I really didn’t want to write this review as my stay at this property went well, for the most part. I chose this property for my 30th birthday weekend. Before even arriving to the home I was warned by the property owner that I may be approached by security in the neighborhood or police, I should have taken this as a negative sign. He also advised me not to mention anything about the home being a rental property and to tell anyone that I am a friend of the owner just staying for the weekend. After arriving I noticed an eye sore of a “no trespassing” sign on the door which immediately raised a red flag. The home was beautiful and very clean however the pool was freezing cold. When I called to ask about heating the pool he told me it would be an additional amount. This would have been fine if I had known before hand. In my opinion, this is a detail that should be worked out prior to guests arriving as a pool takes a long time to heat. I told him that we would be ok without heating the pool. Everything was going well until the following night when security arrived at the front door with an apparent noise complaint, there was no music outside and we had all the windows and doors closed. There was no way anyone could hear us from surrounding properties. The security advised that quiet hours were after midnight, we assured him we would be quiet and he left. The following night after enjoying a catered dinner for my birthday I received a knock at the door again, this time from the security and a police officer. It was 11pm. the first question was “who owns this property” I allowed my husband to speak to them and after explaining the situation I was written a noise complaint ticket. Again, our level of noise was nowhere near anything that would require a complaint. At this time there were 9 people on the property including me. It became obvious that the issue was not the noise but the fact that this property owner is obviously running an illegal vrbo and this must happen to all guests. After returning home I received an email stating that I would not be given back my deposit for reasons not given to me or a itemized receipt. I wish I could write more on this review but my available word amount is running out. All in all this property was beautiful but not worth the headache that came along with it. You WILL be approached by security and charged for things not explained in the details of this property.

We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving. The home is well appointed and very tastefully furnished. Can't wait to be back in spring/summer to enjoy the huge backyard and pool.
