Nestled directly on the slopes of Moonlight Basin with ski-in, ski-out access in the winter and hiking and biking trails just out the door in the summer, 2 Lower Mountain Home lies at the heart of Big Sky’s year-round recreation. Discover restaurants, shops, and resort activities in the nearby Mountain Village, a 5-minute drive away, and the lively Big Sky Town Center, accessible in under 15 minutes. With a fully equipped kitchen and private deck, you may never want to leave home. Surrounded by soaring evergreens with panoramic mountain views from picture windows, this 3-bedroom chalet offers a feeling of escape and tranquility with modern amenities and elegant decor. A great room with vaulted ceilings welcomes you home with two comfy full-length sofas facing a hardwood coffee table, and a wood-burning fireplace with a stacked-stone chimney. A large flat-screen TV provides entertainment for cozy days off the mountain, while a Sonos sound system invites you to fill the space with music. Also in the great room, there are two fireside-style armchairs beside a tulip table overlooking the private deck, inviting conversations over coffee. Just beyond the great room, lies the kitchen and dining area. A dining table seats up to six guests, while a charming breakfast nook adds high-top seating for three additional guests. Hardwood floors, log beams and a unique log chandelier give the dining area a “modern cabin” feel and granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen create a comfortable, place for crafting home-cooked meals. Conveniently located off the living area is the primary suite, styled in elegant mountain decor with a king-sized bed, a stacked-stone gas fireplace with a mounted TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a luxurious soaker tub. The sliding doors lead to a private balcony with views! A guest primary suite, located on the lower level, features a king-sized bed and views of the forested grounds. The third bedroom, also located on the lower level, has a king-sized bed. A kid-friendly loft above the living area offers additional accommodations with 1 queen-sized bed and 1 full bed. This space also offers a full sofa and gaming area with a TV. Outside, a wraparound deck on the main level with a BBQ grill and comfortable patio furniture is great for apres-ski options on blue-bird days or dinners outside on summer evenings. For added convenience, this home also features a laundry room/mudroom with shelving and cubbies for ski gear. A private one-car garage with space for an additional car in the driveway makes it easy to explore restaurants, go shopping, play at the golf course, and other entertainment. Yellowstone National Park is accessible in 2-3 hours. Please be advised that this home does not have air conditioning. For ski-in/ski-out access, follow the snowshoe path from the back deck to Natawista Run. For Moonlight Lodge and the Iron Horse Lift, go right at the first fork and cross the ski bridge onto Bootlegger Run, which leads directly to the lodge and chairlift. For the Madison Village base area, go left at the first fork and stay on Natawista, which will cross a ski bridge and lead to Madison Village. To get home from Iron Horse Lift or Six Shooter Lift, take Lazy Jack to the Cinnabar and Powder River intersection, and continue to the left to stay on Cinnabar. Follow this run and make a right onto Natawista Run, then cross the ski bridge. The access path to 2 Lower Mountain Home is shortly after the bridge on the left! *Early and late season ski-in/ski-out access is condition dependent and may vary throughout your stay. The only reason I give a bad rating for check in process is because we were given the wrong code To get in house. We sat outside the house over an hour in the cold before we could get in. Other than that homemwas very comfortable and enjoyable. I would recommend.

We visited this home in January and LOVED it. Professionally decorated, we loved everything about the house from the beautiful furnishings to the books and fully equipped kitchen. Easy trail access to six shooter lift from the back door, and slightly less easy access to iron horse lift. This house was perfect. Our favorite feature was the master bathroom with heated floors, a large jetted soaking tub, and a shower that doubles as a steam room. Perfect after a long day on the slopes. The hot tub is an added bonus. We had four adults and could have easily accommodated several more people while still feeling large, spacious, and private. Can't wait to visit again next year!

Fabulous visit to Big Sky for my husband's birthday. This beautiful home was clean, cozy and comfortable. We had everything we needed and then some. The convenience to Madison Base was awesome. The views from the great room were wonderful and enjoying the hot tub after a day on the slopes was fantastic! We would definitely love to stay here again!

Awesome mountain home in Moonlight Basin!

Awesome mountain home in Moonlight Basin!

Our family of 5 along with another young family of 5 just returned from 5 days at Big Sky staying in this beautiful home! The bedrooms were very comfortable and the home was nicely appointed. We didn't lack for anything except coffee filters and a DVD player (paper towels & netflix worked fine in a pinch!). Our kids loved the loft area and we used the hot tub daily. The ski out area is a bit flat but a short walk to the bridge wasn't hard for our kids or the adults. We enjoyed our time here a great deal!
