The neighbourhood was cute and quiet. A bit of a trek to the ferry but the house was clean, spacious and the owner was highly responsive to emails/questions. Lots of little shops/bars/restaurants in the area if you aren’t wanting to cross the water.

Alvin was absolutely amazing host, very attentive if I needed any assistance. The property was gorgeous and the neighborhood has very friendly people who helped find things to go do in the French quarter. Would stay there again next year but definitely going to give myself longer to be able to really take in the city. Thank you Alvin for your hospitality, you were responsive and even let me check in early at 3pm instead of 4pm due to getting into town earlier than expected!

The house is cute, it’s in an older small quiet neighborhood. Pretty close to everything 15$ Uber ride to bourbon street. The inside of the house is pretty new. We requested “early early” check in. The owner said that could be arranged no problem. We called the day before to confirm the lock code ect & got a text and phone confirmation from the owner that we could check in anytime. Upon arrival there was no lock box on the house and the owner said it would be 6 hours before it could be unlocked. After a long over night drive it was very frustrating. He did get someone out there after 3 hours. It was obvious she was cleaning before we could enter. I’m a planner so I really don’t like the last minute stuff especially for a short weekend stay. So I would definitely make sure that you communicate heavily with the owner. The house is nice and in a safe area. Be prepared there are extra fees that pop up when you check out. 4 guest cost more than 2 during check out even tho when you search the price of two pops up. Also he requires a non refundable damage insurance along with the deposit. The only way you don’t pay the damage insurance is if you pay a large deposit and not renting with him before I didn’t want to do that. I would have given the place 5 stars if it wasn’t for the house not being ready at check in and the random charges. The early check in was one of the reasons we chose it. Also take your blow dryer!
