This is a 3 bedroom chalet waterfront on Deer Lake in Wallenpaupack Lake Estates (WLE). Throw a rock from the back deck into the lake- that is how close you are. Deer Lake is a non motor boating lake within the WLE community. Row your canoe to the island or around the lake. Launch it right from the property. Large deck is ground level to the lakefront. Relax on the deck as you watch the kids play lakeside. Enjoy your evenings around the fire pit. House has an open Floor Plan. First Floor has living room, Dining room, and Kitchen. Fireplace. Downstairs has a game room with a foosball table and air hockey table. Upstairs is a split level, one level boasting a masterbed room with ensuite. Top Floor offering 2 bedrooms. Master bedroom has a queen. One bedroom has a queen. Second bedroom has two singles. 2 roll away beds available. Basement game room has a pull out double futon. Walk to Lake Wallenpaupack, indoor pool, the game room, and Deer Lake Beach, pool, volleyball counts from this location! Wallenpaupack Lake Estates includes 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool with a sauna, three lakefront beaches, a game room for kids, snack bar, tennis, volleyball, skate park, marina, and many seasonal activities geared toward families. Explore to discover for yourself. Want to "unplug"? Want to kids to play instead of watching TV? This house does not offer cable TV. Wireless internet provides access to your personal Netflix subscription, etc. if needed. There is no AC, but there are fans in each bedroom. Air flows easily through house with many large sliding doors to lake and windows open. FAQ's: There are two kayaks, a canoe, and a paddleboard for your enjoyment. Life jackets of various sizes are at the house. Propane Grill on deck (propane provided) Linens and towels are provided. Coffee maker is ground coffee. Bring your own condiments :)

Rustic lakefront home in beautiful development with nice community amenities. Home was perfect for our young family and had all of the necessities for a laid back lake vacation. Property owner was responsive when needed and check-in was easy. Home was clean and well maintained. Street was quiet and safe for walking. Private dock was perfect for our days playing in the water. Hope to stay here again!

We were here for my bridal shower weekend, and had a great time. The lake house is right on the water and has everything you need! My nephews loved fishing off the dock, and my stepdaughter enjoyed the kayak and paddle board. It was a bit hot the first day we arrived, as it was 95 degrees and there is no AC, but there was a fan and sliding glass door in each room, which helped to keep the air circulating. The breeze off the lake each night kept things cool. Carolyn was a great host and we would absolutely come back again!

Perfect location, access to the lake right off the back yard. Great place to relax and enjoy the lake view. Plenty of sports and activities available. Kids already called it best vacation ever !

The house was very nice. The rooms were all furnished and decorated with all wood finishes the way you would expect a Lake house to be. The kitchen was nice and well equipped. The property is truly lake front property with a beautiful view of the water from the decks and the stationary dock. It is a great house to rent in a beautiful community. The owner Carolyn was very responsive and a real pleasure to work with when getting the required forms filled out to access the community. I would certainly rent this house again.

I would highly suggest If you are planning to use the basement it would need to be aired out first. The house had plenty of room to accommodate the group and did not need it ! What an amazing view we will be back !!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The kids had a great time fishing and playing on the lake. The views are amazing and after a day of play on the lake, sitting next to the campfire at night under the stars was perfect.

We spent 4 nights with our young boys and some in-laws. Carolyn the owner was great at making sure we had communication. The place is nice and a little rustic but still very convenient. If want relaxing this is the place. The kids didn’t care about TV or games they just enjoyed the lake and fishing from the dock and paddling around. There are no motor boats on the this lake so it’s super quiet and then if you want the big lake experience it is right down the road. Really glad we stayed here.

The screens and smelly carpet haven’t been replaced since the 80’s along with the sliding doors that wouldn’t lock (unsafe) The second floor master bedroom broken window that didn’t close wasn’t fun with the severe storm. I thought I’d be nice and. not write a bad review because I felt bad for the owner until she chose to attempt insurance fraud and try to hold me accountable for damage that has been there for years.

Perfect location!!

Perfect location!!

A beautiful spot directly on Deer Lake. The house is well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay at the lake. My grandchildren absolutely loved fishing every morning while I enjoyed my morning coffee. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot. We are already looking to book this home again.

We were thrilled with our vacation at this beautiful house in a gorgeous setting! Stayed for a week in late May — the weather was perfect. The house is spacious and well-appointed; it had everything we could want and more. The lovely lake is a wonderful backyard — we canoed and swam each day. Nearby parks had fantastic hiking opportunities, and even just walking around the lake and neighborhood was a treat. Each room had picturesque views from windows and balcony, the deck and grill made it easy to enjoy being outside all the time. Extras like the foosball and game room made evenings especially fun too. Can’t wait until our next visit!

This was the perfect getaway that my family needed to just relax and reconnect. The house was much bigger then expected and great location. We were there in the winter and did not use the amenities but were able to play on the frozen lake and build snowmen. The owner was quick to respond when I had a quick question and made sure I was aware of the community and house before our stay. Would definitely stay here in warmer months.

We enjoyed our stay at this lakeside home. Great location which I imagine would be clutch in warmer seasons but was cool to see the frozen lake also (wish we'd brought some skates). House was nice and fully equipped. Nice, open family space with good bedroom/bathroom layout. Owner communication was perfect.

Just what we needed

Just what we needed

Met up with our adult kids for a careful Covid-era get together (we all isolated and then tested to meet up at a central location). While this area is probably much more lively in the summer, it was just right for us for Thanksgiving. The view of the lake from the house is so pretty and serene. The house was spacious, but cozy and comfortable; we did our holiday cooking there and enjoyed firing up the woodstove. Carolyn is an especially good and responsive communicator!

We had a great family trip celebrating a 70th birthday. The home is on the older side but was clean and well organized. My father enjoyed fishing from the back yard and my kids loved kayaking. Overall was a great trip.
