Located in South Haven, this lovely house for $200 per night is a great option for your next trip. Our home overlooks the Black River steps away from downtown South Haven and a 7 minute stroll along the Riverwalk to South Beach and the South Haven Lighthouse. The first level of our home is barrier-free accessible and beach cottage decorated with all of the amenities you need for a relaxing beach holiday with the convenience of South Haven’s shops and restaurants literally around the corner. We offer barrier-free access to: 2 bedrooms, 1 queen and 1 with twin beds, and 1 full bath Full kitchen with all necessary preparation utensils, dinnerware and outdoor grill All linens and towels are provided. Just bring your favorite beach towel! Free WiFi, Cable TV and DVD Player Large, screened front porch for dining, relaxing and viewing the boats in South Haven’s active harbor Off-Street parking. We’re ideally suited for a small family of 4 or 4 adults willing to share. South Haven becomes a winter wonderland typically beginning over the holiday season. Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and sledding are some of the nearby activities, particularly during Ice Breaker Fest in February! In season, generally from Memorial to Labor Day weekends, we prefer weekly rentals, beginning Friday or Saturday, at 15% off of our daily rate for 7 days or more. Daily rates of (2 day minimum) may be available on request. Please call for availability if the calendar is uncooperative:). Off season, generally September 15 - May 15, rates are discounted 30-50%. Check in is after 3:00pm and check out is by 11:00am. All fees (cleaning, etc.) are included in the weekly rate. ***VRBO may add a booking fee to your reservation.

Our rental was a great mix of modern conveniences and beachy-antique decorating. The garden is lovely and we were gifted with fresh-cut flowers. It truly is a brief walk to either beach or downtown. Although in town, being located at the end of the street it seems more private. Beautiful overall and very clean.

Everything in this lovely rental was just as advertised. Neat, clean, well-appointed kitchen, easily walkable to downtown shopping and restaurants as well as South Beach and the lighthouse. The grounds/gardens are stunning 😍, and Dan is more than happy to let guests wander appreciatively. Hosts are right upstairs if you have a question and were very polite and responsive. The only suggestion I would make is a more comfy couch with a good reading light. Thanks for a great getaway!

A wonderful cottage-y vibe in a fantastic location (about a 5 minute walk to downtown, 10 minutes along the river to the beach). The property is well-maintained and pretty much has everything you could possibly want or need. The grounds are absolutely amazing, with all kinds of flora and fauna that are meticulously cared for. Fantastic view of the Black River, and lots of boats in the marina. Also, the hosts, John, Sally, and Dan DeCardy, are some of the nicest people. We've stayed here twice and look forward to our next visit!

My wife and I stayed in early August 2023 for one week. The unit was very clean and even better than described. The host family lives onsite and checked with us several times to make sure that everything was okay. This is in a great location that is close to the downtown and the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book this unit again!

Our stay at this property was wonderful. The location couldn’t have been better, with views from the screened in porch of the channel and easy access to get to the boardwalk/beach. We ate all of our meals at the table on the porch. Our children loved the porch swing and admiring the many flowers/garden on the property. They also had everything we needed to cook as well as books and games for the kiddos. Such a wonderful experience, we would definitely stay again!

Everything was wonderful. I planned a 4 day stay here in August but it was too cold to swim in the lake. Luckily we found enough fun stuff to do around town and in the house that we had a great vacay.

We stayed at this lovely rental for a mother/daughter weekend. The home has a beautiful hillside garden and is decorated inside with unique, cozy touches. It has everything you'd need! We sipped coffee on the screened in porch, walked to the beach and just relaxed. Looking forward to another visit!

The property was clean and in a great location near South Beach. We were in the downstairs portion of the house. There was a nice front porch overlooking the black river and boat docks close to the lake. I had my coffee and read my morning paper there each day. Good communication with the owners throughout the stay. My daughter and son-in-law from New York stayed with us, so it was fine for 4 adults. Used the grill for a couple of meals and the kitchen has all you need. We had a very pleasant stay at this location for a very cool week in June in Western Michigan.

I had always noticed this property while walking out to the lighthouse and I mentioned how nice it would be to stay there. I was thrilled when I found it on VRBO. It was everything I imagined it would be.... relaxing, super clean, beautiful view and friendly owners. We loved the manicured grounds and especially the rocks!!! Cannot wait to visit again.

We were delighted as soon as we walked in the door of this lovely home away from home. The rooms and amenities were perfect. The beds are super comfortable. And the screened porch looking out over the Black River is such a special spot for relaxing. There is also a lovely garden that was starting its spring bloom with beautiful tulips. We hope to stay here again in the not too distant future.

100/10 would recommend. It was a perfect short getaway for this city couple. It was cozy, comfortable and perfect. It was extremely peaceful and minutes away from the beach. Would definitely book again.

Over the top re: clean and location. Can't wait to book this spot again & stay a little longer. Only one recommendation: the two twin beds might not be the best for adults, if you are over 5'9" - perfect for a couple & 2 children!! The twin beds have footboards that can be a real pain, literally. Super host, super place, & super spot.

This property was perfect for a quick getaway to attend a wedding. We would have loved to stay longer but schedules are too crazy. It is very relaxing and the view is great to sit on the porch and enjoy the water rolling through the canal. The beach and downtown areas are within walking distance which is great to not have to jump in the car. Really enjoyed our stay!

This is the second year in a row we've stayed here with our two daughters (10 & 12). It is the perfect size and ideal location to enjoy the beach, pier, marina, restaurants and shops. John, Sally & Dan keep it impeccably clean, the kitchen has everything we need, and the property is gorgeous with all the wildflowers. We appreciate being able to store our bikes and beach gear in the covered breezeway so that it is easy to access and load up each day. Thanks!

I enjoyed this property as it is located in a very quiet area but still is within walking distance of downtown South Haven, the pier and the beach. It was nice to walk to town, have dinner, then head to the pier for a Lake Michigan sunset.
