Nestled in Holden Beach, this attractive house for $755 per night is a great option for your next trip. A spacious, comfortable home with beautiful ocean front views inside the gated west end of the island. A private walkway leads to the uncrowded beach out front. Large picture windows on the oceanfront first floor. A beautiful salt-water private swimming pool. Two-levels of spacious outside covered porches deliver ocean views you will remember. The home is basically brand new with an understated coastal vibe on the inside and a new look on the outside. Using a design by a talented Holden Beach-based architect, the house was taken down to the studs, significantly expanded, and completely rebuilt for the 2022 year. The result is 3200 square feet of space with plenty of room to congregate or spread out as the moment suits. There are 6 well-sized bedrooms, 2 down and 4 up, with 6 and 1/2 baths in total. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, with a fully tiled shower and quartz countertops. There are 2 nicely-furnished common rooms, one up and one down, for reading, tv/streaming, games, or quiet time away from the main living area. Occupancy up to 14, with 1 upstairs BR offering 1 bunk bed and a single bed with a trundle bed (total of 4 beds). The other 5 BR’s are fitted with with queen beds. There’s a pack-n-play available as well. The first floor living area has plenty of upgraded space and the comfort you want. The attractive dining area has beautiful views and a table that can be expanded to seat up to 12. The gourmet kitchen is sparkling new to the last detail: new stainless appliances including a high-end induction range from Italy, custom cupboards, and a quartz-topped island with seating for up to 5. Plenty of room for team cooking. The kitchen/dining area and all rooms in the house over a new, attractive wood floor. The house includes 5 TV’s. One in the living area, 1 in each common room, and 1 in a 1st floor BR and 1 in an upstairs BR. Family games are located in the common rooms. Underneath the home is an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water, and there’s an outside shower on the walkway beside the swimming pool. Attractive and efficient laundry room with new appliances on the upper level. Ceiling fans throughout. In the garage area under the home there is a 240V outlet for Electric Vehicle charging (must bring own cord for vehicle). Bed linens provided (Beds in bedrooms only) for weekly rentals. No Towels provided can be rented.

Fantastic Location & Great Space for a Family

We've been to Holden many times, and it was our first staying in an oceanfront place. Being on a more private section of beach was ideal with small kids (only wish the unusually cold weather hadn't prevented us from using the pool). The house had generous-sized bedrooms, plenty of space for an extended family, and the open dining/living space on the main floor was perfect for keeping an eye on small kids while all being in the same place. The downsides were few and pretty easy to navigate—and would be an easy fix for hosting future stays. Like the previous reviewer, we did encounter some roaches inside early in our stay but some all-natural/kid-safe roach spray seemed to handle the problem by midweek. One of the upstairs bathrooms didn't have hot water (the other 2 did, so I don't think it was simply the water pressure). And several of the heavy wooden chairs on the decks were broken (possibly during the hurricane the week before?) and should probably be removed if they can't be fixed. It would also be nice to have a little more glassware in the kitchen. We'd love to be back here because of what a joy it was to have essentially our own stretch of beach while getting easily to and from the house with small kids.

Beach is wonderful, gated community is nice. As a whole it is a nice place. There is several things that need attention. Hot water doesn’t always work in upstairs bathrooms, wear shoes on decking to prevent stubbing toes on nail heads and getting splinters, needs a good bug exterminator (we encountered several large roaches), several window blinds don’t function, mixer in kitchen does not work, several outdoor chairs were broken, deck posts broken, and the gate latch on the rear deck of house not working properly (may be cause of hurricane the week before so I understand if that’s the case). We were very happy to be able to vacation there with the hurricane the week before but for as much as that house cost to rent, some issues should be corrected.
