About this cottage rental
Located in Woodfin, this lovely cottage for $101 per night is a great choice for your next break. Enjoy all that Asheville has to offer from our charming 1930’s bungalow. Recently renovated inside & out this sweet & cozy space features an eclectic mix of vintage, industrial & farmhouse touches. We tried to capture AVL's artistic energy through some of the finishes, artwork and furniture pieces that were handcrafted locally. Two guest rooms sleep up to four people and are comfortably appointed with beds and soft linens that were chosen to delight and encourage some great snuggling. There is a private driveway for one car but for those times that you prefer to leave your car or bike behind, an Uber or Lyft ride to downtown is just $10-12. Less than 5 minutes to Beaver Lake & UNCA, 10-15 minutes to Biltmore Estate, Omni Grove Park Inn, Highland Brewery and Blue Ridge Parkway. There's lots to see and do. Two guest suites – Guest suite one features a luxurious queen-sized upholstered bed and a calm color palette. Guest suite two offers two twin beds with toppers for “sink-into-the-bed” comfort. Twin beds can be pushed together for a king sized retreat. Asheville has an amazing food & beer scene, but if you prefer to eat in, the kitchen is stocked with all the cookware necessary to make a gourmet meal. Butcher block countertops, apron-front sink, handcrafted island with live edges, induction stove top, microwave oven, dishwasher, garbage disposal, Kuerig coffee machine, and toaster. If grilling is your thing, spill out into the large deck and enjoy the spring weather as you barbecue on the gas grill. Ingles Supermarket is less than one mile down the road and Trader Joe’s is close by, too. After a day of exploring and hiking trails, kick back and enjoy the 42" smart TV to stream apps like Netflix and Hulu or use the super fast WiFi on your mobile device. Stylish single shower with dual multi speed shower heads. Our “Little Gem” is in a safe family neighborhood that is up and coming; 10 minutes away from some of the most awesome eateries, breweries and music venues in downtown Asheville. It’s a great base location to explore all that Asheville and the surrounding areas have to offer. FULL DISCLOSURE: The house is situated very close to the highway and as such, there can be road noise. We take the comfort of our guests seriously and have installed sound machines in the guest rooms to help block out ambient noise. The sound machines have various options of “white noise” known to promote sleep. We also provide complimentary wellness amenities that include a lavender scented sleep mask, cushy ear plugs and slippers. If you’re looking for a mountain retreat, this is not the place for you. If you want THOUGHTFUL AMENITIES, CHARMING INTERIORS and a CONVENIENT LOCATION that is central to all that Asheville has to offer, look no further and make your booking now. :-) And finally, we use home automation technology to help us operate more efficiently. The August smart lock and keypad, Nest video door bell, Nest fire and carbon monoxide alarm, and Nest thermostat are all encompassed in the system. The door bell has an integrated camera so that we can answer the door remotely. We respect the privacy of our guests. As such, there are NO CAMERAS IN THE INTERIOR of the house. The only camera is integrated into the bell on the exterior of the house.

The House was so cozy and welcoming. There were snacks and drinks, laundry soap, bathroom necessities and all the comforts of home. The beds were so comfortable and felt like sleeping on a cloud. The slippers at the door were appreciated as well. Communication with the hosts was stellar. An experience we would love to have again. Thank you so much!!

A friend and I went to Asheville for a girls visit to Biltmore Estates. Our stay at the property was perfect! The location was close enough to downtown and Biltmore Estates for an easy drive. Communication with our host was great! Easy parking for one vehicle, but it would be tight parking for two.
The property was thoughtfully appointed and we would stay again!

Came for a cozy Thanksgiving getaway with my two daughters, ages 15 and 10. The house was perfect for us! Plenty of space to be together but comfortable. Very well-appointed, owners accessible, good location. The parking was super tight so glad we didn’t drive or SUV. Would love to stay there again!

The Little Gem Cottage is truly that, a gem! I wouldn't call it little though, as it's a spacious properly with a nice living room and big kitchen coupled with two bedrooms and front and back porches. Everything is well appointed and we look forward to our next time. Thanks Isabel!

This cottage was perfect, my daughter and I loved it, we were celebrating our birthdays, the proximity to downtown Asheville was so convenient. The cottage contained many personal touches, very clean, and comfortable. Would stay again!

Grandmother, daughter and granddaughter enjoyed the location and surrounding area. Great place for the three of us. When parking you just need to be careful, very tight quarters. We would recommend for a small family or close friends. Traffic is noisy, house is quiet.

The weather was beautiful so I got to enjoy reading outside on the swing on the porch. Also, they have a grill we got to use for a dinner which was also very nice! We had a great stay.

Extremely clean, beautifully appointed cottage. Kitchen/eating area easy to work in. Nice furniture on porch and back deck. The one downside is that the parking was tight for our Traverse.

The Little Gem is a little gem. It is clean and comfortable. The kitchen has great space. The bathroom was spotless. We were impressed by the lighting, availability of Kleenex, sound machines in the bedrooms and varieties of coffee and teas. The house is off the beaten path but close enough to everything.

This cottage was absolutely perfect for a girls' weekend! The listing description and reviews provided spot on details of the property. Like others have said, the neighborhood is run down at first glance, but we had no trouble & felt safe. The cottage is wonderful- plush towels, clean, comfortable beds and linens, plenty of hot water and a beautiful shower! Easy drive to downtown while being on the outskirts. I would stay here again!

There were so many thoughtful details in this little gem of a house! It is charming, welcoming, and comfortable. They even provide slippers and a shoe cupboard at the door. (Fortunately, I brought my own slippers to comply with the request to remove shoes.) We did not need the noise machine or the earplugs. The neighborhood, though not the greatest, felt safe, but the next door neighbor parked so close to the driveway (on purpose?) that it was impossible to get out of the tight parking space without heading toward the dead end instead of where we wanted to go. The owners were terrific and gave us a keypad number when we had difficulty with the app for the lock. This place was so conveniently located, we would rent here again.

The home was very well kept and cute as could be. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. My only small complaint was the neighborhood access. It was a little difficult to find and get in and out. Wasn't a big deal.

This property was perfect for a short girls trip to check out ashville for a few days. The listing was accurate to description. It was very comfortable, cute, and cozy. Loved all the little extra touches the hosts offer! Excellent attention to detail for guests! Upon arrival the neighborhood doesn't look to inviting, but it was fine. A little gem, in that neighborhood. Great location for everything we had planned to do. Thank you!

Staying at this home was absolutely wonderful. My girlfriend and I came for her birthday weekend and we could not have been happier. Beautiful home, super clean, very nice kitchen.

Check in was a breeze. The host was kind, prompt, and on top of any questions and concerns. The cottage was in an awesome location to venture out to Sugar Mountain and Asheville. It had all the essentials for staying in as well. We appreciated and loved the added touch of the house shoes, ear plugs, night masks, sound machine, chocolate, snacks and added drinks in the fridge! Would definitely recommend!!!

Pretty inside and comfortable. Thank you for the complimentary goodies you left for us. Parking is tight and non-existent for anyone else visiting you. My only suggestion; use apple cinnamon oil plug-ins to offset "closed up" slight odor of the house. Oh, and "use pan the same size as stove eye" instructions

Really enjoyed our short stay. We appreciated the snacks and coffee. The beds were very comfy and the traffic noise wasn’t an issue for us with the provided noisemakers. It was also very clean. ** Ask owners to turn on heat if you will be arriving late. It didn’t take long to warm up, but it was very cold when we arrived. Not a big deal. I will definitely be back when in the area…sweet, cozy retreat.

This home is so charming! My two sisters and I had a wonderful two night stay and we loved it. The cottage was stocked with all kinds of Kerig coffees and hot chocolate and they provided a tea service and snacks - unexpected but grateful. We had room to hang out and cozy beds to sleep in. We were minutes to Asheville and everywhere we wanted to visit. I recommend this home to anyone visiting the Asheville area!

This little house is adorable on the inside. Perfect for an Asheville weekend. The only downfall of the entire stay was the tight driveway with our full size truck. Other than that, the house was perfect! Would recommend for a couple or small family getaway!
