Excellent facilities and helpful staff, very good restaurant and breakfast.

Breakfast was good. Room was a little small for the size bed, but all in all no issues. Very nice location and very quiet. Ample parking and outside space for drinks and food. Air conditioning was working perfectly during our stay which was great as it was a hot spell. Bathroom was spacious and the shower was just lovely and powerful. Everything was very clean and smelled nice.

The service was a little slow despite there not being lots of people., but 1 might have thought the other was attending to us.

The young women who work in the restaurant unfortunately do double duty and it is not fair on them.There is no separate reception. They have no time to do both. I was given some vague instructions, where the bicycle shed was. I could not find it in the dark. The key for the room did not work. After one day I could lock it from the outside but not the inside. I was asked to leave at check out time on a Monday which was fine if I had known the hotel was going to close for a day or more. I felt I was being thrown out by the manager? Not sure really who is was.

Charming, rural hotel about 6 miles from Steenwijk station. It's a 10 minute walk to a museum about the region and a 15 minute walk to a bike rental which is also open on Sunday. Beautiful dining room with great food. Very helpful staff. Went out of their way to get me a taxi on Sunday night.

Cannot think of anything major. A bit far if you travel by public transportation or taxis.

Room was very small. No minibar in the room. Mattress way too soft.

Superb location if you like a quiet place in the midst of wonderful parks and nature surroundings for walking and cycling. Super friendly staff, great dinner.

It’s situated in a historic building, but all the comfort is there. People are very friendly and the decorations are nice, we felt at home. We had a good dinner in their restaurant. We will visit again!

We loved the location, there is alot of history in the area that we weren't aware of. Lovely, quiet location but still not too far out of the way. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to eat at the restaurant but from what we saw, the menu looked lovely. Breakfast was ok......the on site bakery was great but the breakfast selection was typically dutch (meaning lots of bread).

As above, we would have liked to see a bigger breakfast selection.....at the end of the day you are paying extra for it.
