My favourite hotel in Japan - I love it here. The food is excellent, the personell super friendly and the extras when staying longer are amazing! The garden-feeling of the hotel is really cozy - a really relaxing place . I love the access to the beaches via the associated hotel (also try the "Maribu" beach next to the associated Renaissance hotel for snorkling in good weather).

We loved our 6 night stay at Coco Garden. The staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
Our room was nice and really big!
The food in the restaurant was amazing! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent.
One night we used the free shuttle bus to the Marriott and had the buffet dinner at Renaissance, and that was great too.
The pool was a beautiful temperature and it was never busy. The helpful lifeguards let us borrow goggles which was great.
It was the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing escape.
We loved the 2 tortoises, but would like it if they had a bigger area to roam. Currently it’s very small and it’s clear they want more freedom to walk around. The gardens are so big, so it would be easy to extend their fenced off area. Please give the tortoises more space.
The free shuttle bus to the Marriott was really handy and we went there a few times, including to swim at their little beach and to do a snorkelling tour.

Sehr in die Jahre gekommene Hotelanlage in einem schön angelegten Garten. Grosszügige Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Sehr positiv war, dass man in einem Partnerhotel alle Facilities benutzen konnte (Strand, Pool, Fitnessraum, verschiedene Restaurants). Mit Shuttlebus gut erreichbar. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und unterstützend, leider kaum Englisch sprechend.
Die Anlage ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad kann schon fast unter Denkmalschutz gestellt werden. Das Abendessen hat nicht überzeugt - jeden Abend dasselbe Angebot und in mässiger Qualität. Gut, dass man aufs Partnerhotel ausweichen konnte.

The room we booked had a bad smoking smell, after claiming it, we got a different room, which was very beautiful and did smell good. Personal was very helpful and friendly.
The strict rules that many things were only available for coco club members. So, it was not possible to eat in one of the other restaurants the breakfast, only in the coco garden hotel restaurant. Very bad was, that the onsen in the partner hotel was also only available for the coco club members, for which you have to stay 3 nights at least. We didn't know this and had only booked for 2 nights. I can understand it in high season but it was low season and the weather was still too cold for going outside into water, so beach and outside pool were not possible. That in such cases, the onsen was not made possible to use even for offered extra payment, is not understandable. As there is not much to do if you have no car, it was a very disappointing part of the trip and will cause, that we will next time search for some other hotel which is more flexible and which can guarantee a good relaxing time without sticking to their not customer friendly rules.
