In the convenient and upscale neighborhood of Forest Park, this completely renovated dream home has every luxury. Located on a quiet, private street with two-car carport just one step into the kitchen and entire main level. Lovely, lush landscaped grounds with private walled garden, grand gourmet kitchen with Alabama White marble countertops, Wolf commercial range, Subzero Refrigerator and large pantry. Breakfast room with seating for 6 and large laundry room off of kitchen. Spacious living room with tons of natural light and gleaming ebony hardwood floors, custom Limestone wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and dining with seating for 6. The home sleeps 9 comfortably. Master suite, two guest rooms and two full baths on the main level and an enormous master suite downstairs with private study with twin sized daybed, room sized walk in closet, large bathroom with over sized soaking tub and separate glass shower, private lavatory closet and double vanities. The homes’ eclectic design is derived from the use of fine antiques, classic reproductions and modern accents.

Our family has rented this house every year for a decade to spend time with our immediate and extended family over the Thanksgiving holiday. Not only is it always clean, comfortable, and stylish, it is extremely functional. Because of the home's layout, there are spaces for big group hang-outs, smaller nooks for intimate conversations, and outdoor areas to play and dine. The kitchen is spacious (and well-equipped) enough to accommodate many cooks, all of which gather here to cook and clean for our big Thanksgiving meal. There's never any fighting over the best bedroom: All have features that work for families with babies, young children, and middle-schoolers. Added to all of those perks, the home's location in the heart of Birmingham is perfect for accessing parks, shopping, and great restaurants. After Thanksgiving day is over, we all feel like our luxurious Birmingham getaway has begun. Looking forward to another decade!

We came into town later than we had intended due to last minute things we had to do in prep for our daughter’s wedding. I had been waiting on an email or some kind of check info to be sent to me as directed by VRBO earlier in the day of check in. I emailed the owner and he got back to me and I realized I had overlooked check in instructions that had been messaged to me by the owner shortly after I booked in February. I quickly called him and he thoroughly went over everything we needed to know about the property. We got to the property and entered without any issues. The house was super clean and so spacious! It was exactly what we needed for the weekend. The house was comfortable and felt like home and the location is awesome. And being pet friendly was so nice! The fenced in backyard was a great asset for our trip. We would stay here again and recommend this property to others. Great house and great memories made!

Our group came in from out of town for the Alabama football game. We've never been to Birmingham, and we feel like we got lucky with this property. It is a good neighborhood, a clean and comfortable house, and 5 minutes from some of the best food I've ever eaten at Saws. It also saved us a lot of money vs staying in Tuscaloosa. I wish we could have received the check-in information via email. I had a bit of a panic attack when I realized I was supposed to call the property owner the day before, and it was the day of and 9 o'clock at night. But Walton answered, we got what we needed, and disasters were avoided.

The property was ample size for our adult party of 8, and was convenient to where we needed to be in Birmingham for the weekend. We were able to easily change our 2 night stay to a 3 night stay by communicating with owner via VRBO. The home and furnishings are dated--the owner did say that there was opportunity to improve the furniture. There were a few details that could be improved related to cleanliness, adequate kitchen equipment (i.e. no baking sheets), hot water not working in upstairs bath vanity. The downstairs area was a very large space, but not real restful with upstairs people moving about and showering. The air conditioning was a little tough to control for comfort of entire house, related to only one thermostat/unit for entire two stories. I am wondering about the non-refundable full payment when we booked also---this is the first property that we have booked that had this. In addition, I would have liked written access and rules/policies; though the owner explained why he does not do this as routine. All in all, we had a nice stay.

We enjoyed this nicely kept property and the amenities it had to offer. The back patio area is quiet and inviting which was a perfect place for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The entire home is large with 2 masters which easily accommodated our party. The large kitchen has plenty of dishes and glassware that made meal preparation a breeze.

We were in town for a wedding. The neighborhood was lovely and the property was perfect. Our party was 4 adults, a 16yo, and a 7yo. We were all very comfortable.

This property was a huge hit with my family; well maintained and decorated, spacious, and with the perfect lay out to gather for meals or drinks among our group of seven adults. House has warmth and charm and is centrally located to most things of interest in the city. Very very nice neighborhood, too. Only feedback about the property is for the owner to please send house instructions in writing..the verbal format is somewhat awkward plus it's cumbersome in terms of sharing the information with others. A few hooks in the bathroom would also be great. In all, I highly recommend the property and would absolutely stay here again, it's perfect for any season or occasion.

We had an amazing time at Walton’s house. It was exactly how it was described in the listing. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. Walton clearly communicated check-in and out instructions. It was the perfect size for our large group and we still had space for visitors to stop by. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would highly recommend this home.

We had a great stay. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 2 teenagers. Very nice and private back patio which opens up nicely to the living room through 2 French doors. The house has a well equipped kitchen and plenty of seating for meals. Great location in a quiet, upscale neighborhood with great access to downtown/UAB and Samford. We were there for our daughter’s graduation from Samford and would definitely recommend this home.

Exactly as described. The house was perfect for our family gathering. House was beautiful, clean, convenient. Excellent choice for our group! Highly recommend! It would have been nice if owner would provide check in/out procedures via email instead of having to call, so we could refer back to procedures, in writing, as needed.

The property was very close to Highland Park Golf Club and lots of great eating spots. We were there for a Hickory Golf Tournament. It was a great stay. The house is decorated with great style. Bathrooms were spotless and water pressure was great! Loved the patio area. It gave the 5 of us our own luxurious spots for privacy and rest. Communication and direction were excellent. Would stay there again.

Our family stayed at this beautiful home for our daughter’s wedding. The amenities were perfect and we immediately felt at home when we arrived. We hosted a beautiful bridesmaid luncheon that was able to host everyone comfortably and many wonderful memories were made.. The convenience of the location was such an asset to all the wedding festivities of the weekend.

We took a trip for the weekend and this place was perfect. Located near a bunch of stuff, made it easy to get around and stay occupied. The place is clean and well appointed. Really great place, everything we needed.

My family rented this house while in town for a wedding. It is close to so many great restaurants and bars. It was a large house with ample space. The kitchen is super nice, and there are plenty of spots to sit around and visit with the family.

Our group of girlfriends have stayed at this property for 5 years and love it! Of course through the years, it has shown some wear but Walton has made some improvements and Celia, his housekeeper does a wonderful job with upkeep! We wholeheartedly recommend staying here! Just not during OUR weekend!

Overall a fantastic place for a large group. Plenty of comfortable beds, bathrooms, and parking. Well decorated and a convenient location! Only two negatives- bring your own clothes hangers and toiletries if possible, and I had a little trouble getting in touch with the host for check in.

We rented this place to visit our children. It was spacious , clean. The owner was honestest about the downstairs and upstairs baths backed up. But eventually drained. The house is dated but very comfy. The beds need to be updated as they are toooo soft from wear. Overall great time. We would stay again ❤️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were in town for a wedding but the “talk” of the weekend was all about the beautiful property we were lucky enough to get!!! I can not say enough about this place. A designers showcase! Perfect!!!
