Lovely views from the rooftop and very helpful hosts. They printed some paperwork for me for free, which was very kind of them. Private rooms have balconies also and the neighborhood is very quiet, 10 mins from the airport.

This was my second stay at Yam Yen Hostel, and I'll definitely be back. As a long-distance bicycle traveller, I really appreciate its convenient location near Suvarnabhumi Airport. The staff are always warm and welcoming, making me feel at home from the moment I arrive. A small detail I especially love is how incredibly soft and comfortable the bed sheets are—they make for a great night's sleep before or after a journey.
Because the hostel is so close to Suvarnabhumi Airport, you will hear airplanes taking off and landing, especially at night. That's simply the trade-off for such a convenient location. Just pack a pair of earplugs, and you'll be fine.

The staff are flexible with check in times and also provide transport to the airport for a small fee.
There are no windows in the rooms, so no natural light. We booked a twin room and ended up with a double bed and a single bed, rather than the advertised bunk beds, which is fine apart from there was no duvet or top sheet for the single bed, only a woolly blanket that didn’t look very nice to use and was far too hot given the climate, so we ended up having to share the double bed anyway. We did ask at reception and they said the only option was the blanket which we found very odd. The AC is also not that powerful, but eventually managed to cool the room down. Also be aware there is no lift, so you will need to carry any cases up the stairs or leave them down in reception.
