My very first time to Thailand and choosing Kinnon was a right call! Close to centre 711 streetfood markets etc, daily cleaning neat tidy rooms and bathrooms, and delicious foods from their resto.
Just outside of the hostel kinda smells like...sewer bcs trashes are oftenly piled up. And it's almost everyday that I see some rats and roaches scurrying around the entrance. In fact one roach managed to get inside via small hole in the corner of the cafe :(

The bed was comfortable and big enough for a dorm-room bed. The showers were nice. The location is pretty good
I didn't like the set-up of the dorm room I was in. My bed was next to the door. The door made a loud noise whenever someone entered or left, which was often, due to it being a 16-bed dorm that was almost fully occupied. I've stayed in many hostels before where the door hasn't been a problem, but this one was doubly annoying. It wasn't simply the sound of a door physically opening and closing which bothered me, but the noise whenever someone used their keycard to unlock the door was akin to the digital noise one associates with a safe. Unfortunately, the air-con was also loud. Possibly the loudest I've ever heard anywhere in my life. It felt like there was a washing machine in the room. Plus, if you don't like a/c extremely cold, you might not appreciate staying here. As I say, I've stayed in many hostels and there are certain things you just deal with, but I wouldn't stay here again. There are too many other better options than being somewhere I couldn't sleep well. Others may disagree and that's fine.
