Happy Trails has been transformed from a horse property in the Montana mountains into a luxurious western vacation home. Located in Big Sky, Montana. This once exclusive vacation home is the perfect getaway for your family reunion or large group vacation. It's like having your own private ranch! Happy Trails boast 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. This compound features a large main house, a new guest house, and a huge party barn. Mountain views span 360 degrees around the 22 acre property. So close to everything in Big Sky, a perfect location, situated a couple of minutes from town and a few miles to Big Sky Resort, so you get the best of both worlds. The famous North Fork Trail head is just steps out our back door for winter XC Nordic skiing. Marked snowshoe trails meander adjacent to the property, just strap on your shoes and go. We also have prestigious neighbors like Lone Mountain Ranch who borders our property and Yellowstone NP is just an hour away! As you enter the main house, a huge 20ft fireplace welcomes you and wall to wall windows in the main living area streams sunlight making it happy and open. Three bedrooms all have their own spacious seating areas and private fireplaces. Great for curling up for reading or relaxing after a day of activities. The bunkroom even has its own big private bathroom, so send the kids and teens down to hangout for games and xbox and they will be all set! The guest house is a home in itself. Located across the gravel driveway from the main house. It has a living room, full kitchen, dining room AND 3 bedrooms! All outfitted in chic mountain cabin décor. OK! Now the party barn...A 3000sqft heated state of the art barn turned into the ultimate gathering space. Pool table, ping pong table, dart board, and lounge/TV area will keep you entertained for hours. Imagine pouring drinks behind the 18 foot saloon bar with Kegerator, singing karaoke with your group on the 24 foot stage area, and enjoying beautiful artwork decorating the walls. The 7th bedroom is also attached here. It has its own guest half bath. Outside, the campfire sanctuary has lots of lounge seating for roasting those perfect s'mores and telling stories. Some attractions of house: LOCATION, screened in summer porch, covered deck and porch spaces. Real wood burning fireplace gives you that true crackling Montana feel. Deluxe Jacuzzi to enjoy après ski or after a long summer hike. Huge back yard, plus 20 acres to play and explore. We loved the property, however I had to cook my $150 prime rib in the guest qts.oven. It all worked out but owners know about the problem about the main house. It was a great house for our group of 10. I would like to think we left it more organized and in better shape than when we go it. Kent is amazing!!!!!

We had an amazing stay at happy trails which proved to be the perfect location for our family reunion. The house is conveniently located to the town of Big Sky, the mountain resort, hiking trails, swimming holes and more; and the party barn proved to be the perfect meeting spot for our family after active days of adventure. The listing pictures show an amazing house and property and I can truly say that Happy Trails is even more impressive in person. I highly recommend.

Three generation family of 14 plus one guest found the three different sleeping locations (house, upstairs barn and multipurpose room) perfect. Owner greeted us and the property management company was the best we have dealt with in our 30 plus years of family holidays. So much to do in Big Sky area we did not have as much time as we would have liked to enjoy the “Happy Trails” property.

Truly spectacular! The home, the hot tub, trails right off the property, the space from neighbors, the bar, the stunning art in the barn; I could go on and on. Our stay was nothing short of magical. Kevin and the property manager were there to support a successful checkin and they were able to help with anything we needed while we were there, not that we did need anything since the property is fully stocked and well equipped to support large groups and intimate settings. I would highly recommend a stay here it was a once in a lifetime experience, and as I say that we are already planning a trip back!

The Nobles' vacation home is unlike anything we've ever been to! We are so grateful to have stayed there while it was still snowing as the property is beautiful in the wintertime. Perfect location with quick access to Big Sky Resort and Town Center. Ample space for lots of people to enjoy spending time together and being able to rest in their own spaces. The barn was an awesome location for family and friends to get together!! We LOVED playing games and enjoying dinners in there.

We plan to return to Happy Trails one year for a summer vacation!

I have been organizing an annual ski trip with a group of friends for 18 years. We have traveled all over the western US and Canada and this year we finally made it to Big Sky, MT. We all wish we had made this stop earlier in our history. The property is amazing. All of the bedrooms are large, quiet, private, well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals for a large group or fix a snack for one. The layout of the property is awesome with the center piece being the barn party room/art gallery. In the party barn we had a movie night and a game night where we actually arranged a round-robin tournament of shuffle-puck, ping-pong and billiards. The artwork in the barn is stunning. The property itself is stunning with 22 pristine wooded acres teeming with wildlife. There is plenty of parking. Big Sky offered great skiing, but Happy Trails Lodge completed the Trip of a Lifetime by offering great accommodations amidst real Montana setting.
We will return to this place with our ski group as well as my family in the near future.

Everything you need. The owner is a great guy who wants you to have a great time. He met us at check in, tapped a keg and had champagne because we checked in on New Years eve.

Happy Trails is wonderful! We had an amazing time. The space is perfect. Everyone could have privacy, but also all could dine together and party in the barn. The barn is exquisite with art by the owners. Also, it is super fun with tons of games. The owners greeted us on arrival to give a tour and are so gracious and kind. We cannot wait to go back!

We already miss our mornings on the balcony, evenings at the fire pit, and afternoons having cocktails in the party barn. If you have a chance to rent this property: DO IT! You will not regret it. The property has spectacular views, is perfect for multi family or family reunion gatherings. It is furnished beautifully. Evening campfires followed by games in the party barn (the artwork is amazing!) were the perfect ending to each day. The location is just outside Big Sky Center. Kevin and Kimbie are wonderful hosts and highly recommend the property.
