Nice trip.

The costumer service was 10/10. Any time I had any questions, Carolina cabins answered my emails very quickly. The property itself was somewhat of a disappointment. Like other reviews have stated, it wasn’t as clean as I expected (especially for something in that price range). The shower curtains were stained, food left on kitchen utensils, etc. It is definitely in need of some deep cleaning. In one of the bedrooms, the headboard wasn’t even attached to the bed. A lamp in that same bedroom didn’t work unless you tweaked it just right to turn on. Everything was pretty outdated and the flat screen tv’s were a joke- one being the size of a tiny computer monitor in the loft. Something else that was also interesting, was that we couldn’t find any cleaning supplies. Like a broom for example- to sweep crumbs off of the floor. Nevertheless, the location was amazing. It was so nice to be so close to the slopes. It accommodated all of us and we had a great family vacation.

Overall we loved the property. Stayed with 2 families...plenty of space and easy to slopes. House needs a deep clean and some TLC but would stay again. Pictures are accurate but may make home seem larger than expected but again worked fine for our group.

This place was great for our Family & the kids friends and girlfriends! We loved the fireplace in the evenings as we all gathered in the den & around the table playing cards. The slope wasn’t as close as we had hoped due to lack of snow we had to walk quite a was to get to the slopes. Deer visited daily in the back & front yards. Kitchen was well stocked and the home had everything we needed. I agree with another guest that states about the exhaust fan not working bc owners chose not to replace overhead microwave so every morning fire alarm woke everyone in the house up when cooking bacon. Other than cleaning crew not cleaning prior to our arrival sticky stuff all over coffee table & cobwebs in kitchen & living room we had a great stay. Good beds & shower water pressure!

This house was everything and more! We were right on the mountain and could walk on the boardwalk to snow. We had deer and rabbits in our backyard and the electric fireplace was amazing. It was just as advertised! We will definitely be back.

The only problem was that we had a ton of snow with no snow shovel! Also, floor mats at each inside entrance would be nice, as well as access to a mop to dry up water since we had people in and out most of the day. The house was clean and cozy! It was a great location and I would definitely stay there again!

perfect place!! the location of the cabin is excellent. we loved the place and the service from Caroline Cabin Rentals. we were very well attended from the booking until our departure.

Location was awesome -- the boardwalk to the slope was easy and fun for all - spoiled now with the ski in and out house!! The beds were comfortable, good pillows. The bathrooms were clean. Only negative is the kitchen. The built in microwave doesnt work instead of replacing it they have added a countertop microwave. This means there is now no vent/fan - I never realized how much cooking on the cooktop creates a need for a vent/hood -- The pots and pans need a good scrubbing. one wasn't even usable and others had to be scoured before we could use them. The 2 under cabinet carousels and the items on them need a good hot water elbow grease scrub down. Also - not a dutch oven to be found -- nothing large enough to boil enough pasta for a houseful. The dishes, utensils, glassware, etc. was all great!!!! The rental agency is quick response. We will come be back!

Enjoyed staying right on the mountain for a fall family get-away. Great access to biking and hiking. House was nice, smaller than it looked in the pics but fine for a family of 4 for a week. There have been many updates since prior bad reviews -- kitchen is well stocked, newer sofas and kitchen tables, so no complaints there. Beds were comfy. Had a few glitches (bad microwave, fireplace) but property manager resolved these quickly. Would have been nice to have a better view and some other amenities like a hot tub or fire pit, but no complaints especially at the price point. Recommended for a good lower-frills stay.

I had called carolina cabin rentals to make sure the property had a way for our elderly mothers to be able to access the home. I was assured there was a walkway they could go around to get to the back of the house. So i rented it. Upon our arrival, the walkway was VERY overgrown and inaccessible. OUr mothers had to go up the stairs. My mother is 87 and has bad knees and my mother in law is 81 and has had hip replacement and cant lift her legs very well. Needless to say i was very disappointed. Our mothers took their time and stopped a few times up and down the stairs. I called CCR on Tuesday am to let them know the walkway was overgrown. They assured me they would look into and get back to me. Well all day Tuesday i never heard anything and when we got back from our day out, the walkway was still not cleared. So I called and spoke with someone else and again i was told they were looking into it and it was a third party company and they were trting to get a hold of someone and they would call me back the next day. Well they did call and leave me a voicemail that the landscapers were on the way. So we thought by the time we got back from riding the parkway, the walkway would surely be cleared....... NOPE that was not the case. They had not shown. Our checkout was on Friday morning and as we were loading van to leave, low and behold, the landscapers showed up! Didnt do us any good, we were leaving. I called CCR to tell them the landscapers had finally showed up but we were leaving and we would discuss my rental fee once i got home. I called saturday and asked for a reduction in my rental payment. They did discount me $100. I appreciate that but i feel they could have done more to help me out with our elderly mothers. Also, the chalet wasnt as clean as it should have been. The stove was dirty, the floor were dirty, and bathroom that joined the two bedrooms had an odor. I can only hope it was disinfected before we got there. We did take Lysol spray and wipes with us. Also, the light plugs need to be fixed/replaced in some areas and some tightened because they are loose. The head board in the king bedroom needs to be tightened too. It was loose. The wall plug behind it doenst have a face on it. That can be dangerous. The chalet itself is nice but needs some maintenance pretty badly. A ramp up to the chalet would be a nice addition. Those who cant climb stairs too well would really appreciate it.

Very convenient to the slopes and everything as advertised. 2 trash bags and 2 detergent pucks for the dishwasher were not enough to cover 6 days. One issue we had and felt it could be avoided was a pair of pressure washers showed up for about 12 hours of pressure washing with a motor... for most of the day Saturday and part of the day Sunday. It did not contribute to the peace my wife was seeking for the weekend.

It was a family vacation , we had a great time, location was great ,house had everything we needed, very easy first time access , good follow up from company.

Nice house, clean and welcoming, nice location. Overall we really enjoyed the house. We had perfect ski weather, hated to leave. There were some issues that could be easily fixed. We difficulty getting in the first day due to an issue with the keypad but property management was very responsive and helpful. Sofas are pretty worn out. Outside lights around front door did not work, making for difficult entry had to use our phone to light keypad. The heat went off when tried to use microwave, flipped breaker and just never used microwave again. Not enough table space for 7 people to eat. Would have been nice to have a TV in each bedroom. Thank you for letting us stay!!

Excellent property. Well maintained, great location, updated bathrooms, comfortable beds. Couldn't ask for better at that price. Thankyou very much for allowing us to stay there we had a great time.

This property was perfect for our family of 5 in our first trip to Beech Mountain. The location was perfect to visit Fred's General Store and all the restaurants atop of the mountain. Just a short drive down to Banner Elkand other restaurants along with a Food Lion.The beds were all great, the remodeled kitchen was nice and a gas fireplace to die for. The property was quiet and full of deer around every curve. We all had a great time.

this is not a very good property...no outside deck chairs...poor mattress in one bedroom...one of the dining table chairs has a very wobbly let and is dangerous to sit in...would not rent again

The Blue Heaven Chalet was a really pretty location, everything was clean and the size fit well with our family. For winter visitors, the easy walk to the lodge and town will be ideal. The upgrades in the bathroom and kitchen were nice. Internet and cable service worked well. The yard does need some attention. The gas logs did not work, and there were a couple of maintenance items that need to be addressed-weather stripping at the back door and a loose chair leg. The boys were disappointed that the Wii did not work as there were either parts missing and/or a cut cord. It would have been nice to have a binder with local information.

Absolutely the best cabin on the mountain! Can't wait for next time!
