Fine hotel for the price, but would not recommend unless you are not facing the street with all the bars. The bed was comfy, the breakfast was acceptable, the location was close to the castle. No issues with the staff or using the after hours access codes.
The hotel is right next to a very loud college bar that has music going until very late into the night. As there is no central air, we tried to keep the windows open for ventilation but it was way too loud. This was extremely disappointing and made it difficult to sleep, especially since we were staying 4 nights and had to deal with it multiple days in a row. The room was also very very tiny with superfluous chairs and tables that took up all the space at the foot of the bed and we had to move things about to find somewhere for the suitcases.
The breakfast was fine, nothing special. Overall, was expecting more from a boutique hotel and instead it felt a bit rundown.
