The cabin offers two bedrooms and two full baths with a futon and full bed on the lower level game room for additional sleeping. You will enjoy beautiful mountain views from the spacious wrap-around decks with gas grill, hammock, and rocking chairs. The full kitchen has everything you need for a romantic dinner for two or a family feast. The living room has a 32' television with satellite programming, DVD library, Wi-Fi Internet connection and a cozy gas fireplace. Everything was as explained in listing. Kitchen is well stocked. Neighborhood is quiet. We only saw 3 cars in 5 days. View is amazing and it is nice to have enclosed deck for dogs.

This is a beautiful cabin that is well stocked with everything you need. Very comfortable and cozy. It was decorated for Christmas when we went - we just got home today. We didn’t want to leave!!! We’ve stayed in a lot places but this has been the best by far!!!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cabin. Perfect layout for us, our daughter & son-in-law and their infant daughter. Private, with lovely view from the wrap-around porch. Well stocked with everything we needed. Easy access to restaurants, grocery store and walking trails. The Flowering Bridge is a must see!

Plenty of room for us and the dogs. We loved the upstairs bedroom and the giant window! The backyard is a little wonky but the dogs didnt seem to mind running up and down the hill. We grilled and cooked, thanks to the stocked kitchen. The winding roads were a little nerve racking, but we only came across one other car the entire week. Great location if you're looking for privacy (or your dogs bark at everything)!
Great running trail about a mile away at the Greenspace office. We also paddleboarded around Lake Lure. Everywhere we ate was delicious!
We already recommended the house to our friends and family, and we can't wait to come back!

Our family of five and three dogs had the most wonderful time at the Silver Tree cabin. It is exactly as described and very well stocked with anything and everything needed. Great communication from the hosts and very easy to access. The decks are so enjoyable and the area is very peaceful. The downstairs game room was a huge hit with our three children and the dogs loved the backyard. We hope to return next year!

This cabin is on the older side and is showing its age. While everything was clean and tidy, there are places where the decks no longer feel solid and the gates for the front have issues with the latches coming out due to loss of wood from repeated tightening of the screws. The stairs to the back yard are much steeper than expected and were difficult to traverse, even with the grip lines the last section was very slippery from the sandy dirt around the steps. The location is great, many food choices to dine out and a fantastically large grocery store less than ten minutes away. The fence was secure but due to the steps and the incline my dogs were not willing to play outside.

Great location and excellent communication from the host. We really appreciated all the information Wayne offered about places to walk and hike with dogs and even where we could take them to swim in Lake Lure. Our dogs really enjoyed the swimming. We also enjoyed the winery visit her suggested- beautiful setting, good food and wine.

The cabin is private but close enough to restaurants and things to do. It is roomy and well maintained. Wayne has provided lots of considerate extras that make staying there convenient and easy. It is very dog-friendly...our lab and Frenchie thoroughly enjoyed it. The pontoon boat tour of Lake Lure is a must do.

Family went for a short 4 day trip and had a great time. Cabin was great, older, but was perfect for us. Well stocked and clean. For future boaters, there really isn’t a parking place for a boat, but Wayne was accommodating and allowed us to park in a different area. It is windy, mountain road, so a boat in the winter would be hard too! The town is nice and the cabin was not far from the lake and Chimney Rock. A chain grocery was not far either and this was great when you realize you forgot something for the trip! We also brought our dogs and there is a fenced in area in the backyard which was great. Small, older dogs may have a harder time due to the decline from the cabin, but that was not a big deal as we just picked her up to bring her in. Overall, nice stay and would return!

Outstanding visit to Lake Lure. The property is perched on top of a small mountain and you feel like your miles away, but in reality you are extremely close to town. Definitely would stay again and recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. Location was easy to find and description online was accurate. I will reiterate the backyard is quite steep. It is on a mountain so we knew this going into it and it was great for our 3.5 year old dogs. But it may not be ideal if you have older dogs or for older individuals. I'm 40 and wasn't walking down the hill. But again, simply having a fenced in area for the dogs to have was still perfect. We felt safe the entire time and the neighbors we did encounter were all kind and waved as they passed by.

We really enjoyed our time at Silver Lake. It rained everyday but there was enough entertainment at the house to keep us busy. The arts, games and movies were so much fun. Kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of beds for all 5 of us. Can’t wait to come back.

Our only complaint is there were quite a few dog droppings from previous tenants. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again! Thanks for a nice quiet weekend!

My favorite place to stay! Very clean, relaxing and quiet. Got to go horseback riding this trip. Starlight loved the yard!! Wayne and Betty Jo are perfect hosts!

We left the frozen Tundra of Minnesota the beginning of January and stayed at the cabin for 100 days. Wayne tells us we are the record holders now for the longest stay, but it went way too fast. We went hiking everyday exceipt for the three days it rained too hard. Loved Chimney Rock and there is a dog park close by at the Bill's Mountain Community Center on Bill's Mountain. Breakfast and lunches at the Victory Cafe are not to be missed. We golfed several courses, but likes Meadowbrook the best. The barbequed ribs at La Strada are fantastic! Be sure to roadtrip to Tryon, Landrum, and Saluda. The fireplace made the evenings perfect. Plenty of room for the two of us and our dog, Andi. Tuxedo, the neighborhood doberman makes his rounds of the cabins everyday and he is quite friendly--don't be afraid when you meet him.The city golf course has been changed to green space hiking trails, but as I write this, there is a group of investors trying to buy it and bring it back to life after a year and a half of closure. It was built in 1927 and I hope they can make it happen. We stayed long enough to see Spring in the mountains and it is beautiful!

Our family group of 4 adults and 4 kids ages 6-13 came into town for a Spartan Race and were very comfortable in this cabin, which is only 25 minutes from Tryon Equestrian Center. Communication with the host was quick, easy and pleasant, and the cabin had all the amenities we could have asked for. Surprisingly for a pet friendly property, there was no animal hair nor trace of animal scent to be found! The gas fireplace, private location and beautiful Mountain Views were fantastic! We would definitely consider staying here again.
