A VERY SPECIAL HAND-CRAFTED STONE MINI-ESTATE! Extensive multi-level terraces, private covered terraces, a large tropical swimming pool, and tropical gardens! Walls of glass and wrap-around terraces allow breathtaking views, uniting you with Nature at your doorstep. Many varieties of birds and animals, including hummingbirds, parrots, butterflies, iguanas, monkeys, mapaches, even ocelots and other wild cats, coatimundi, armadillos, and anteaters inhabit the surrounding hills and valleys of our private preserve. The huge living area, with high ceilings clad in rich tropical wood, is designed in an open concept featuring a gourmet kitchen with American-style appliances and a breakfast bar with granite countertops. There are 2 King bedrooms – both with 3-piece bathrooms. The Master bedroom opens onto a large adjacent terrace. The 2nd Bedroom also opens onto a large terrace overlooking the tropical gardens. Ideal for lounging, dining, and quiet contemplation – overlooking a private garden and the massive swimming pool below. The Villa is complimented by 4 levels of terraces, a huge swimming pool -(1 of 2 on the property) - and 2 covered ranchos. Paddle fans are placed both inside and outside for extra comfort. IDEAL FOR ENTERTAINING ON A GRAND SCALE! - If more space is required, an additional Suite in the same Villa - (Suite 502, HomeAway listing #4568397) –can also be rented to complement these accommodations. *** Prices are based on the occupancy of 2 persons per bedroom. Any additional guests are $20 per guest per night. Evocative! Great Family Vacation

Evocative! Great Family Vacation

We spent a lot of time considering where to go for our family vacation. After searching through the available listings, we came back to Villas Casa Loma for a special vacation with friends. Since we were a smaller group this time, we chose a different Suite. We are glad we booked this property. Two huge bedrooms with bathrooms, walk-outs to terraces and views that would not quit! The huge kitchen complimented the large living & dining room with views of one of the large pools. The photos did not do the place proper justice! Convenient to supermarket, beaches, shops, restaurants, water and land activities of every imaginable kind. Close by are some excellent medical facilities and dentists, plus a Spanish school. One day we all went fishing on a charter in the morning and finished off the day with a zip line tour. Another day we did a sunset cruise on a catamaran. The ladies in our group enjoyed a day visit to a nearby spa. The guys loved the river cruise with its huge variety of wildlife. Birds, monkeys and turtles were a special joy. We were all fascinated by the butterflies and hummingbirds, too. We were impressed by the variety of excellent restaurants. Some nights we just stayed home and barbequed fresh fish from a local source. The staff was very helpful and tolerated our spotty Spanish with good humour. We cannot thank Tom and Igor enough for their assistance in making arrangements for visits to a doctor on one occasion and to a dentist to relieve a toothache, and for setting us up with excellent tours. Wonderful services. Good tourist infrastructure. A rental car is recommended, especially if you plan visits to National Parks in the area and generally exploring this magic land. We will be back again!

Absolutely Breathtaking!

Absolutely Breathtaking!

The Villa was beautiful and immaculately maintained! Our view was breathtaking. The pool and the grounds were even more beautiful than the pictures showed. Tom and Igor were extremely helpful and full of information. They even purchased drink and snack items for us to have on hand because we were arriving after the stores were closed. We brought 5 of our teen aged children with us. They loved the beaches; great surfing and body boarding.We also enjoyed a sunset horse ride on the beach with George! There were so many fun things to do in the area. There is an amazing bakery just down the road within walking distance. There are monkeys all over the trees around the bakery. All of the local establishments take american dollars, so no need to exchange money at the airport. The area felt very safe and we did not feel concerned for our safety. On another note if you plan on renting a vehicle make sure you know the exact taxes and fees that Costa Rica charges. Our rental vehicle cost three hundred more dollars than our reserved rate. Overall our experience was amazing and we plan on coming back again to stay in the warm hospitality of Villa Casa Loma!! Thank you again Tom and Igor! We look forward to seeing you again! Stephanie

Villas Casa Loma is indeed a beautiful property in a great location, close to many good restaurants, activities and grocery stores by car. The pools are sparkling clean and the manicured gardens are well looked after as are the Villas inside and out. Casa Loma offers spacious accomadations for independent laid back travellers that like all the comforts of home+ Thanks Igor and Tom for sharing your piece of paradise. We hope to be back and would have no hesitation of recommending the Villas to family and friends.
