The room was big and spacious with a balcony (I think we were upgraded). Great location. Lovely couple running it. One bed in our room was comfy.
Unfortunately, the 2nd bed in our room was as hard as a thin foam camp mat. Also, as others mentioned, water heater in room is small, so need to leave a gap between showers - or have very short ones - an easy work around.

Everything was perfect

She moved us to a quieter room because the 1st room she gave us had small window openings with no glass letting in all the cold and traffic noise. The 2nd room was quiet and warm. She helped us get tickets for the Fansipan Express without charging extra, and so helped us avoid the line. She took us right to where we needed to go to catch the train, and cut up an apple for us to take with us and gave us some plastic raincoats to wear.
We had to pay an extra 3% to use a credit card. One of the owners smoked a lot, and the smoke came in our room.
