Views were spectacular. Bed and pillows were so comfy. Really loved the balcony.
Staff were friendly. Housekeeping were excellent.
Great hourly train down to Montreux.
Nice walks from hotel.
Had 2 evening meals, on the whole nicely presented but very expensive. However having the meal on the terrace was memorable.
Husband sent an email to inform hotel that the stay was special as it was my 60th birthday treat. Also to ask if we could arrive an hour earlier. No response and no recognition when arrived. When we arrived where you park is unclear and we accidently parked in private spaces. This was quickly rectified. No one at reception or welcome to the hotel, so had to go searching for a member of staff.
Breakfast is basic, chaotic and flies on cheese, bread and pastries which aren't covered.
Only one member of staff covering breakfast and everyday had to wait for him to restock bowls, cutlery, glasses, yoghurt, scrambled eggs well there were several items missing every day. Need a 2nd member of staff. Only having a cup of tea and cereal and yoghurt when you're paying premium prices is not acceptable.
Kettle in room, no where to plug in safely on the top of a writing bureau and ended up boiling kettle on sink in bathroom. Not ideal

Spacious and open with many areas.
Paper cups in the bedrooms and total absence of welcome or being made to feel welcome on arrival (and departure). More as if we were disturbing their day by arriving (moreover we got an eye roll ‘oh, you booked with Booking?’ - but there was no welcome even before that realization), by being there for breakfast, by checking out… The serving staff (bar and resto) were great. The management less so.
