Great for a family get away or romantic holiday. This sun drenched property includes the most spectacular views and sunsets imaginable. The cottage blends old world charm, with all the modern conveniences. The 1650 sq foot cottage has been lovingly restored including the original floors and open beamed ceilings. Million dollar views from every window! The cottage sleeps 4. Comfy beds and soft pillows to make sure you get a good nights sleep! Directly behind the cottage are ocean tidal pools perfect for a swim in the revitalizing Atlantic Ocean. Peggy's Cove Cottage is the ultimate in views, convenience, and a fantastic location. There are also some beautiful walks in the area and so close by! We are a 5 minute drive from Ryers Lobster pound where you can buy fresh lobsters and seafood for a great Maritime feast!! The nearby Rhubarb restaurant has great reviews and fresh food to offer,HIGHLY recommend it !! A booking in advance is recommended! A truly magical holiday experience awaits. We had such a wonderful time at this wonderful, lovely cottage by the sea. We loved the historic charm of this beautiful home! Claire is the kindest, friendliest, most helpful host ever! The location is outstanding and the view out of every window looks like a picture postcard. Peggy's Cove is the quintessential seaside fishing village and we loved every minute of our time there. We would love to come back and stay again!

We loved staying in this little cottage in Peggy's Cove. Perched along a narrow inlet surrounded by amazing views out every window. This cottage was like a little slice of heaven for our family of four. To be a part of this little working fishing village was seriously magical. The cottge is well equiped with everything you could possibly need to make you feel at home during your stay. Claire, the owner was as sweet as could be and made us feel very welcome in her home and Peggy's Cove in general. We've stayed in a lot of beautiful places over the years, but none of them came close to this charming coastal village.

We had a wonderful time at this beautifully decorated little gem- it was the highlight of our Canadian vacation! The bedrooms and living areas were super comfortable and super charming, and the location couldn't have been better. How fun to start each day with coffee on the deck overlooking the cove, or a walk to the lighthouse and back. Would definitely stay here again!

Situated on top of a hill, this property was perfectly placed for a beautiful view of the fishing port with extensive lawn going down to the port. A short walk up the road was the lighthouse with its rocks to walk and explore.
The owner could not have been more welcoming and made us feel like family.
The cottage was cozy and beautifully reflected the feel of the quaint village in which it is located.
The photos give an accurate picture of the coziness and comfort of the cottage and the decor beautifully reflects the maritime environment.

This was a magical little spot right in the heart of Peggy’s Cove. You can’t beat the view! Claire was a great host, super attentive and responsive to messages. We ran into Claire in Peggy’s Cove and she gave us great suggestions for hikes and activities to do in the area. We so enjoyed our time at the cottage and would go back in a heartbeat.

A couple of U.S. guys shared this (3) bedroom cottage as a home base for photographing the Nova Scotia coastline and scenic areas of the southeast and north central coasts. It proven to be an excellent choice in all respects. The cottage is beautifully located on a nice rise in the landscape of Peggy's Cove and has great views of the village. The village is small and you can walk everywhere from this location.......to the shops, restaurants, church, lighthouse and water. It has (2) nice size bedrooms and a third small bedroom, full kitchen and living and dining area as well as a small back porch to watch the sunset over the village. It's comfortable, decorated nicely and perfect for a quiet and relaxing stay in what proved to be a really nice vacation in a quaint and scenic Nova Scotia traditional village.
It's location in the village is quite central and Peggy's Cove is located such that you can easily travel to Lunenburg or Halifax or beyond for day trips to lots of other beautiful locations, villages and scenic drives.
The owner(s) of the property (Claire and her husband) were great in accommodating us and very gracious in answering all our questions, supplying us with local information and details on sights, restaurant locations, groceries and other information for first time visitors.
There are lots of positives about the property and it would be ideal for couples or small families. Downsides would only apply to exceptional considerations: I would not recommend it for people with mobile disabilities (i.e. wheel chair, walkers, etc.) as the terrain is uneven (it sits on a rise/hill overlooking the village) and getting from the parking spot to the entrance would be tricky. This is actually part of the character of the property and the entire town/village as a whole.
Overall, a great choice as we had a terrific time staying here. Were very comfortable and easily commuted everywhere we wanted to go and enjoyed a great relationship with the owners. A five star recommendation from a seasoned traveler and first time visitor to Nova Scotia!

Fabulous Views, Terrific Hosts, Exceptional Charm!
Claire & Paul's remodeled house is truly one-of-a-kind. It's perfectly situated in lovely Peggy's Cove. The views of the village, lighthouse, and ocean from the front windows are like looking at a large oil painting of a post-card perfect scene. You'll fall in love with the inhabitants of the town as you wander the streets and chat with them each day. Everyone is so warm, friendly, and eager to share their stories! Also, the remodel of the house is quite remarkable. Claire and Paul transformed an old tired house with a ton of external charm into a cozy nest with all the modern conveniences you will need. But, perhaps the best feature of this property is the owners. Paul and Claire are truly wonderful people. They were remarkably attentive to our needs. You will enjoy staying at this rate gem!

Cottage with a view
Peggy’s cabin is a beautiful cottage overlooking Peggy’s Cove! We spent several evenings on the back deck enjoying the view. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The sitting area was spacious and comfortable. The only difficulty for us was managing the stairs to the bedroom and bathroom. That’s because we are in our 70s and not as agile as we once were. However, we had a nice stay and Claire stayed in touch to make sure we were well cared for!

I don’t think I’ve ever been more touched by any other place as this . The cottage was beautiful the people were all so friendly and I can’t say enough about the owner Claire. Loved her ❤️ The view from the cottage was a postcard worthy sight . I already miss it !

We had a wonderful time in Peggy's Cove. Claire was an amazing host, easy to reach, answered our questions. Her recommendations for places to eat were spot on. We had vehicle trouble and her husband recommended Homestead just 10 minutes down the road. They fixed our problems quickly. Everyone we met were very friendly. We highly recommend this cottage and host.

Heart Warming
Anyone looking for a vacation home is setting the foundation for memories. Claire's cottage is the ideal aesthetic for a Nova Scotian experience. Clean and beautiful with touches of love adorning every room without being clutterd. A great base for driving trips to Lunenburg as well as the Kejimkujik National Park. On rainy days we stayed inside enjoying the best view of Peggys Cove. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. I thought one bathroom for 5 people would be challenging but it worked out well. There was plenty of hot water! The best part of this cottage is the owner. She is so attentive to ensuring you have a great stay. Thank you Claire for a lovely cottage vacation that my family will never forget! XOX

Magical stay in a magical location
Claire was a wonderful host in this charming, rustic & cozy cottage!! Our every need was met & being in the heart of Peggy's Cove with such an amazing view of the Harbour & lighthouse, we walked minutes to a beautiful sunset almost every night! The fireplace kept us cozy on the rainy days!!! Great location for a peaceful getaway yet driving distance to surfing, biking & City if Halifax! We will return & highly recommend it! Peaceful retreat
I've experienced many VRBO properties throughout the years but none with the personality of this one. The home itself, the wonderful community and of course, the lighthouse all contribute to a sense of ease and an ability to disconnect, decompress and just enjoy the surroundings. Everything you need is in the house -it's immaculately kept and the owner is a wealth of local knowledge and very pleasant to talk to. I'd happily return again if the opportunity presented itself and if you're considering coming, I'm sure you'll be just as pleased as I was.

Wonderful Week in a Beautiful Location
We stayed for a week (my husband and I and 2 grown children) at the end of July, beginning of August. I am so glad that we chose to stay at this beautiful, charming cottage! We drove in quite late at night so couldn't really see where we were, but when we woke up in the morning to the beautiful cove, we were so happy with our choice. The cottage is well equipped and in such a great location. It is about a 30 minute drive to Halifax, which made it perfect for day trips in the city and then we were able to come back to the quiet, peaceful beauty of Peggy's Cove. The beds are so comfortable. I think even more comfortable than my bed at home! The cottage has everything you need. It is beautifully renovated and decorated, while at the same time, keeping the charm and integrity of the original cottage. We ate lobster rolls a few times down the hill at The Maritime Pasty Shop and they were incredible. Best we had while in Nova Scotia. Claire is the most wonderful, attentive host. It was such a treat to meet her when we realized that it is Claire who owns the hot dog stand down the hill from her property! Claire is warm and welcoming and very easy to deal with. If you are contemplating staying at this cottage, I recommend highly that you do. You will not regret it! I am hoping that at some point in the future, we will have the opportunity to return. Thanks again for everything Claire!
