About this cottage rental
Nestled in Ithaca, this attractive cottage for $442 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Less than 2 miles from downtown Ithaca, This charming 2 bedroom Lake House on the West Shore of Cayuga Lake has off street parking for 2 cars and its own adorable Waterfalls with spectacular views. * Our Pet Policy* We will consider up to 2 Dogs each weighing 20 Lbs or less to accompany our guests, please inquire if needed. We rent only Sunday-Sunday in summer so if the dates are grayed out, please change your check-in and check-out dates to Sunday. More information The space The Lake side bedroom of this one story Cottage has sliding glass doors over looking the lake. Walk out of the sliding glass doors, and you're on the Deck. The second bedroom has a work station and skylight. The fully equipped Kitchen with dishwasher opens to into the Living and Dining room area. This area is full of windows looking onto the lake. The Cottage has vaulted wooden ceilings with skylights, making the space feel opened and bright. The lakeside of the Cottage has a covered porch with Table and Chairs leading to a gas grill. Walk past the covered porch and your on the outer deck. While sitting at the table and chairs on the outer deck, you can see a great distance up and down the lake, including Stewart Park and Cornell University. Walk down 2 flights of stairs from the outer deck and you're at the Lake level. The Lake level has the Sun deck, with a chair swing and a Gazebo with table and chairs. There is a dock at lake level with 3 Kayaks. On the other side of Sundeck is a grassy area with a fire pit and chairs. The Cottage is close to many wineries and attractions, including Taughannock Falls State Park and Hangar Theater. Black Diamond Trail is across the street. Please note that we only rent to up to two families due to a neighborhood restriction. We do not rent to groups of friends. Total number of registered guests staying at cottage shall not exceed 4 people. Total number of visitors including registered guest shall not exceed 10 people at any one time. All outdoor music must be at a volume that cannot be heard by the neighboring properties. The space is perfect for a couples getaway or a small family retreat. Interaction with guests Available by phone or text when and if needed. Other things to note There are approximately 6 flights of steep stairs with landings from the parking area to the Cottage; approximately 70 steps. There are 2 flights of steep stairs with a landing from the Cottage to the Lake level with approximately 26 steps. All tenants and guest must be able to navigate stairs with ease. Unfortunately it is not handicapped accessible. Although the dock may be used for sunning and swimming, absolutely no boats of any size are permitted to be tied to the dock. The Dock is a portable dock and will not support boats. The boat lift absolutely may not be used by renters or guests for any purpose. Please note that during the times the cottage is not rented I reside at the Cottage with my 2 cats and 2 dogs. Potential renters with pet allergies should be aware that this property has two small dogs and two cats in residence with the owner when the cottage is not rented. * Our Pet Policy* We will consider up to 2 Dogs each weighing 20 Lbs or less to accompany our guests, please inquire if needed. Winter guests: We deliver property with shoveled steps. Thereafter tenants are responsible for snow removal.

Beautiful home on Cayuga lake. This home has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay. Views from the decks are amazing, I spent mornings afternoons and evenings on the decks just relaxing watching the lake and listening to the waterfall right next to the home. Owner has 2 bird feeders on the deck that attracts so many different birds, great with your morning coffee.
Property on lake level just as pretty. Fire pit with chairs, gazebo with table and chairs, chair swing, canoe (which my daughter and I used to go out on the lake fishing) and kayaks.
Owner does forewarn about the amount of steps, there are a lot BUT this home and the level of relaxation you feel while staying here is well worth it.

Couldn’t have found a more perfect spot to celebrate: gorgeous cottage with amazing deck overlooking the lake, and everything you’d need for a vacation on the water. House was immaculate with every amenity imaginable.

Despite rainy weather for the first few days, the sun did eventually come out on day 3. The lake was beautiful (even in the rain). Location was close to town for shops and restaurants and nearby Wegmans and a Trader Joe’s. We made it to Taughannock Falls and that was beautiful! Winneries abound. Steps were many but owner clearly shows that in all of the pictures. Driveway is a challenge to exit bc the driveway is very steep but once you do it a few times you get the hang of it. Overall, 5 stars. Will definitely plan to stay here again!

The view and location of Robert's house is top notch. The easy access to the lake, and the outside living spaces are well kept, well thought out and absolutely relaxing. We used the double kayaks many times and it was the highlight for the kids.
The house itself is cozy with all the essentials to make our stay comfortable. The furnishings and interior of the house are dated, but everything was functional and usable. I couldn't get the coffee machine to work, and Robert immediately sent over a brand new coffeemaker (Thank you!). The living spaces are more than adequate for a family of 4.
We would highly recommend this lake house for a small family!

The cabin and it's convenient location served as an amazing vacation for myself, my husband and our Cornell law student son for a week. The views, beautiful waterfall on the property and relaxing deck were all enjoyed greatly. Highly recommend this homey getaway. Was prepared for the steps but they were better than I expected!

Great Getaway Spot
We had a great and relaxing stay with a gorgeous view of the lake. House is clean and well stocked with everything you need. Check in was really easy. Property is as described and has great views along the lake plus a little waterfall runs right by the house. The steps look daunting but after the first time up it isn't that bad at all and it gave us a good workout! Really easy to get to the parks, wineries and downtown Ithaca as all are within minutes from the house. Area is fairly quiet so if you just want to stay st the house and relax it's set up nicely to do that. Highly recommend this property.

I loved staying here, it was just a perfect place to unwind. Everything was super clean and extremely organized. The owners are very kind and helpful. The view of Cayuga Lake is remarkable from the house, and it is a short drive to restaurants and Cornell campus. I will surely go back!

Highly recommend staying at this beautiful cottage that is located right on the lake. It was absolutely perfect, we were so sad to leave! We enjoyed the most beautiful sunrises from the deck and could also see it from the bedroom. Exceptionally clean and just as advertised.

The cottages was large and beaguiful. The view of the lake amazing. The only downside is the amount of stairs to get to it, if you not in good shape would be daunting.

Great stay
The house was on a beautiful secluded spot on the water, while also conveniently located to grocery stores, and a great hiking spot. The owner responded quickly, and checkin was very easy. Everything we expected and more. Awesome long weekend away!

Lovely spot
We really enjoyed out stay at this adorable lake house. It is very convenient to groceries and restaurants. The view is beautiful and relaxing. My teens loved using the kayaks available and we also rented SUP's for the week. We hiked Watkins Glen, Buttermilk Falls and Taughannock Falls which are all very close to the property . The house was clean and well stocked for our stay. Of course there are a lot of stairs but the owner is very up front about that and if you want to enjoy the lake the climb is a must. We all came home a little fitter! Thanks for the great week on the lake!

We had a great time in the sun and water, the property was very well equipped so that our stay was easy and fun. The owner was friendly and responsive - no problems, we highly recommend this property!
