Nestled in Smith Mountain Lake, this lovely house for $675 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Imagine vacationing here! Become one with the water! No steps or walk to the water, you are on the water! Centrally located to all activities by boat & car! Wide water views. Enjoy one of 3 stone fireplaces at night! Fenced yard, for dogs and kids! Ramp on shore which makes easy access to the water for all! Wake up each morning with the lake lapping water on the shore right outside your window. Imagine a home extending over the water - this is it!! Go straight from bedrooms, living areas to the decks & dock over the water. Upper deck is like an additional living area since it extends out from the living room/kitchen. It has a dining table, and a new large sectional couch. Also, there is a bistro set on the upper deck and master bedroom deck. At night, after you watch the wide water view sunset, relax by one of the stone fireplaces this home offers, reading your favorite book, playing games or putting together a puzzle. If it's too warm for the indoor fireplaces, enjoy the outdoor fire pit with the lake lapping on the shore next to you! Plenty of firewood provided and seating next to the fire pit! High cathedral ceilings in living room and master bedroom await you. The master bedroom is very romantic with the vaulted wood ceiling and fireplace! The master bath is just as romantic with a vaulted wood ceiling and a 2 person jacuzzi tub!! You can't get any better than this! Kitchen overlooking the water and fully equipped is in the center of all of your activity. The game room offers a pool table / ping pong, game boy, Play Station with games. Den area also has a circular poker table which can be converted to a bumper pool table! You will never want to leave this home. Large areas for parking boats and cars on property. This home is maintained & managed by the homeowners which visit the home every 2 weeks thru out the year to make sure it is organized & properly maintained! Permits: Our home has a Bedford County septic permit for 5 bedrooms therefore allowing us to sleep 10 people over the age of 2 (under the age of 2 does not have to be counted). We have also had our home inspected by Bedford County for the correct number of fire alarms, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers. Therefore we have met the requirements set by Bedford County to allow short term rentals in our home. High Speed Internet Linens provided for SUMMER weekly renters Propane tank for grill is always full! One full back up and one on the grill. Filled up between renters by home owners or home manager. Firewood and starter wood for fireplace and fire pit provided. Trash pickup on Thursday. No more hauling to the trash stations!

House absolutley beautiful, well stocked, as close to the water as you can get, so many deer all day long. Loved our fires by the lake!!! Awesome bathrooms!!! Enjoyed every evening watching the lake. So peaceful this time of the year.

Can’t say enough about this place! Very unique house right on the water! Located in the center of SML near the state park. It’s an easy cruise to Bridgewater Marina or up to the reservoir. Or just enjoy Lake TV while sitting on the deck!
Can’t think of one thing the house didn’t have! Games, puzzles, fire pit, open upper deck, covered tiki bar deck, fully stocked and very functional kitchen, pool table, card table, countless flotation devices. Everything for a fun, relaxing week.
However, the best part of the accommodations is its owner. Have used VRBO around the country for years and have never had such a gracious and available host.

Everything from the beginning to the end exceeded my expectations! We were in town for my daughter and her fiancé’s graduation from Liberty University-a total of 10 of us, ages 15-adult.
The property is breathtaking, the house is immaculate and fully furnished, Judy has not spared one expense to make you feel at home; she is so very kind and treats you as family before/during your stay and is readily available if needed. We honestly did not need anything other than our belongings and groceries-everything else was provided. We will ABSOLUTELY be back!

Dreams REALLY do come true at this absolutely stunning lake house! Overlooking Smith Mountain Lake! The most incredible views EVER!!!! The home comes with EVERYTHING you could ever need.
It is immaculate with SO MANY things to do even if you never left the home!!!!
Spent many hours in the basement with a roaring fire playing bumper pool, pool, foozeball, etc.
The kitchen is FULLY stocked with anything you may need!
The MASTER is another DREAM COME TRUE! It is amazing and enormous!!! Lakeviews from almost every room.

Highly Recommend
Obviously well taken care of, the home was exceptionally clean, warm and inviting, really felt like our home away from home….kitchen well stocked, well above par for a VRBO, great for dogs and kids, many, many Amenities, caught numerous 1-3 pound large mouth.bass off the dock with artificial bait…the view and exposure off the deck is perfect at all times of the day. On top of it all the owner acts as if shes part of the family, or a concierge, sets everything up and ready easy as can be and offers many suggestions that are not over done just informative and to the point…It was a dream come true indeed.’ Thank you Judy!!!!!!!!!

Our host Judy provided the absolute best support I have ever experienced when renting a vacation property. She was available via text during our stay and happy to help with even the smallest question. The place is loaded with everything you may need for entertainment, including electronics, puzzles, and games. We caught several largemouth and smallmouth bass from the dock using live jumbo minnows, the biggest was 4.5 pounds. We rented a boat from her recommended vendor and he delivered it right to the dock, it was so easy and the ride down to the Dam was so gorgeous! Our group of seven found it the perfect size, we did have some cool and rainy days that made enjoying the outdoors impossible. Our only concern was that the inside dining table is smallish and can only accommodate 6 people, forcing the seven of us to split up for our family dinners with the kids at the adjacent kitchen bar. We made so many memories on this stay and fully expect this to become a new family tradition. We are already looking forward to returning next year.

Incredible Lake Home
We had an incredible time at this gorgeous lake home. Thoughtful touches of a full coffee bar and nook was great for early risers and the downstairs game room was perfect for late nighters. Spent a lot of time in the deck overlooking the lake. You’re literally sitting on top of the water!
So many perks and owners extremely kind and very responsive. We highly recommend this property!

Judy was amazing through the entire process. From check in to helping us with places to go etc. We all had such a fabulously relaxing time. It has a very home like feel and of course being on the water was amazing. So much room, teens had a ball kayaking and fishing. My dog even loved it! It was our first time at SML and can’t wait to go back! We also got engaged! Beautiful scenery and made lots of wonderful memories.

Relaxing get away weekend
The house was a relaxing get away for a group of 8 with plenty of room to spread out. We were there in April for a long weekend, the shoulder season, with one very rainy day, but we’re still able to enjoy kayaking, renting a pontoon boat, and walking through the nearby state park. Judy provided all the basics such as napkins, spices, hand soap, etc and lots of advice on the area, making it convenient. She was readily accessible and stayed in touch. Would highly recommend.

Family Christmas 2020
We needed a place mid-way between where we live & where my parents live in order to be able to celebrate Christmas as a family as we have done for more than two decades. Judy was fantastic to work with in the lead up to the holiday. Her lake home was the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy being together as a family. It is a beautiful home as well as being comfortable and well laid out. We had a wonderful time and hope to be able to return in warmer weather to enjoy the lake.

The updated, well equipped kitchen was a real plus since we did A LOT of cooking including our Thanksgiving feast. The master suite is really luxurious and all the bathrooms are beautifully updated. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. She answered all our questions, made great suggestions and helped us find resources available in the off-season. It was an all around great experience.

Perfect getaway
This property couldn’t have been better. The house was clean, comfortable, and centrally located to what we were interested in doing. We’ve stayed in a lot of rentals over the years, and What makes this one of our favorite places is the extras that Judy provides. From coffee and creamer to all of the fun activities in the house for a rainy day, there couldn’t be a better rental.

Amazing Views and House
Dream Come True was a wonderful property. The house was super clean, beds were comfortable, and had a great kitchen with all the amenities our family of 4 + dog could ever need. While mother nature brought historic flooding to Smith Mountain Lake the weekend we happened to be there, we still enjoyed our fall getaway. Jude, the owner, was very communicative during our stay, which is much appreciated. The top deck was our favorite spot and the sunset views were beautiful. And even with high water levels, we got out on the kayaks to enjoy the lake. Thanks for a great house/location! We wouldn't hesitate to rent again!

Three words - Dream Come True!
We spent a week with our family here and enjoyed every detail of this immaculate rental. Our two labs loved hanging out on the deck watching lake!
The kitchen is newly remodeled and has all the tools and small appliances to whip up any meal desired!
Location is wonderful! The area on SML is quite.
Many books, magazines, chess, poker table and billiards plus a ton of movies for a rainy day.

Incredible house!
We cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. Every amenity you could ever need or want was available for use. The kitchen was fully stocked and the pool table/ping pong table was a huge hit with everyone. We loved relaxing on the deck at sunset waiting for the ice cream boat to come by! The location is ideal as it's close to Bridgewater marina, as well as several restaurants/grocery stores. The local wineries were right around the corner too! Judy, the owner, is amazing to work with and we would highly recommend her house!

Great location, lovely home
We stayed for a long weekend in mid-October. It’s a wonderful time to be at the lake - very quiet and serene. The home is (literally) on the water and the deck was the most popular spot in the whole house. Judy provided us with plenty of info, including boat rentals, and that was a huge highlight for all. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need and more. All in all, a lovely home at a beautiful location.

Amazing for humans and canines alike, in and out of the water!
Having stayed at many houses at Smith Mountain Lake, "Dream Come True!" was exceptionally clean, completely stocked with amenities, and lovingly maintained. And we are clean freaks! Not a speck of dust or dog hair was found anywhere. You have an exceptional home Judy! Being able to bring our two dogs to enjoy the comfort, views, and wide water with us was what made our "dream come true" on this vacation because our dogs are family. Being able to enjoy the beautiful setting with your dogs inside the house, on the dock (which is gated/fenced), or in the spacious fenced-in dog yard is extremely unique and we found it to be perfect for our family. We all can't wait to visit again soon now that we've found our home away from home!

We had an amazing time at this house! Perfect location overlooking the lake and a beautiful view. The house was very clean, plenty of room for everyone, the house has everything you need like life jackets, floats, kayaks, speakers on the back dock to play music, this really is the perfect house if you enjoy being outside. We would love to go back for a longer stay next time :)

AMAZING
This was the perfect family get a way. The property is right on the water which is really special for SML bc most you have many many steps to get to get to water. The master suite is beautiful and so spacious. The other rooms are great as well. The house was very well stocked with things you might need at a lake house. Games, skis, floats, puzzles, coloring for kids, you name it- she had it! It was definitely “a dream come true”!
