Just over an hour from Dallas and 12 miles east of Canton, we're in the heart of East Texas and the small towns that have BIG things happening....Edom, Ben Wheeler, Mineola and Lindale to name a few.
Very convenient for the fishermen attending tournaments at the surrounding area lakes like Fork and Tawokani.

Great little hideaway. Owners were helpful and worked with us on extending our stay. Relaxing place to unwind. Fishing pond was an extra bonus. If we are ever back that way would definately stay again!

The stay was great! The cabin is clean. The host is friendly. They give you your space and there if you need them. This was our second time there and we caught way more fish this time.Don't set your pole down it will be gone lol!

My wife and I stayed here for our annual thanksgiving getaway and belated anniversary celebration. It is a great cabin with everything you’d need for a getaway weekend or vacation. We spent the entire holiday weekend at the cabin and never left, as there really isn’t anything to do nearby. And that's OK. That was the point... ‘get outta dodge’, leave our crazy lives behind for a couple days, relax and recharge. We were looking forward to the fishing, as it was one of the main reasons we chose it. We didn’t catch as many fish as we had hoped, but we caught a few (catfish). Two were definitely eating size, but we always catch and release. We used the fire pit a couple of times, which as great. Marshmallows and chocolate were provided for s’mores but we didn’t use them. Other than a cat, we didn’t see any 'critters' around. You can hear the traffic on the road nearby, but honestly we tuned it out and it wasn't an issue. The owner has done an amazing job decorating the place in old vintage signs and memorabilia, which we can definitely appreciate. The owner lives on the property, but far enough away that you didn't know they were there. She was, however, available for anything we needed.Pretty much everything you would need for cooking meals was provided. Overall this is a great place to getaway, chill, do some fishing, and forget about life for awhile. It definitely needs to be on your list of location options. We will certainly consider it for next year's getaway.
