Nestled in New Braunfels, this charming cottage for $183 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. This 2 bedroom/one bath property is in a quiet residential area on Lake Dunlap of the Guadalupe River. Hi-speed internet and WiFi makes a staycation easy. The room with the Queen size bed, and the living room have flat screen TVs with WiFi and Netflix connection. All beds including the Full-size CouchBed have 450 count sheets. Fully air-conditioned and heated cottage has a spacious living room with great views of the lake and the bird feeders. Wood grill and propane grill are available. On Nov 5, 2023 the Lake is now at its normal filled level with brand new dam gates. The views from the cottage and the backyard are still outstanding as the property is at the deepest part of Lake Dunlap. **In 2019 The Texas Legislature allowed Texas Counties to add additional taxes to all overnight accommodations in their counties. On September 1, Guadalupe County is assessing a 7% room tax on all hotels etc. This will be charged to you based on the nightly room rate and payment needs to be made as an additional payment****

Nice quiet street, friendly neighbors and beautiful views! Granddaughter enjoyed fishing so much and there was plenty of space for all four of us inside and outside! Loved it!

Nice set up of space. We didn't end up going down to the dock area because by the time we'd get back it was so darn hot we just wanted to stay inside and we don't fish so can't review on it. We are all glad we brought an extra pillow since they are all pretty flat. Only real hiccup was the ac had gone out before we got there. Communication excellent, but it severely delayed us starting our vacation. We had to go find somewhere to eat, indoors (so hot), that took us awhile on a Saturday night that also didn't have an hour wait. Added an extra expense we weren't planning on for an adult family of 5 when I had brought an easy meal to cook which was part of the reason we chose to stay at a place like this. Eating out has gotten so expensive.

The property was bigger than I anticipated, which was a nice surprise l. Enjoyed the view in the backyard which was beautiful scenery with a calming river. My one and only complaint was the full sized bed might be a little older but that’s it. New Braunfels is a gorgeous town and I recommend combining this VRBO with a nice visit to town square for your trip!

The little cabin was just perfect for a short getaway. We were all comfortable and it was so relaxing. We had everything we needed and were able to cook and grill with ease. We just had a short drive to Rockin' R for our river float and an easy trip to Gruene for dinner one night. Thanks John!

We found this property to be clean and cozy. It does not offer wading or swimming, but is only a few minutes away from those amenities, along with other things to do. Keeps you out of the crowd when you want to be. Ideal for fishing!

Family of 4 with two teenagers. Very spacious with good size living room and two outdoor patios. Water access is not great, but a very quiet place to sleep at night. We’re from the country so not used to noise. 15-20 minute drive to most things to do but that’s not bad. We had friends over for a cookout and had plenty of space. We’d stay again.

Lovely neighbors, very friendly. When we arrived the house was kept except for a dead water bug on the living room floor. The patio was so dusty and the furniture had not been dusted in a long while. The deck was nice but again the chairs were full of leaves and dust just thrown to the side. I understand its outside furniture but it was pretty bad. It was okay but disappointed because of all the 5 star reviews. The water was super merky so we didn't swim, a little bit of a let down. Not horrible but I don't think I would stay again. Minimal contact with owner but that was okay just surprised since all reviews said John was in constant contact. On the positive side the house is well stocked so that was nice and we enjoyed the birds and squirrels . We made the best of it and enjoyed our family time.
