The staff were very kind.
The room had a desk and a sofa, making for a comfortable stay.

Historically significant mansion, originally owned by the famous Assamese writer Birinchi Kumar 1908 to 1964. The rooms are elegant and furnished with flair. There are high ceilings and several common rooms, a living room, dining room, and hallway. This is spacious, comfortable, and uplifting. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is in the historic downtown of Guwahati.
Meals are home cooked and available for extra payment. There’s also a common refrigerator and kettle in the rooms. The rooms are big enough for 2 including beds and a sitting area, a bathroom and plenty of storage for clothes and personal items.
I enjoyed my stay a great deal an didn’t want to leave.
It’s an older house so the electrical wires and lights and general upkeep seem to need some repairs and renovations. This would uplevel the experience.

The people are nice, it’s close to the river and market and it’s pretty.
It’s very noisy and the bed was very hard so not a good sleep.
