This spacious home is great for 3 couples with 1 master BR with queen & private balcony overlooking Newfound Harbor, 1 BR with 2 twins & private balcony with view of salt pond, 1 BR with queen. It is one mile off route 1, the first house at the opening of a deep water canal facing the ocean; there is easy access to the Gulf;

This home was one of my favorite stays in the keys. The architecture was a lovely 70s vibe, new appliances, and very clean. The 360 degree decks are the standout feature of this home stunning views all the way around. Rick provided so much drinking water it actually saved me money buying the bottled variety. Perfectly located halfway between Key West and Marathon it makes exploring the lower keys a breeze. This home is pet friendly, and perfect for a relaxing, fun vacation in paradise.

We stayed in this property for 2 months and loved it. It is located at the end of a dead-end street and the entrance/exit of a canal. Hence the only noticeable noise came from occasional motorboat launches. The property is very roomy and rustic with natural wood throughout. Most of the appliances are quite new. The bathroom and kitchen fixtures work adequately although the addition of a grab bar over the bathtub would be beneficial. The water source is a 10,000-gallon cistern fed by rainwater from the roof and supplemented by municipal water, hence the water supply is unsuitable for drinking or food preparation without boiling. However, we were provided with many 5-gallon jugs of bottled water. The internet and cable TV are good. Two of the three bedrooms are on the top floor accessible by a spiral staircase that is unfriendly to small children, pets, and persons with physical limitations. Hence, we primarily used the bedroom on the main floor. The outside balconies are wonderful for sunbathing and enjoying the ocean view. Paddling the property’s kayak alongside the mangrove offers wildlife viewing closeup, that is in addition to the numerous seabirds constantly flying over the property. We consider this property a nice, comfortable and relaxing cottage with a gorgeous ocean view. The landlord is helpful, cooperative and accessible via texting. Highly recommended if you don’t mind the minor inconvenience of using bottled water for drinking and food preparation.

Mix of A and C- ! Views , decks, windows and location were fantastic. High ceilings and large bedrooms very nice. Wonderful access to Bay and ocean without using canal. We are kayakers and were pleased with location. Negatives are spiral stairs to use master bedroom was tough, drinking water is 5 gall bottles delivered but not hauled upstairs necessarily. Interior DIY finishes were rough and worn but that was ok with us. Cleaner and less junk would help.

The location and views from this home cannot be beat, but the home needs a serious upgrade. The furniture and interior are very worn and outdated. Cracked tiles everywhere and wood that’s had obvious and significant water damage. The home is on a cistern (rain water collection system) but the owner does provide lots of bottled water. There were only 2 towels per bathroom and 1 washcloth so bring your own. Bedding pillows etc. are in need of replacement. The dock is fabulous and we were able to easily launch our 21 ft. Key west right on property from a primitive ramp. Important to note is that you’re at the end of a long canal and a single lane channel going out - so lots of wake and traffic, including a large dive boat that goes in and out - but again the dock is great with great bumpers. Canal depth runs 4-6 ft based on average tides. I think most fisherman would not care about any of the “home” items I mentioned - for me it was a disappointment for the cost.
