Good location, just about 3 minutes to the metro station, lots of grocery stores nearby. Good equipment in the room: spacious closets for keeping the clothes (could be shelves installed though), coffeemaker and fridge. Spacious bathroom. There was no AC in the room, but a fan was available, which was ok.
The property probably will not suit for sensitive sleepers. Every possible noise which could be theoretically made was actually made: seagulls shouting on the roof at 5 am, motorcycles passing with the loudest possible noise, squeaking floors, people who come in the night and for half an hour cannot open their room, at the same time talking loudly via a video call.. Was woken up for several nights by these factors, no sound insulation.

The property has a lot of character, a beautiful historic building with a lovely communal terrace that's a great spot to unwind. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and self-check-in was seamless with codes sent well in advance. The location is also excellent, just five minutes from the metro with easy access to Porto's best neighbourhoods on foot.
Rooms can get warm in summer, which is normal but worth keeping in mind. The property runs fully remotely with no on-site reception, which suits independent travellers but may not suit everyone.

Nice old building, tasteful decor, great value. Relaxed, pension-style atmosphere. Convenient location for my purposes on this visit. Easy check-in and helpful staff. Decent breakfast considering how reasonable the prices are. Plenty of pillows.
The shower floor was bendy and flimsy and the shower temperature only went up so high, a bit below the temperature I'd like, at least in winter. The rooms are not at all soundproofed so you can hear everything next door and it can be difficult to sleep. The sheets were clean but stained and the curtains had stains too.

It's a beautiful building very close to public transport in a quiet part of Porto, easy to get to everything by foot or by public transport.
Our bed was comfortable and the linen provided was good, as was the shower.
The concierge team were in touch with access codes well in advance of our arrival.
The building was run remotely. We didn't see a single member of staff for the duration of our time in Porto. There was no housekeeping in the 5 nights that we stayed.
Our booking included breakfast and use of a communal kitchen, and our room description said we had a courtyard room with a fan. None of this was the case.
There's no kitchen. (Just a table). We were happy with the coffee machine, kettle and fridge in our room and bought crockery and cutlery to sort ourselves out. A fan might have been nice in the heatwave, but it was obviously a really busy weekend so we coped. The walls are thin - pack earplugs!
We're adults, so weren't going to let it spoil a good holiday, but the building isn't being well managed and it's only a matter of time before the maintenance issues build up and become a real nuisance for the people staying.
We'll return to Porto and to that area, but probably not to another GuestReady property.
