About this cabin rental
The Nugget on Coker unique cabin is located on a lovely creek in a small valley with a few other cabins. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The sounds of the creek, the breeze in the trees and birdsong are the greatest noise. Every detail in the newly refurbished cabin has been addressed to give you a comfortable, memorable visit. Local artisans designed and built the fireplace, gazebo and wrought iron stair railing. The new kitchen features a gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator with icemaker. The first floor has an open floor plan with kitchen, living room and dining in one section. The game room and downstairs bath are in a second area. The Nugget is not a pet friendly property. Coker Creek is in the Cherokee National Forest with of many opportunities for outdoor activities -- hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, fly fishing -- and yet is within driving distance of the Great Smoky mountains and Pigeon Forge shopping and entertainment as well as scenic rides by car and rail. Near Championship Golf Courses: Tellico Villlage has three championship golf courses. For a limited time, the village is inviting non-residents to play its private championship courses. The Links at Kahite is a true 'links' course that meanders through a beautiful natuaral setting and offers spectical panoramic view of the Great Smoky Mountains. The Tanasi course has six sets of tees that play from 6,731 to 5,044 yards. The course borders Tellico lake and offers a diversity of appeal from the challenging water holes to the strategic par fives. The Tanasi Clubhouse includes an excellent restaurant that offers casual dining in a beautiful setting. The Toqua course features a classic design that is considered one of the best golf tracks in Tennessee. The course was built into an exquisite natural setting with several holes playing alongside Tellico Lake. Toqua is as challenging as it is beautiful and holes seven through nine may be the most demanding three consecutive holes in the state. Ocoee River - Olympic White Water Course: In 1996 the Ocoee river was the site of the World's first Olympic whitewater event on a natural river. The river is in a beautiful rocky gorge with Class III & IV rapids. Kayakers are seen on the river year round and rafting outfitters offer trips June-September. The White water center has a one-mile hiking trail which crosses a 330 foot suspension bridge and circles the center. The trail is entirely accessible for those who are physically challenged. There are an additional 20 miles of trails for hikers and mountain bikers, including the Bear Paw Trail and the Chestnut Mountain Trail, both of which are loops. A recent addition, the Thunder Rock Express, has received a lot of positive comments from bikers. The Old Copper Road Historic Trail allows hikers and bikers an easier paced adventure along the restored path that was used to transport copper by wagon from Ducktown to Cleveland before the arrival of the railroad from Blue Ridge. Fly Fishing - Tellico River and Citico Creek: The Tellico River and surrounding area make up one of Tennessee's classic trout-fishing destinations. The Tellico is best known for heavy stockings and big-fish potential on the main river and on Citico Creek. The Tellico is a big river, offering plenty of room for plenty of fishermen, and the heavily stocked section is more than 13 miles long. Tthe forks of Citico Creek and the Bald River, a major tributary of the Tellico, form the centerpieces of the Citico and Bald River wilderness areas. These streams offer wild trout in unspoiled wilderness settings and, more often than not, no company from other anglers. Guides and outfitters are available and the Cherohala Welcome center provides maps and a wealth of information.

What a wonderful property and a great stay. We had beautiful weather to enjoy the deck and creek, loads of privacy, and it could not have been a better experience. We’ve already talked about going back soon. Had a very good long weekend.

I came here with some friends for a little spring break getaway and it was perfect! It is the perfect size and has everything you need to keep yourself entertained. The hot tub is super nice and very clean. The host is super kind and very helpful with all questions. Overall, it was a great experience and everything we had hoped for.

We really enjoyed our three nights. The scenery is beautiful the running stream behind the house is so tranquil. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from everything for a little bit. The house has everything needed. We hit the grocery store before we arrived and never left.

The property was beautiful, the area was gorgeous. There were some great restaurants in town. The beds were very comfortable, the fireplace was so nice on cold nights. The hot tub was just right and very clean. The house was stocked with more than enough necessities, I loved all the special little touches that made it feel so warm and welcoming. Also upon arrival they had left us a loaf of very tasty raisin bread(how thoughtful).
Thank you so very much!

We loved this place comfortable stay, amazing hot tub. Communication through VRBO was difficult. Kept getting error message. Would definitely recommend this place to others, and would stay again.

We loved the fireplace and comfort of the king bed. Having a hot tub and jacuzzi indoor tub was an added bonus. Super cute cabin!

The cabin was well-equipped and quite relaxing. The creek and hot tub promotes a tranquil atmosphere. The cabin is in a mostly secluded area, although there are homes near on both sides of the home. Beds were nice and full kitchen was a plus. The cabin was pretty dusty on objects at eye level and the sofa was very uncomfortable.
Overall, a nice stay that could be nearly perfect after a thorough cleaning and couch replacement.

The stay at “The Nugget” was wonderful. Was celebrating my girlfriend birthday here an it was a 9/10 stay. From The sound of the creek, the jacuzzi, the comfort of the beds, the way the kitchen was stocked with utensils and everything needed, the cleanliness of the cabin, to the location of cabin. The only negative I can say about is the smell that’s in the cabin. It’s a very distinct smell that’s strong. Other than that we enjoyed it!

Nice cabin in a nice area. We took a Tennessee valley railroad museum trip through the mountains that was awesome. It and many attractions in the area. The cabin has a great hot tub.

We stayed here to unwind during fall break. The outdoor jacuzzi, big indoor tub, beautiful outdoor deck, fire pit, game room, and fully stocked kitchen were amazing. All the bedding smelled fantastic, they left us a small welcome dessert loaf of bread, and they had the tv on when we arrived. We spent a lot of time cozied up with books from the local bookstore, The Bookshelf, and a fire. They also had a nice hammock type chair that i enjoyed relaxing in while reading outside. They had two fire roasting sticks and wood for our smores night as well, and it was cedar! Very wonderful stay, and I think we may end up coming back not only for the cabin, but the local places like The Raven's Nest (beautiful local artists different works), The Bookshelf, and the Tellico Grains Bakery..plus others that we didnt have a chance to visit yet.

Great place. Everyone loved it. About the only complaint is the road leading to it. In one spot where it dips down, it is very rough. We pretty much had to inch along in that spot each time. Maybe get with the neighbors and get that spot fixed up, before someone breaks an axle on it.

A huge issue was the lockbox not working when we arrived. No cell service, drove 10 miles to get cell service, contacted owner to be told others have had issues, check the other lockbox and gave us new code. Why did you give us a lockbox when you knew others has issues???
Screen doors following off tracks, microwave rust on inside and all dishes were chipped. Just a few issues 🙁

I wanted to plan a weekend getaway with my wife. I wasn't sure what to expect. I have never used VRBO before. This Cabin was perfect. I had some issues with the lock. Which was probably on me for changing dates. But Susan responded quickly. Took care of the issue. The attention to the little things is what I enjoyed the most. We will be heading back in the fall.

Our time at the cabin was wonderful. The cabin was very clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast and coffee on the porch, in the morning, while listening to the creek was perfect and the hot tub was wonderfully relaxing. In a word ‘it was perfect’ ❤️

We enjoyed our time at The Nugget!! Spent most of the mornings and evenings on the back deck listening to the creek and at night watching the fireflies. Will definitely come back!

This cabin is down a gravel road a good ways from town, but if you like a secluded spot, it is perfect. The hot tub was in good condition, and the grill worked fine. The cabin kitchen has everything you need. There was firewood and a firepit. Beds were clean and comfortable.
The internet worked but it took some figuring because the 3 ring binder guest information seems quite out of date. I tried calling the listed property manager & left a voicemail that was not returned. However, I finally figured it out.
We drove to a waterfall and the Lost Sea. Both were about 30-45 minutes away. We tried going to two other landmarks that were listed on a brochure in the cabin, but the road was washed out for both those drives! But there's lots to see and do, or simply relax at the cabin. Lovely place and we are likely going to return.

Relaxing cabin with hot tub in the woods. Loved the creek to play in and hot tub to relax in. Kids loved the foosball game. Comfortable beds. Enjoyed the local waterfalls, fish hatchery, and welcome centers. Only wished we'd seen a bear. Looking forward to our next stay.

We were in the area to visit family who just moved there. We were a little further away from them than I planned but it worked out OK!

This is a cozy charming cabin away from everything. You will enjoy your “get a way”. Being on the creek with the water sounds can’t be beat. Everything is placed with loving care in it’s place. It’s obvious that the host has paid attention to details and comfort is outstanding. The property is secluded almost at the end of the road. All the people we encountered were welcoming and helpful. There were enough attractions to entertain us in the area. You will enjoy being close to nature.

Cabin was in a beautiful location. Not too far from our activities. Had everything we needed.

While our stay was wonderful and the property is exactly as pictured and had literally everything you could need. When we arrived to check in at 4:15 the cabin was not cleaned the lady was working on it but she did not have us coming in that day in fact our trip was not on her schedule at all. She had only been there an hour and the previous guests had left it a mess. But she worked quickly to clean and sanitize and refill the hot tub and the rest of the cabin she made quick work of with the help of another lady she called for backup. Once they were done though we settled in and had a great time. Would definitely like to stay there again. It was a wonderful place to just relax and unwind especially on the deck and listen to the sounds of the creek.

Everything was perfect! Very clean and had everything we needed. Being right on Coker Creek was so amazing. Listening to the running water while in the hot tub was so relaxing. We even did a little fishing. We were in Tellico at the Trout Festival for our fly fishing business and this location was perfect, not too far. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend and the homemade bread was such a sweet touch. Thanks Susan!

My 3 girlfriends and I wanted to do a trip together. Our first trip in 20 years altogether. So relaxing sitting on back deck listening to the water, relaxing in hot tub and also doing the fire pit. Traveled around as well beautiful. Thanks for having us. Susan was so helpful I had so many questions I probably drove her nuts lol.

The property Is beautiful. The house itself is beautiful and comfortable. We loved setting on the deck and listening to the creek. And the hot tub was relaxing. Susan was a good host. She is a phone call away with any questions you have. She was kind to have firewood for us but unfortunately we didn’t get to use it due to rain. We cooked steaks on the grill. Would love to come back when we can.

The homemade raisin bread was amazing!
