Great location, met the host who was very friendly. The apartment was dirty. There was used soap in the shower. Lots of dust on baseboards. The fridge needed defrosting. There were only two large towels and no where to properly dry them. The curtains looked dirty and blinds were worn out. Furniture was just okay. It lost rating for cleanliness and furnishings.

Right on the water.. quick access to porto.. 5 minutes walking.. great value for the money.. lots of restaurants and entertainment on both sides of the river

This property was a great fit for my family. We felt comfortable and at home. The location is wonderful. There is so much to be seen and explored. All within walking distance. The parking space was a plus and so was the complimentary bottle of port wine. Check-in was easy and the hosts were kind and responsive. We'd love to stay again in the near future.

Paulo and Maria were wonderful hosts! There is a window in the kitchen and in one of the bedrooms that look over the Douro River. It is a fabulous view. The property is right on the river in Gaia… lots of restaurants within 5 minutes, and you can walk over the bridge and be in Porto in 4 minutes. The location could not have been better for my stay. The hosts were very easy to get in touch with. If you go, visit San Marino restaurant in Gaia and take a water color class from Hugo do Lago…. such an amazing experience.

Bel appartement bien situé et à 10min de marche de Porto centre. Quelque peu bruyant, l'appartement est toutefois tout près des restaurants, boutiques et du pont Luís.

Beautiful river views, congenial hosts and easy access to all of Porto, what more could you want!?! Maria and Paulo are excellent hosts with a great property and you will be hard pressed to find a better place to stay on the Gaia side.

The apartment was very well located and had views of the river from two rooms. Several of the restaurants on the river bank below were excellent. Highly recommended.

positiv: zentrale Lage zum Douro und den Restaurants etc., kurzer Weg nach Porto, Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter und die Abwicklung (Schlüssel etc.), Blick aus dem Küchenfenster und aus einem der Schlafzimmer negativ: extrem laut an einer Durchgangsstraße, sehr unangenehmer Geruch aus dem einen Bad (und damit leider auch im Schlafzimmer), deutlich kleiner als im Inserat beschrieben (das sind niemals als 80 qm), insgesamt nicht sehr gepflegt, Terrasse direkt an der Straße und ohne Möblierung (bis auf eine Plastikbank) ist nicht nutzbar Fazit: wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt und würden die Wohnung nur für sehr anspruchslose Gäste empfehlen ... schade!

Un appartement idéalement situé au pied du pont.. Vue superbe sur le Douro parking à proximité qui permet de poser la voiture en arrivant et de faire toutes les visites à pieds.... On a profité au maximum du beau temps et de la beauté de Porto

Nos alojamos 4 personas en el apartamento, y aunque no es muy grande, estuvimos cómodos. Los muebles no son de mucha calidad pero son funcionales. Lo mejor la ubicación. Con vistas al río desde el apartamento. La chica que nos atendió a la llegada, muy atenta y agradable.

We had a great stay a Vila Nova de Gaia. Apartment is ideally situated, clean and confortable for 2 couples. If you have a car, the free and secure parking adds a huge value. You'll just park your car there and walk for the rest of your stay. It has a great view and is close to restaurant and anything you'll want to visit. Porto city center is only a short walk away (15min) but you'll have to go up some stairs as the apartment is down by the river. The Teleférico de Gaia is also available the reach the top. For the light sleepers, make sure to bring some ear plugs as the area surrounding the apartment is quite noisy at night. Overall, we had a great stay and we would definitely recommend this apartment.

The location is perfect...you are steps from the waterfront and port houses. The apartment is clean and modern with enough room for 4 as each bedroom has its own bathroom. Very thoughtful gift of port and chocolates left for us. Highly recommend

Lejligheden ligger perfekt med en fantastisk udsigt til Dourofloden, den gamle bydel i Porto og Louis den 1. Bro. Fint køkken, soveværelser og 2 badeværelser. Perfekt. Ligger lige midt i det gamle portvinsområde i Gaja. En perle og vi kommer gerne igen ;-)
