to good food spots. George and Anthony were very welcoming and helpful. We loved having our own pool in a well kept back yard. We would stay here again in a minute.

Mahalo George and ed- what a great place to stay! Not
A problem to get around to places- the mall up the top was so convenient. Ed and George were super helpful and nice! Couldn't have asked for a better place and a private pool to boot! Lots of space for us to spread out, and get confirtable. Can't wait to come back again!

Awesome place!!
We thorough enjoyed our stay at Ed & Georges place. George, Sr. was great and making sure our stay was excellent. He was very responsive to anything we needed. The dryer was broken when we arrived and George, Sr. put up two clotheslines because the repair man couldn't get here until after we left and the clothesline worked great! He even gave us a tour of their farm and gave us avocados and papaya several times during the week. The house was very spacious and plenty of room for us to spread out!! The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and utensils (and even had spices for use) and we made many of our meals in the home to save money! Great location with a shopping plaza right up the road. Did the luau at the Sheraton that was a mile down the road and it was excellent. The pool and sun deck were perfect! We used the gas grill several times for cooking as well. The landscaping is beautiful. The house came equipped with beach towels, snorkeling gear, & umbrellas for the beach. Beautiful beaches nearby (short driving distance). There were two couples and one single and the 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms were perfect. The rooms are very large and comfortable. TV's in two of the bedrooms which was nice. TV in one of the sitting area as well (but we spent most of our time outside so the only time the TV came on was for the Oscars)!! Overall the place is fantastic and the pictures were spot on. We would come back anytime!!

We stayed for a week but could have moved in for good! Ed the owner was very attentive and provided great advice regarding recommended beaches to make the most of our stay. The house is huge with multiple sitting areas to allow everyone their own chill out space after a morning at the beach. We highly recommend the Luau at the Sheraton and the canoeing safari, all within walking distance from the house! Fair price, great house, walk to store and kid friendly beach, what more could we ask for! We will stay here again when we visit the big island!
