A lovely small hotel in a quiet hutong by the beautiful lakes of Shichihai. Traffic outside is mainly bicycles and electric scooters with parents taking their kids to school and very few tourists. It's a few minutes walk to find places where locals eat and shop so you can avoid tourist prices. Our premium room was a very good size with spacious bathroom too. Free tea and coffee in lobby was very welcome as was fridge in room. Strolling from the hotel around the hutongs, the local park and the lakes was both fascinating and relaxing. Felt we got a glimpse of genuine, traditional Beijing.
Food options in hotel are limited and expensive compared to what you'll find exploring outside. Bed was very firm, bit too firm for me.

The staff was super awesome . The young lady and young man at the front are super awesome! The location is very cool right in the Hutongs.
The Bed ! I am not picky or a complainer but the bed was solid as a rock . Felt I was sleeping on the concrete floor 😔.

Charming and peaceful hotel with lovely staff. The quiet location within the hutong, close to the lakes, feels very authentic and close to people's daily lives. Short walk to a mini-market, 5-minute walk to McDonald's, 10-minute walk to shops and restaurants, and a 20-minute walk to the Drum Tower. Most DiDis took us all the way to the hotel, even through the narrow streets. I can absolutely recommend this place. Don't forget to watch the shadow puppet theater!

The hotel common areas and dining room were beautifully decorated and appointed, tasteful with beautiful art. Good location close to beautiful lake and park. Staff were friendly and helpful although a bit too solicitous at times. Sad to miss the shadow puppet show!
The room itself was the smallest room we've ever stayed, we could not even walk around the mattress. There was no actual bed, only a mattress on a platform. Barely room to open your suitcase. Room needs a good though cleaning and coat of white paint. Shower door leaked water onto the floor.
