I had an amazing stay at Che Lagarto Copacabana! The hostel has a great vibe clean, comfortable, and perfectly located close to the beach, shops, and everything you need in Rio. It’s the kind of place where it’s easy to meet people and feel at home right away.
What really made my experience unforgettable was the staff. A huge thank you to Guilherme, Duda, Paola, Moura, and Gabi you all went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Whether it was helping with recommendations, organizing activities, or just bringing great energy every day, you truly made a difference.
I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Rio. I’ll definitely be back!

Very good location, an old school house in Copacabana turned hostel.
The rooms were a bit worn with stained sheets and mangled wires and ac unit poking into the top bunk and a broken lock on the door
